Foster

Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes.
I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers.
* It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1.
Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding.
They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way.
VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too.
They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me.
Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week?
Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last.
You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too …
Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …

Plants almost doubled their height. So i did some lst on them for the last time.
Was hoping to use the scrognet, but i will wait with that till week 4 of flower.
Plants are very bushy and grow good till now on.
Feeding them with 2ml/l fishmix and 4ml/l bloom from biobizz.
Also i spray fishmix as foliar spray and the ladies love it.
Im growing in a 1.2x1.2x2m tent and it is a little tight with 2 50l buckets in here but i wanted to fill out the tent. So hopefully after this last time lst the 2 plants will almost cover the entire tent

This week is special, i got the New System from ac infinity. I need to get comfort with everything, but its realy high Qualität.
For now we can get the best vpd for the lady, so i hope the best for the flower.

She is in full flower now and she will have some large tops as she is not a bushy plant.it has been a rainy last week here in my province in Canada but it's calling for lots of heat and sun for next week

The plants tolerate the nutrients well, some of the lower leaves showed slight signs of burning, they turned a little yellow and the tips of the leaves were brown 🍃🍃
Therefore, I will continue to use only one Bud Stimulator and that - Jungle Indabox Environ X, I will leave Big Bud from Advanced Nutrientiens for other plants.
Training:
Defoliation: I still remove the large and lower leaves so that they do not shade themselves 🌞🌞
I'm not planning a bigger defoliation until next week, the girls are a little leafy, but not enough to need more trimming 🌴🌴
General: The girl is already blooming strongly, dense buds are forming 🌸🌸, the branches reach the same height, exactly as I wanted 👍 At the moment it has more leaves than I would like, but I will do more defoliation later, as I wrote 🍃
I will adjust the nutrients from the next watering, I will leave the only bud stimulator 🏵️

The growth continues, and all three plants show good potential. One of the plants is ahead of the other two, but it obviously has a different phenotype - this is visible both by the shape of the leaf and by the color (small spoiler - I did not add mycorrhiza to this particular pot).
By the end of the week, the growth slowed down significantly, almost stopped - it turned out ideal given the size of my box. Apart from defoliation, I do not use any techniques, we continue to observe 😎

11/12 start of week 3 of flower hoping she is done stretching cus I'm out of room when it comes to height. Gave all the goodies plus added Fulpower and molasses
11/14 stretching seems to have stopped. Dropped humidity and raised vpd to stay around 1.5 and raised light intensity so it's 1000 ppfd at top of plant

Just trimmed up the girls one last time before the flip, took about twelve clones off of them all in total because I need to select a blueberry x zamal mom from them. really hoping they stretch quickly in the first couple weeks to give me some extra room to work with in the canopy.

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are topdressed @ ml/gallon of soil.
Day 1 we started with lots of sunshine and clear skies.Then we had a pop up severe thunderstorm with grape sized hail. Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes.
Day 2 we have clear skies and sunshine. The temperature is mid 70's. You can see the hail damage that occured day 1. The #3 plant was topped by a hail stone. Luckily it only got the top and didn't take out the side branches growing out of the 4th node. This was very fortunate a topping above the 4th node done by nature.
Day 3 we had rain and thunderstorms through the previous night and into the morning. We had sunshine, clear skies, and temperatures in the upper 70's. That was followed by severe thunderstorms, rain, and a touch of hail from 4p.m. to 6p.m.
Day 4 we had relief from the rain. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's and lots of sunshine. We have a few days of sunshine in the forecast 🙏
Day 5 we had lots of sunshine and clear skies. Highs in the upper 70's and 49% humidity. We needed the dryness. 🙏
Day 6 we had clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's.
Day 7 we had partly cloudy skies and temps in the middle 70's.
Overall this week was a success. We thankfully avoided any major damage from the hail. The girls more than doubled in height and really kicked out some branches after topping.

Das Blümchen gibt Vollgas! Die Blütenstände werden immer dicker und duften schon extrem betörend fruchtig. Der Duft sorgt mal wieder für Uneinigkeit. Melonendüfte oder doch Rhabarber? 🤣
Insgesamt sorgt die Pflanze bisher für Begeisterung. Die Buds sind für diese Phase schon extrem weit entwickelt obwohl gerade mal die Hälfte der angegebenen Blütezeit verstrichen ist. Wo das noch hinführt bleibt abzuwarten. Entweder sehen wir nach dem angegebenen 56 bis 63 Tagen keine Blätter mehr unter den Trichomen

Absolutely blown away by the new 2025 setup, prev ran 3 tents 😂, switched to AC Ifinity 2,4 x 1,2 single tent, 3 x 150 or 6“ fans. Fans all port outside, 2 exhaust with yet uncoupled carbon filters, 1 inlet with pollen filter. 6-7 air push fans (not all yet on 😂). SpiderFarmer 16L humidifier, inkbird RH control, inkbird heat control, heater, trotek dehumidifier (12L) with drain line and reservoir. Blumat system with RO fed 20L water butt, each pot with 3 long ceramic blumats. Data logger from SensorPush including WiFi hub and 4 sensors. One in cellar room (lung room), one above each plant canopy. Setup logger n sensors and track VPD. System running itself
