Harvest time for my solo cups girls 😉

This week is going great. The ladies are growing great and looking nice and healthy. They are about to start flowering and I am excited!! Happy growing y’all!

Hi all I hope you had a wonderful Christmas 👍 So I got curious a few days ago and decided to have a fiddle with one of the buds from the Girl scout cookies plant. I let it dry in a paper bag first and then had a sqizz at it. After I tore it apart I was pleased to find a nice fat healthy seed (see 1st pic) well after that I thought to myself Bloody hell mate there must be a heap more of those fellas in there then, so with that in mind I harvested the whole plant. After that lot was dried I tore into it looking for more seeds (see video) but unfortunately I only ended up with the three viable seeds the others I found were either green or already damaged. Not to worry as atleast I have those three to attempt germination with which is better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick as my old man likes to say. Ive partaken in a few bonghits as I write this of the Girl scout cookies bud that I harvested and I can tell you its some nice shit man 😁 The Gelato Plant will be harvested tomorrow and Im hoping that may have some seed aswell. The whole purpose of this experiment was to cross the Barneys Farm Red Diesel Feminised Pollen I created with a good tasty strain in an attempt in creating seed. So as far as that part goes & even tho I only got the three seeds I feel it was mostly a Success. I will definatey need to refine both my Pollen collecting and Pollinating techniques to achieve better results. Thankyou to all who followed along I enjoyed doing this diary. Test FBA 2503 – 42Fast Buds 68 days from seed — and we’ve reached the final stage: harvest time! Although the plant didn’t grow very big, it truly impressed us — the buds are dense, large (as big as a fist!), and absolutely drenched in sticky resin. The pinkish hue of the buds gives this beauty an extra touch of elegance — she looks stunning! But the most striking thing is the smell. It’s incredibly strong, sharp, and long-lasting. Our girl has a seriously intense chemical scent — it fills the entire grow tent instantly and lingers for hours. Not for the faint of heart! From the beginning, we focused on giving her everything she needed: a well-balanced substrate, a stable environment, and, of course, proper nutrition. Huge thanks to Xpert Nutrients for their powerful line of fertilizers — they played a key role in helping this plant reach its full potential, delivering impressive trichome production, vibrant colors, and strong structure. June 29: watered with compost tea. Bacteria in these teas seem to help hold the water and I don’t need to water this too often or too much. Did a foliar spray of potassium silicate and soluble seaweed extract. Fast growth phase happening now. June 30: forecast for next week is hot and the week after is a bit hotter. Having made it through the cold spring, the plants should get a lot bigger over the next couple weeks. July 1: nice fast growth now 👍👍 July 4: did foliar spray of Extreme Blend in the morning. July 5: she’s doing great with strong vegetative growth. After the last round of topping the fan leaves got quite a bit bigger and the growth tips have been a bit slower to start growing than on my other photoperiod. Looking nice and green and growing fast. Waiting a few more days before starting another scrog layer. She has grown 7 inches this week. This week I started her LST and bent her top over as far as possible without snapping and locked her in place. I use soft wire "Gear Ties" sold in the hardware section of most places. I got mine at Home Depot. I highly recommend these for anyone serious about Lst. I kept her in this position for about 4 days before adjusting placement and pulling the main top back down below the lower branches. I have been maintaining the same feeding schedule "week 4 hydro" 3/4 str main nutrients, 1/2 str Open Seasame. She started showing preflowers on me even though it's been in an 18/6 light cycle. So that's why OS and week 4 feeding was opted. Even though the plant was technically 2 months old, she's only been fed and treated right for 2 weeks now. So week 7 from seed, I started at the week 3 schedule.

July 6: peak growing season now and I expect she’ll be growing about an inch per day here for the next couple of weeks. Weather should be perfect and just have to dodge the thunderstorms. Started another lazy compost tea. Cheers to all growers. 👍 July 7: mild defoliation done over this last week to let light in to the growth tips. Water only as a light flush. July 8: definitely fast growth and looking very dark green but hopefully not too much N. Watered in evening with lazy compost tea. This lazy compost tea is just a 5 gallon (20 L pail) with couple handfuls of mature compost, some molasses, some humic acids and kelp, Dr Bronners peppermint soap as a surfactant (or wetting agent) and vinegar to get pH near 7. Then it’s all left in the shade for about 24-48 hours with the occasional stir. Alternately you could just use Recharge which is made from bacteria, molasses and humic acids. Super easy either way. July 10: added a couple handfuls of malted barley as a top dressing. This is a top organic growing tip from Clackamas Coot. Just get some from a local brew shop which should have a variety of malted grains. Cheap stuff is fine. I’ll add some Power Bloom next week but I figured the barley is good enough for now. Now 25 inches so she grew 6 inches in 4 days. Good times. Good times.

day 27 flowering: The Blue gelato has some beautiful forming buds on her that remind me of ice cream oddly enough. She smells nicely if sweetness. sticky to touch and healthy as hell. I am a little dissapointed with her node spacing and hope her bud sizes can make up for it. she would have been better in scrog than quadlined i think but lessons learned. Do love her look though.

Alien Vs Triangle is growing strong and looking great! Started giving some Mammoth P this week, looking forward to seeing the results from Mammoth P!!! 👍

Week#5FLO, Aptus nutrients 💪🏻

Welcome to the jungle! The stretch is on! I’m not going to do a thing while they are in this mode but let them thrive. As soon as they are done I’ll go through and do some leaf stripping so everyone is getting light to their bus sites. I’m still heavy on the nitrogen feeding and starting to add more phosphorus. I’d like to see another 12” of stretch. I’ve been having an issue with the gfci breaker popping when the lights come on and can’t seem to figure that part out other than raising the plug amperage.

D43. The first day in the first week of flower, and everything is great in the tent. The girls both look healthy, vibrant, and strong. I transplanted the clones into small pots, and they are now waiting to go to new homes as I won't keep any of them due to lack of space. ------------------------------ D45. All is well in the tent, and the girls are already stretching after flipping. I moved the fans to get them out of the way. Space is always an issue. #JustSmallTentProblems I am still dialing in the drip system, so it's working correctly before I go on vacation. I also removed the mushroom growkit from the tent as no mushrooms have grown so far. I'll wet it again and see what happens. ------------------------------ D47. The girls are looking fantastic. They are vibrant and healthy, and pray hard with their leaves toward the light. They have already stretched a fair bit, and the branches are also fattening up. I did medium defoliation below the scrog by removing most leaves and branches that won't make it up to the light. I left a few shorter branches to see if they'll make it up into the light. Finally, I gave them a fulvic foliar spray just before lights out. As we're heading into flower, I suspect this was their last foliar feed. Though I might do one preventative IPM foliar spray. I haven't had any problems so far, but just in case. Easier to prevent a problem, than to solve the problem. ------------------------------ D49. The end of the first week of flower, and the girls are just rocking the tent. However, I need to address the RH, as it is a bit high for flower. Yesterday, the entire tent was without power for five hours, so there was no light or exhaust. Fortunately, one of the circulation fans has a built-in battery and at least kept moving the air around. ------------------------------

New beginning-in a suitcase :) this is my 4th growth in a suitcase :) Sweet Seeds - Cream Caramel auto:) I think it will be an interesting growth, I don't know yet if I will try to train it, or if I will have to freeze the top of the plant at the base:) I will decide everything as I go ;) , 1 day after germination it was transplanted into its final pot, because I wanted to plant it a little deeper, so that there would be more space in the future:) good luck to everyone.
