I still found a few places with bud rot and I keep removing every spot I see. The plants have been doing fine beside that, they are looking and smelling great, they are super dense and I can't wait for them to be ready. Most trichomes are still clear so I am awaiting for the first ambers to show up, aiming for around 5% amber and 95% milky.

BDM close as hell to harvest. Leaves are turning yellow all over the place, hairs are nice and orange, the trichs are milky white, but no amber at all yet. Gave her Recharge only this week in anticipation of flushing soon. 😉

I was told these seeds are feminized. Also the strain is unknown.

Just starting the 3rd week, I’m at 1/2 strength on the nutrients, will be changing water and nutrients every Saturday. Looking good. Roots coming thru. So far so good coming into second weekend of clean water and more food on Saturday. Really starting to get full. 8/18 Fresh water and nutrients today and both topped. Finishing out the 3rd week all topped and ready to bush out.

📆 Week 12, 7-12 July 2024 Harvest 8 July - Turned light power down to 25%. Changed nutrient solution to RO water to begin flush. 11 July - Harvest 12 July - Begin curing time. 📑 Harvest time! She is ripe, danky, sticky, full of resin, solid, and I am pleasently suprised at the yield. This is not your ordinary Auto Afghan variety. She produces heavy buds and a lot of them. This is also the first auto I have grown using DWC in 12 weeks without manipulation - 18 hours straight from start to finish. I pushed her to the limit. Now she will hang in the closet at 50-55% RH and 70 degrees F, for about 7-10 days curing. Then she will trimmed and put into one quart glass mason jars, with 62% Boveda TurpShield and burped until 62% RH is maintained. The full potency potential and terp profile will be reached in about 30-45 days. 📆 19 July 2024 The Smoq Report: After 7 days of hanging, she was ready to cut. I trim and shape each individual bud, removing unwanted leaf and stem. It’s a process but worth it if you smoke bud. Her potency is evident. It will take the experienced smoker to a satisfying high and keep you there for a good hour or more before you want another hit. The smell and taste is of a typical Afghan. I was expecting a heavier yield, but in the end I guess we all hope for a little more! Welcome to week six! 🌱 Week five was a complete success – all parameters are perfectly aligned. I’ve increased the water conductivity to a solid 3000 and bumped the CO2 level up to 1200 🌿. Light intensity is now set at 1400 µmol in the center and 1000 at the edges, which will keep the plants strong in their generative state 🌞. I’ll maintain these levels until the end of the third week and then start slowly removing the large fan leaves to ensure the buds get plenty of light 💡✨. I’m also trying something new to activate the “Emerson effect” 🌄: I’m running the deep red lights for 5 minutes before sunset and for another 5 minutes after the day ends. This should give the plants a final boost in photosynthesis, helping to maximize their growth potential! Everything’s looking fantastic so far! The Black Cherry has rooted well across different experimental setups, and at the end of the grow, I’ll provide a full report on the best care techniques for both strains 🌺👌. Die Black Cherry ist in verschiedenen Versuchsreihen gut angewachsen, und am Ende des Grows werde ich einen ausführlichen Bericht darüber abgeben, wie sich die beiden Sorten am besten pflegen lassen 🌺👌.

Finishing up week 4 and damn what a week. Noticed thousands of soil mites swarm up to the top of the soil after watering and scared the shit out of me. Small little fuckers, I thought they were little bits of soil floating around at first until I took a closer look. I’m assuming they’re the beneficial kind as there is nothing wrong with the plants...leaves aren’t sick looking or droopy. Fun fact - according to Google there are >40000 types of mites. Whatever, I don’t want any more so I hit them with CannControl and Lost Coast soil drenches in between feeds and fucken hell most of them are gone now. Maybe it’s the population correcting itself or maybe I’m just lucky, either way I’m happy they’re almost all gone. I was considering using a blowtorch and burning the little fuckers but not anymore. IPM for the win! Now back to business as usual...next run I’ll be adding some diatomaceous earth into the soil mix. Thanks for stopping by 🌱I

Hello This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. Still 5 more weeks to go... Hoping to harvest around the 2nd week of Aug. Plant #3 is showing a lot of resin already. See the pics... The white around the edges of the leaves is the give away. Found a few ladybugs this week and brought them inside here, to help. Was hot at the beginning of this week. The gals are still loving the fc4800 and their new 8x8 mars hydro grow tent as much as I do👍 leaves are sticking straight up towards the light. Love how easy the zippers are to open and close. Nice and strong and guaranteed to last. It has extra material on the backside of the zipper that helps for light leaksand enough ports and vents for anything you need in it👍. the tsw2000 is still going strong and is also a very good light. Its been going almost nonstop for 6 months and still working the same as when I got it👍. not much heat off both lights but the fc4800 is alot cooler and the heat-sinks work extremely well. I have it daisy chained to the tsw2000 and 1 dimmer controls the other and i don't need to be reaching in too far to dim the other light, it's awesome and I can't wait to buy more lights to daisy 4 together👍. I would recommend this light to everyone that grows with leds and have trouble with temperatures getting too high. Even if you grow with HPS lights I think any mars hydro light is a MUST TRY.
