We stretched her out again and gently bent the top to keep an even canopy and improve light distribution. Temperature — Day: 24–28°C | Night: 20–23°C Humidity — Day: 65–75% | Night: 65–90% So far everything looks good — we continue to monitor her progress. More updates coming soon!

White Widow – Week 6 | Second Big Flower, Buds Forming 🌸🌿 Light Schedule: 12/12 from seed Room Temp: ~28°C (stabilized with AC) Humidity: ~66% VPD: ~1.33 kPa CO₂: 450–800 ppm Watering: Hand watering Soil Content EC: ~2.96 ⸻ From Hairs to Buds This week marks a real turning point. Our White Widow is moving past simple hairs, now we can clearly see the beginnings of tiny buds forming. It’s the second big flower stage in her journey, and the structure is starting to express the true White Widow personality: compact, resinous, and promising. I took her out of the tent for another photoshoot, capturing her in detail with the Sony A6000. Close-ups show her leaves, structure, and those first clustered flowers. I also filmed short videos, including one where I share how I talk with my plants daily. For me, it’s not optional — it’s part of a symbiotic relationship. Plants respond to energy and care, and I believe everyone should try it. 🌱💭 ⸻ Light Strategy – Emerson Effect Simulation A special note this week: I recorded a screen video from the TrolMaster TM+ app to show how the lights are scheduled. 🌅 Wake-up: The reds switch on 15 minutes before the whites and blues. 🌇 Wind-down: At night, the reds also stay on 15 minutes longer than the other spectrums. This is designed to simulate sunrise and sunset while taking advantage of the Emerson Effect, a synergistic boost in photosynthesis efficiency when far-red and red light are combined with other wavelengths. The result? Plants wake up and settle down more naturally, with smoother light transitions, reduced stress, and potentially increased energy capture. It’s a small tweak, but it reflects how every detail of this environment is tuned with intention. ⸻ Environmental Changes This week, a big addition: the AC unit. Before, the room was running hot at 31–32°C and more, but now it’s stable at 28°C (occasionally 29°C). Combined with ~66% RH, this gives a steady VPD of 1.33, right in a comfortable zone for flower. CO₂ naturally fluctuates between 450–800 ppm, and the plants are thriving in these conditions. Even during the hotter weeks, they adapted beautifully, proof of the resilience of both the genetics and the environment we’ve been building. ⸻ Feeding & New Recipe Until now, she’s been on the Aptus base recipe: • Regulator – 0.15 ml/L • CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml/L This week, I introduced a Plagron trio to push flower development: • Power Buds – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Green Sensation – 1 ml/L Why now? Because she’s transitioned from stretch to actual bud formation. Power Buds helps with compact flowering sites, Sugar Royal enhances metabolism and energy (especially under high light), and Green Sensation supports resin and bud swelling later on. Together with Aptus, it’s a blend of precision and experimentation, trusting experience, intuition, and past results. ⸻ 12/12 From Seed – A Quick Recap This run is about exploration: • Started from seeds, with early germination struggles (mistakes included, lessons learned). • This White Widow is the sole survivor of those early days. • Straight into 12/12 from seed, she grew compact and resilient, surprising us by taking her time to flower despite the cycle. • Now, at Week 6, we see her first true buds. Checkout my Instagram @smallbudz to see the Small budget grow setup for indoor use, low watt, low heat, low noise, step by step. 07/12/2019 - Fed her 2l of 6.5PH water with 0,5ml of each Grow, Bloom, Max and Alga-mic, and 1ml of each Heaven and Vera,noticed about 10% run off, also added a green filter to the camera lens. Adjusted the light distance to 55cm again it was toooo close about 32cm. 10/12/2019 - Decided to go back and check the basics, removed led strip to give a proper 'night' time, changing light cycle to 20/4h no more 'exotic' 22/2h, re-checked the light distance every 2 to 3 days to ensure 60-45cm and I can tell all ready she is loving it. Also added home made Co2 made with 1 tsp of yeast, 3/4 tsp of sugar 700ml of warm water in a 1l bottle with a tiny pin hole on the cap. 11/12/2019 - Fed her 1.5l of 6.5PH water with 0,5ml of each Grow, Bloom, Max and Alga-mic, and 1ml of each Heaven and Vera,noticed about 10% run off. 12/12/2019 - 8 weeks have passed and no flowers I guess I'm flipping to 1212h to see if she reacts.

