WEEK 6 - Day 46 - 05/16/20 Rickety Cricket is finally starting to get that scarred/cut up/garbage look just like the IASIP Character it's named after 😂 Seems like the pre-flower stretch has started so it has another week or so to really set it's veg base. Keeping up with the LST and clipping any little leaves that are bunching/blocking since it's a small little cluster-eff of growth. This "concept garbage homeless Rickety Cricket" grow in a coffee can is going perfectly for all the wrong reasons 😂 Great little project as I finish off my 3 Sour Diesels (Mac, Charlie, and Frank 💪 <-- it's a bicep, not a dick.) Giving Cricket the leftovers of big feeds for my main plant, chased with water (Should be lucky i'm not giving it lemons..) Should turn into a hilarious chunky small fat bud situation once the flowers start coming in. Growing Good

Just got back from vacation, and I'm very pleased to see that the plants are doing well! Was gone Saturday to Thursday, and had a friend check on them once to adjust the pH but other than that they've been on autopilot. The Autopots are amazing for this - I got 2 kits with 2 pots each (instead of 1 kit with 4 pots) which gave me an extra reservoir in anticipation of this vacation. I connected the tubes from both of them with tees, and it worked exactly as I hoped. There's still a few days left of water in the reservoirs, so I think I could theoretically go a full week if needed (though the pH does drift a bit). Switched my feeding approach from guess-and-check EC measurements to doing mass/gallon which has made mixing nutrients a lot more consistent. The current feed contains 5.5g/gal of Megacrop, 1.5g/gal of calmag, and 1g/gal of bud explosion (PK). This works out to be an EC of ~3.1 including my tap water. They've been at this strength for a few weeks and are due for a little bit more, but I didn't want to mess with nutrients before leaving since I'll want to monitor them. The smell is getting pretty strong, with a very sweet scent (almost like berries) when I open the tent. The buds are starting to get some weight as well. Interestingly the two plants that veg'd a little bit slower seem to be budding the strongest. The plant that had explosive growth during veg has a ton of tops, but the buds are smaller. But overall they're all looking pretty good. No signs of issues as far as I can tell, tons of trichomes on the buds and sugar leaves. Expecting ~10 weeks of flower, so they're about half way done. Hopefully they'll keep packing on some weight!

10 days into flower with the first taste of bloom! Happy with how things are going.. don’t know why my videos won’t play

Another weeks past just cruise control till harvest she look to be going around 85 to 100 days from the looks but time will tell clean up the bottom should probably do a bit more cause it's a weak light. Buds have started to harden and fatten up but I can't complain for a little knock off 100 watt light a fan and a closet. This shows you can get some decent smoke with very little they are starting to have a heavy og lemon smell.

Doing great. Bottoms cleaned, waiting for a day or two to do a major defoliation. 17.11 Vast defoliation. All the bottom leaves and mids. Left around 4 top fan leaves On every branch. 19.11 Plants recovered perfectly, light is back to 100% . Unfortunately my Bluetooth app for mars hydro stopped working. Light cannot pair anymore with the app. Also irrigation is changed to vegetative crop steering.

Day 9 above soil: The Dreamgirls have been slow and steady this week but at least steady.lol They are the smallest of the strains in general size and there is a noticeable difference. They are not concerning me at all just a lot smaller at this stage. All the factors are identical within the crop so I am sure they will take off soon enough. They had a small feed today too so hopefully will start fattening out

- Humidity was low beginning of the week and the temperature was quite high. But, I still managed to hit the ideal values. Towards the end of the week, the average humidity in my city was at the high 70s which reflected into the tent. - VPD fluctuated this week between 1,0 and 1.65 kPa, averaging at 1,42 kPa. - Tent temperature fluctuated around 24 at night and 28 Celsius at day time, averaging at 25.5. - Humidity did not fluctuate as it used to beginning of the week but it spiked crazy towards the end, averaging at 56.4 which is much better than the last week. - I am now giving standard 6.4 Ph Water. - Frosting slowed down but the flowers are getting bigger. - Stickiness and smell keep getting stronger.

Wow!! It was sunny and hot all week! You can see that they almost doubled their size and are looking pretty much more healthy. That is also because I followed @MadeInGermany 's advice and decided to wait more until I had to water. They seem to have liked that, beacuse there is no more sign of Ca blocking in the leaves. And they grew very nicely, no need of everything. Also following his advice I will use Cal/Mag in the next watering. But, you know, I'm making it cheap... so I will use another home-made recipe: wood ash fertilizer, which include those nutrients and some that are needed in flowering stage -which seems to be starting, so next week will have the flowering label-. It also degrades the N in the soil that could be still causing a little overfeeding (leaves' tips are a bit burnt). However, I admit that my mistake was overwatering from the beggining. Lesson learned! No watering for the whole week and the plnat didn't seem to worry about it. Man! If only it had been this sunny all the time! Plants look very healthier and are way bigger, with huge new leaves. A little amount of pistils showed up in the last days, so I guess it is the moment for stretching. Knowing that, I decided to do a little training on Sweet, as it is the one a bit behind. You can see in the last picture how I took a couple leaves that were blocking light from side branches-future bud sites- and taped them, so they didn't. If results are good I might do the same with Rebel, but I have a feeling that she'll do good without it. Sadly, next week will be all rainy and cloudy... Nothing to do tho. New breeder and strains For me

Great week 5, growth this week was great. Stalks are thick, and did some tie downs to spread out growth. Biggest surprise was today day 35, saw what appears to be pistils on one plant! Very surprised, as this is 10 days earlier than Ive seen in the past. Its late, so i will dig deeper and check every plant tmrw when I feed.

Week 5 day 2 from germination And i gave them a first little defoliation yesterday, they have seemed to like it 🤩💚 Week 5 day 3 from germination And all going as normal, I raised my EC up to 0.6, they seems to like it 💚 day 40 from seed And i took some more leafs off, CS2 is now the queen from the Chocolate department and TP2 on the Tropicana department. They all look super happy, i think a couple of days more and i will change them to a bigger pot.
