5/29 plants are healthy. 6/2 they've definitely been stretching this week. Pistils have shown and the calyx of plant #2 are already showing definite purple. Its obvious even with how little of it showing. #2 was the first to show sex and progression of transitioning. Plant #1 has shown sex but only on half of her node? Plant #3 is still the tallest, with the most stretching happening. She's a lighter green than the rest and she hasn't quit shown a full pistil yet

The plants have limited space and are in 4 litre pots too keep them controlled. This week I defoliated again and started adding sugar royal.

Nutes at 1/2 strength..picked some supplements to aid in taste/flowering so excited to see how she finishes! 😋😋

All have taken well to nutrients, will probably keep at same ratio throughout flowering. Will also be using 1ml/l of b52 from flower week 3 and then ripen before flush. A few seem to be fattening up before the others but all are doing OK. Will update every 1-2days.

Finally chopped and drying! I cut water 5 days before chop and of those days the final 48hrs were darkness! I’m still amazed at the resistance this grow had with heat and low humidity!

Update: All 3 seeds broke ground on May 20. Ready to see these babies grow big and beautiful. Germ Day 1: Today I decided to plant 3 Fast Buds Afghan Kush Auto. I mixed the Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4 with a couple tbsp of mychorrizae and crushed egg shells into 5 gal of sunshine #4 which is predominantly a peat based media. I watered around the seed thoroughly. I am using the sponsored Vipar Spectra XS2000 and think it will be awesome for these auto flowers. It’s a super strong light with an awesome spectrum. I have it set at 30% at 34”. I’m excited to see how this combo works. I’ve seen great things from each part and looking forward to a great result together. Happy Growing 🌱

The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. Destiny has given me a wonderful climate so far but from the 18th the weather will change completely, precisely in the last 10 days of flowering which fortunately is very accelerated by the anomalous heat, especially at night. Typical late summer weather here, kinda for weed. First storm is expected on Saturday, I'm ready to protect them. I've made the last rearrangement of the tent, trying to give more room to the vigorous and overflowing Pineapple Kush so I've rised the roof to 110". The plants are all carefully sprayed with thyme extract to control mites infection, it seems to work, infection is stable from 1 week. I kill manually 20/30 bedbugs a day. During nighttime, maybe a monster grasshopper, is munching some leaves, at this point I don't care, I have to defoliate anyway and these bastards don't chew buds, for now. Perfect filling, very frosty, enormous main bus is forming and a dozen of big & fat lateral colas are ripening. Pine resin/wet earth scent. Expected harvest time September 4th week but she's ripening fastly so maybe she can gnaw her sister Gorilla a few days. 4 weeks into my first grow. What do you guys think?

Week one of Flower in the books that two days of darkness got the girls looking great going into flower. I can see them showing their sex and little buds are starting to form. The leaves have a very nice faint aroma if you touch them and smell you hands very nice smell. All 11 girls are super healthy. Running them on the Growlink has seemed to be pretty much worth the price tag it definitely helps with being able to take care the garden more efficiently with the girls being water automatically. I still do my check ups and maintenance to make sure everything is running smooth but my work flow is way smoother with an automated room. The Gorilla cookies FF and one of the orange sherbets are the taller ones of the plants on the table. The other two orange sherbets FF and all 3 of the wedding cheese cakes are short bushy plants. Wedding cheesecake FF has a unique look and growing shape very short and compact and full of leaves.