Things are still going strong! I think this is the official halfway point of flowering, and the plants are in high gear bulking up and focusing on creating big, dense buds. I did notice a few brown spots on all of the Cherry Gorilla’s leaves - most notably CG#3 - I consulted some of my local grow buddies as well as the manager of my local store and they gave me some very detailed instructions - I am going to be adding 1/2 teaspoon of Cal-Mag to my water mix until week 7 AND stop diluting my food mixes - my plants are HUNGRY was the official diagnosis! I think that should be a pretty easy fix and am looking forward to the results. So I am told, I should be able to see results from the Cal-Mag flush within a week or so. Also - I was also given some words of encouragement from some long timers who saw the videos of my tent, and they are saying everything looks great and I should be proud! Again - super stoked on the progress. Planning on a big defoliation after next water to get the girls focusing mostly on the flowers, and significantly removing all of the newly developed undergrowth and under canopy buds. Canopy is felling and the TSW2000 so far is not disappointing, have it higher at 85% power with gives me a 650ppfd in the center and 450 on the edges, with for this time is quite perfect. Everything bounced back to normal. These smoothies want a bit of nitrogen throughout veg. 90% of the time when I have an issue it’s because PH or PPM being too high. This wasn’t the case as I ran two tests on my medium and everything was fine. Once i fed them twice with some higher nitrogen levels and some kelp n algae they bounced back in a week. After the first feeding I could notice a nice green coming back into the leaves. I have not flushed once since then. I’ve been feeding a tea every two weeks instead to break up whatever’s left behind. I plan to do one more feed in a couple days and I’m gonna do a light flush with SLF and then continue feeding nutes and teas until she’s ready to be flushed towards harvest.

Welcome Back liebe Community 🌱💚 Frozen Biscotti von Dutch Passion on the Run! Die fünfte Woche ist vorbei (Wachtumstag 35) und die Pflanze entwickelt sich wunderbar. Sie ist 44cm hoch und die unteren Seitentriebe bilden sich mehr gestreched aus und erreichen fast die Höhe der Main-Cola. Die Pflanze hat diese Woche ihren 9 Liter Endtopf bekommen. Außerdem habe ich dir Pflanze bereits defoliert um im unteren Bereich der Pflanze eine bessere Auslaüchtung zu bekommen. Ich habe die Pflanze nun gestoppt und dabei leider einen der Seitentriebe mit abgeschnitten. Naja, dadurch bildet die wieder einen Haupttrieb aus, bleibt aber hoffentlich mit den anderen gleich auf. Every corner, every canopy, every branch tells a story — and this week, I’ve taken the time to slow down and capture that story as best I can through the lens of my camera. All the photos you’ll see in this update were taken with care and intention. I use my Sony camera in full manual focus mode, and I don’t just snap and go — I spend time with each plant, each angle, waiting for that perfect moment when everything aligns. These are not just photos to document — they’re my attempt to reflect the feeling of the room, the energy of the grow, and the soul of each plant. Just like with the videos, I don’t shoot randomly and decide later. I record what matters, and what I record, I use. It keeps me focused, organized, and deeply connected to the process — and I believe it helps me tell the story more clearly, whether through stills or moving pictures. All five Runtz phenos are finishing beautifully. Each one expressing unique traits, but all carrying the same stunning quality — dense, clean, colorful, resin-rich flowers that fill the room with pride. But for those who love the details, the full spread of pictures is right here, as always. t this point in flower, the girls are not eating — they’re just drinking clean water with nothing but System Clean in the reservoir, at a rate of 0.25 ml per liter. This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. On the upside, it helps speed up ripening slightly, encourages more compact flower formation, and mimics the natural seasonal decline in daylight. On the flip side, it slightly reduces the overall DLI (daily light integral), so you need to ensure your PPFD and spectrum are dialed in just right to avoid sacrificing yield. For me, the trade-off is worth it — the plants are expressing themselves beautifully, finishing strong, and packing on the final magic. Now it’s your turn — I’d love to hear from you.
