Just another growth week. Random topping, FIMMING, light stress training. I will not be changing reservoir, just adding water with calcium nitrate, jacks and magnesium sulphate with pH corrections.

All training removed and into the final push. Could really use some expert eyes on chopping time for max potency

Beginning of week.. I raised the lights a little.. They are at 50% power at 18" (roughly) from the plants. The ladies are getting from 420 to 500 PPFD. Went ahead and fed them some extra FloraMicro this week.. I'm guessing they are just very hungry girls.. And I'm thinking the pH in the rootzone issue is not clearing up at all.. BUT.. It seems like no matter what pH I water them with.. The runoff ALWAYS comes out at 5.8 or 5.9 with the Mandarin Cookies and 5.8 or 5.7 with the ETHOS Cookies.. So if you want to reuse your coco coir.. Make sure to remove ALL the roots. The girls dont look too bad at all.. And that's why I'm guessing they just needed more nutes in the mix.. We shall see how this week goes! Mid week.. They are looking alot better! Mandarin Cookies is exploding woth growth.. ETHOS Cookies is growing slow but she is growing for sure.. I think I may need to remove a node or 2 on the ETHOS Cookies.. I could just leave it.. But the very top 2 are covering alot of tops.. I could make some clones from it.. Hmm.. All-in-all.. I'm happy with how these girls are growing for now tho.. This rootzone issue isnt going away.. But I think I found a way to make it work out.. I've been watering a little differently.. Here is a bit of an example: Day 1: Feed at 6.5 Day 3: Water at 6.4 Day 5: Feed at 6.3 Day 7: Water at 6.2 Day 9: Feed at 6.5 Day 11: Water at 6.4 Day 13: Feed at 6.3 Day 15: Water at 6.2 Etc... The runoff is staying above 5.5 each time.. But as I lower the pH, the runoff pH lowers as well (obviously).. So I think watering this way has helped keep these gorgeous ladies happy.. And theyare also very hungry.. I may have to start watering one plant every other day.. Water plant 1 tomo.. Water plant 2 the next day.. Then plant 1 the next day and then plant 2 the next day etc... 1 reason I want to start doing it that way is because I think the ETHOS Cookies isn't needing as much nutes as the Mandarin Cookies.. But they are looking great. Very happy and so are they! The heat has been insane lately.. So at the hottest part of the day I try to just turn the light down to 25% for 4 hours or so.. I hate having to do that.. But it's all I can do for now.. Or maybe change the light/dark hours.. Blah.. Whatever, they are happy! End of week.. I supercropped 2 branches.. They pretty much healed up and are already back to normal.. Like it didnt bring them down any lower at all lol.. It straightened back up and its as if nothing happened.. Just a big ass (MOOSE) knuckle lol.. But I stopped using the Kushie Kush and was just using the normal Gen Hydro FloraBloom in the mix. Will be upping the FloraGro next week! Wow.. Such hungry ladies! It's been so long since I've grown a bigger photo period.. I forgot how much they can take!.. On to the next!...

It grows very well. The substrate was watered with top dressing next to the pellet.

Switched the 600 watt MH bulbs out and put the 1000 watt HPS in and Flipped to flowering on Saturday night. The girls seem happy with the additional light and nutrients. I waited till Tuesday night to do some defoliation. Still having issues with browning roots after completing water change.

Not a lot to update the seedlings have came up out the soil at this point they are still to small to tell any visible differences. I started all the seeds from all 10 packs and and I put 26 of them in soil I now have about 20 of them left I still have atleast one left if every strain. I just kept the 20 plants that all started off at the same time it’s so much easier when there is not some plants behind from the rip. In a few days I will pick out the best one from each of the 10 strains and toss the rest so sad there is a plant count here.

Girls are doing great! I forgot to take close up pics but they are starting to throw some pistols so flower in around the corner. All they got was rain water this week

7/27/2023- Prep Tent and system are cleaned and ready to go from my last grow. I have submitted my Journa for the Diary of the Month Competition here is to hopeing for good resutls. 7/28/2023- Germination Day 0- Seed initiation Well lets get this new Grow started.. So My Dad Sent me a custom Strain that he wanted me to grow out and Breed for him. The Strain is Called Red Rhino: Red Rhino is an amazing strain coming from Israel and boasts a 60% Sativa and a 40% Indica. This strian comes from crossing double gum and master kush. Effects are an increased appetite, as well as giving you ephoric feelings throughout the whole day. RO Water Used Added Hydrogen Peroxided 8/1/2023- Germination Achieved G-Day 1 Popped her head above the root riot today to say hello.. Woot first challenge when dealing with an unknown seed and a new Strain is getting the seed to pop and the lady to show life. 8/2/2023- Germination Day 2 Took the root riot out today and it was soaked not good plant drowing again. I am still having a hard time finding the right blance for where the water should be to keep the root riot moist and not soaked. I had to drain some of the water out of the root riot plug to help give a little oxygen. I also removed some of the water. 8/3/2023- Germination Day 3 Looking good stretching her leaves out to let in the lights 8/4/2023- Germination Day 4 Looking good a few days until I put them into the RDWC System and get this thing rocking and rolling. 8/5/2023- Germinaiton Day 5 Looking good will probably plant tomorrow if the roots are still looking good. 8/6/2023- Plant Day- Germination Day 6 Planted into the RDWC System today. Joy when they go into the system as long as we dial that in right this will now be a great grow.. Survived the hard part.. 8/7/2023- Germination Day 7 Fell over today I am worried.., she is showing some damage on the lower leaves from the over watering in the cloning machine but right now I don't see any new damage. Supported the Stems with little improvised pole to help her stand up. 8/8/2023- Germination Day 8 Added the first Nutes today, to help support root growth and to help give there first jump to growth. Officially week 7 Dec 31: Came back a week later to very heavy pots, needed 36 hour drying period, not happy, smaller plant has tips of leaves curling down, some like taco, dryed out the pots and went back to normal conservative feeding, need to fine tune the auto irrigation setup before I use it again for sure. All in all, nothing crazy happened. Really cool to see a plant be small, but way bigger after a week of vacation. First grow seems to be going pretty good! PS: I think my hygrometer is broken, saying 85-100% RA even when I significantly improve airflow and it doesn't seem anywhere near that. Gonna do the salt paste test on the hygrometer . Jan 1: I recalibrated my hygrometer and it’s working great, weird leaf curling of smaller plant still happening but seems to be improving, big plant is frosty and fat for week 7, seems to be at same stage in development as smaller plant but the pheno is beautiful.

Finally got the girls into their nets and in their final positions. I now have two rows 5‘ x 11‘ gave each plant half cup of craft blend and did a 1 inch layer of build a flower, then covered with chopped up leaves and straw, then watered in with recharge And I gave them a small lolly pop and thind out some of the smaller branches. I’m thinking they will go into flower in about two weeks. Here are some before and after shots.

This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.
