August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.

Seeing as this is my first grow, I’m still learning to read the plant and know what’s going on. Think I’ve developed some fairly advanced leaf septoria. Might not be bad enough to affect the end result, but I’m pretty clueless, so I put up a question about it. Hoping to hear back from more experienced growers about what I’m looking at. Going on week 7 of flower, week 6 if we’re going off of the first pistils, when the breeder recommends 8-9. So I know I’m coming up to the end of things. Cutting back on nutes due to some burnt tips. Not any substantial amount, but put EC on the lower side of the range that GH recommends for its stage in life. Buds smell amazing and seem to be developing great IMO. Had to tie a few down to bring the canopy all to one level again. Didn’t think that sticking my arm down the leaves for 2 seconds worth of tie wrapping would make my arm hair all super sticky for hours. Lol. Every experience is a good learning experience for my first grow.

9/4/24 shes got some sort of pests. believe its multiples but only small amounts that ive been able to keep back with different sprays but coming next week or so, i wont be able to. or at the very least, i prefer not spraying anything at all. i used my macro lens on my phone and was able to pick up some nice trichome shots. Goofiez has thick headed trichs that stand up quite well. Probably a good yielding hash strain. 9/9 shes still stretching. up to 32 inch

So I changed lights this week to 600 w hid Hood is air cooled so we’ll see how this finishes! Everything is going great, buds getting bigger every day.

