Today they got a flawless finish for the second time since the last update, the weather should be like this until the end of the month, without rain, that's what I hope for, so we'll see... all in all, the girls are close, it's time to finish this season, I hope for good weather for at least another 10 days and then I can finish this seasom😁

Hi Growmies I hope your week had been as productive and fun as mine and that your flowering is progressing. It has been a very easy week to manage their needs. Nicely set and with lots of light per plant , we have a lot of clusters of pistils throughout their whole structure. Keeping the humidity lower now is helping to reduce the risk of bud rot with so much vegetation and fresh pistils to feed it. It will also help raise the oils needd within the girls to keep them supple amd attractive to those buzzy friends they hope to attract. The smell of sweet pineapple is so strong in the room now and their stickiness from resin is really starting to show itself now. It is evident that the plagron products have had a substantial effector the progress now with so.mamy sets of flowers lower in the canopy too. Seeing other grows of the Biscotti not using the products , there is a difference in node lengths between flowers without doubt. The flowering plants are nice and stocky compared to most of my previous grows sonit has been easier to keep them well within the lights sweet spot With just 2 weeks left that will hopefully be the adding weight and second flowering sets kicking into play too , a good yield could be on the cards. I do seem to have 2 phenotypes off the Biscotti running so it will be interesting to see how they differ at the end for yield etc.. I have added a small greenhouse heater to bring the temp up a little and help with the humidity control too as we are experiencing a very cold snap again in good old Blighty. All in all a great week with a more to follow hopefully. 😀 Be lucky and stay safe among the chaos unfolding.......

Ne Obliviscaris. Humidity Day 40-45%, Night 60-65% Internodes are very close together. was hitting 450umol at seedling level making it absorb more than it can use, reduced to 280-300umol @18 hours as expected vertical growth increased. During the 18 hours of daylight the first 9 is highly saturated in blue, 5000 kelvin, the 9 hours thereafter are closer to 3000 kelvin. Last 9 hours dosed 280nm. Height is too far to cause damage. UVB light is not detected by plants in the same way other wavelength/colours are. UV cannot be measured using umol as it doesn't drive photosynthesis. The plant has tiny little sensors that get set off to even little amounts, dimer salt bridges, the UV decays these salt bridges, which initiate response. You don't need large/long exposure doses for the plant to recognize UV is present. What's an enzyme? Think of it like a multiplier, you can add an enzyme to any particular biological process to vastly increase its proficiency at a particular process. Cannabis plants take blue/violet light and use it to create an enzyme called "photolayse". This allows the plant to repair UV damage done to the plant using a process called excision repair, this repairs the damage at a much much faster rate than it could by itself. Repairing 100% damage. The key is the plant needs time to build a reserve of the repair enzymes before using it. This is replicated in nature as, by midday UV levels peak, the generally cooler mornings allow lifetime to build up. The problem I encountered was dosing with 280nm lights on or 1 hour after the lights were on. Photomorphogenesis, the plant plans for the future of its growth, if the wavelength is not present during growth then how can it plan accordingly? The very presence of UV changes parameters with which the plant will grow, light itself dictates the growth pattern of the plant. Not only that it can dramatically alter the regular terpene profile of a strain in unexpected ways. Gran daddy purple grown using 280nm can triple already high terpene linalool. Linalool is terpene best known for lavender, largely responsible for its beautiful smell. Trouble sleeping you say? Having tried Durban poison from a dispensary and reading about its levels of tetrahydrocannabivarin. I've always wanted to taste the difference UV would make to such an already stand-out strain such as Durban.

Not much more work to do... I did some light defoliation today to avoid any popcorn buds and I think that’s it until harvest for all my girls. I’ll just keep watering them. - The critical is the most advanced one... I’m thinking to harvest it in around 2 weeks... so I’ll be starting flushing soon. - Northern Lights & Moby D have developed many stems and they are looking very even in height throughout the plants. They are not half the height of the Critical, but still have some additional weeks to go

All the plants have been given another good stretch and the flowers are constantly swelling. The odour is also becoming more intense. One plant of the Hardcore zoap is already getting a lot of brown hairs. The climate is a little 1 degree during the day and warmer at night, but still steady.

happy growing!!! its just been a shit week and I am just trying to make time to see the girls everyday before lights out. last week of nutrients and then its flush. I didn't go heavy at all on the nutrients, tried to stay organic for the most part using FOX FARMS soli and nutrients. 2/6/2I I try to stay away from chems to beef up the buds and I am relying on the light, bit of CO2 and the organics. problem is, I love my SF2000 so how to get more light out of this LED? do i I add another SF1000 to the mix? should I look to another lighting group to help enhance with another light bar? I don't want to get rid of a perfectly good light, I just want to enhance the buds with more light...,MAYBE if I ask SPIDER FARMER to build a custom light ( and I DID) I could get something to run down the side of the SF2000......fingers crossed

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. 📆 Semana 7 La Biscotti Gelato sigue su escalada hacia la perfección. Los tonos morados se profundizan y se mezclan con matices verdes y dorados, mostrando un contraste cromático impresionante. The smell is getting stronger, lots of citrus in it. All grows without any problem, as always with barneys seeds. Amnesia Lemon stopped stretching finaly and its now working on buds. looks like Im almost at the half of flowering. Will see how it goes next weeks. Cheers!

27.07.: Zu Beginn von Woche 6 habe ich mich dazu entschieden die G41 an dem Großteil der Triebe zu topen. Dadurch erhoffe ich mir einen buschigeren Wuchs mit mehr Trieben und mehr Zeit für die PBB in Größe aufzuholen. An den Schnittstellen, wo die Pflanze getopt wurde ist an einigen Stellen ein roter fast blutähnlicher Saft ausgetreten. Ich hab vorher noch nie gehört oder gesehen, dass das passieren kann und weiß auch nicht woher das kommt. Die PBB brauche ich nur kaum zu trainieren, da benötigt die G41 mehr Zuwendung. Da die Pflanzen größer und die Töpfe mit der Zeit immer trockener werden, verlängere ich die Gießzeit auf 5 min. 28.07.: Heute sind mir zum ersten Mal die Stempelhaare an der PBB aufgefallen. Sie ist also schon bereit für die Blüte. Ich denke, das liegt daran, dass die PBB eine fast flowering Sorte ist. Sie muss aber noch warten, bis sie ihren Platz vollständig ausgefüllt hat. 30.07.: Beide sind gut gewachsen. Die PBB konnte gut gegenüber der G41 an Höhe aufholen. Jetzt sind sie fast gleich groß. Ansonsten gibt es nicht viel zu machen oder bemerken. 01.08.: Zum Ende von Woche 6 habe ich das Scrog Netz installiert. Die kommende Woche werde ich die Triebe immer wieder unter das Netz stecken, damit niedrigere Triebe aufholen können und ein möglichst einheitlicher Wuchs entsteht. Bei der G41 gefällt mir die Anzahl der Triebe schon sehr gut, bei der PBB ist noch Luft nach oben. Ich befürchte allerdings, dass bei der PBB nicht mehr sonderlich viel passieren wird. Nächstes Update ist dann in Woche 7.