I applied the LST and topping technique for taller plants and FIM technique for shorter plants. 9/26 This fucking sucks. Site won't let me upload pictures. Flood warning in effect. I believe this is the fifth day of rain. Not trickles. Sheet rain and high winds. My dream catchers have been taking this like a champ. Ice cream cake was totally sideways for awhile despite vertical trellis. I came down this morning to branches bent at 90° angles. I could've taken them but if I make it through this rain today it's supposed to stop tonight. Then I'll have a week of good weather. Buds are exploding. Even the ice cream cake. That will need more time but I'm getting close with the others. They are never out of sight. I'm surprised they've held up so well so far. I made my decision it would be stupid to alter it now, seeing how the storm is ending. I was going to spray k bicarb but I'll wait until after this rain.UPDATE: Went back over and the garden was flooded. I needed to put one grow bag on top of another as one plant was in six inches of water. I drained it and added supports and pulled off any dead leaves. I tried taking a video but it was raining so hard it stopped after 7 secs. Luckily my dreamcatchers are strong AF. Took to little ones and put them under the barn under a light. It's FINALLY stopped raining. After I smoke I gotta go back over and shake buds again and check for rot. Luckily nothing was broken but it was hanging right down. Fucking sucks. Spent like two hours in sheet rain. UPDATE: Stopped raining. I went over and continued to defoliate and cut little bits of rot from the interior. Sprayed a gallon of potassium bicarbonate and dawn on ever spot of rot I could find. I've been to the patch multiple times today. Found a few earwigs. I think I've found my problem. Late stage leaf septoria with earwigs eating the rotting plant matter. Fucking sucks but at least I have an idea. Can't upload pics and phone wouldn't even work in the rain. One 7 second video. 9/27 The extra work I've been putting in has certainly helped. I got in touch with a company who will do any type of extraction I want for $200 a lb. Fucking awesome. My cousin got 250 grams love rosin last year with this same company. I am sore. I checked trichs but I'm not seeing much Amber yet. Buds are gaining density fast. At least now that I have an idea what my problem is I can address it. Plants showed signs of pm after drying out. I did a k bicarb spray and this morning there isn't a spot. I need to take care of what's hanging so that's the plan today. 9/28 I think I made the right decision.my plants are looking good. Not where I want them but it's getting close. I checked the trichs this morning. Under 24 hour surveillance till harvest. Well it has been but now I stay up every nigh watching the cctv. Went down in the middle of the night to check for nocturnal bugs. Didn't find any. I've been defoliating the yellow septoria leaves. I went through every plant and cut out any rot and removed andy sugar leaves that started to turn brown. This and the k bicarb seem to help. I think that Leaf septoria has dwarfed the growth of the smaller dream catcher. Buds don't seem to be growing much more. Even my ICC has buds almost the size of the little one. The other dreamcatcher will probably be an elbow plant. The ice cream cake has beefed up incredibly and is covered in trich's. I'm super excited but I'm cautious at the same time. I hate that fucking dog but it's an added layer of security. Soon I'll do the harvest report for DJ short blueberry. 9/29 Trich's are changing fast. Haven't been watering lately do to all the rain. Plants are real real close. Up all night watching. Dog flipped out at 4am but no one was there. I want to wait until I have a little more Amber but I'm super excited. I may end up taking some tops. May end up doing a k bicarb spray today. Haven't decided yet. I'll update as I go. I've been making head way trimming the blueberry. 9/30. Things are looking beautiful. The smell at the garden is amazing. Lots of hard work left. Plants do have septoria and slight pm so I may do a bud wash. I cut a branch from each plant. I think I'm at the point of diminishing returns. Every wet night mold and critters take more and the chances of some idiot coming to try and take my shit increases. I may end up harvesting a little earlier. I'd lie to wait but the trichs look pretty good to me. Still doing all the maintenance required. I am extremely proud of this grow. I fought everything this year. Started with mites and thrips. Powder mildew came with them too. Now I've faced every pest or disease this year. At least it seems that way. Trotz der Herausforderungen, die wir im Laufe dieses Grows hatten, sind die Ergebnisse mehr als ermutigend. * Wuchsform: Die Pflanze hat sich sehr buschig und kompakt entwickelt, mit einer Vielzahl von gut ausgebildeten Seitentrieben, die alle dicht mit Blüten besetzt sind. Dies deutet auf eine exzellente Lichtausnutzung und eine gelungene Verzweigung hin, wahrscheinlich durch gezieltes Training in der Vegetationsphase. * Blütenqualität: Die Buds sind auffallend dicht und zeigen eine beeindruckende Harzproduktion. Die Trichome sind bereits deutlich sichtbar und glänzen, was auf eine hohe Potenz und Aromaentwicklung hindeutet. Die Stigmen (Blütenhärchen) sind größtenteils bernsteinfarben verfärbt, was auf eine fortgeschrittene Reifephase hinweist und die bevorstehende Ernte ankündigt. * Blattgesundheit: Die Blätter sind weiterhin größtenteils grün und vital. Einige der größeren Fächerblätter im unteren Bereich zeigen die für die späte Blütephase typischen Vergilbungen, da die Pflanze ihre letzten Energiereserven in die Blütenbildung umlagert. Dies ist ein natürlicher Prozess und kein Anzeichen für akute Mängel in diesem Stadium. Herausforderungen und Erkenntnisse aus diesem Grow: Wir hatten im Laufe dieses Durchgangs mit einer Volatilität des pH-Wertes zu kämpfen, die zeitweise nur schwer zu stabilisieren war. Dies führte zu der Notwendigkeit, den pH-Wert der Nährlösung häufiger anzupassen. Nach genauerer Beobachtung wurde die Hauptursache für diese pH-Schwankungen identifiziert: Algenbildung auf der Oberfläche der Steinwolle. Diese Algen konkurrierten nicht nur um Nährstoffe, sondern trugen auch maßgeblich zu den instabilen pH-Werten bei. Learnings für den nächsten Grow: Um die Algenbildung und damit die pH-Problematik zukünftig zu vermeiden, sind folgende Maßnahmen geplant: * Reduzierung der Steinwollwürfel-Größe: Es werden kleinere Steinwollwürfel für die Keimung und Startphase verwendet. * Einsatz von mehr Tonkugeln (Leca): Die Steinwollwürfel werden im nächsten Grow deutlich besser mit Tonkugeln abgedeckt, um die Oberfläche vollständig vor Licht zu schützen. Dies wird die Algenbildung effektiv unterbinden und somit zu einem stabileren pH-Wert beitragen. Ausblick: Trotz der aufgetretenen Schwierigkeiten bin ich mit dem aktuellen Zustand der Pflanze äußerst zufrieden. Sie ist ein starkes Beispiel dafür, wie widerstandsfähig diese Pflanzen sein können, wenn die Grundversorgung stimmt und auf Probleme reagiert wird. Ich freue mich auf die bevorstehende Ernte und bin gespannt auf die Qualität des Endprodukts.

Wow, another week done. It's become an absolute jungle in my greenhouse. A few of the GG4/Sherbets tops had to be mainlined since they're hitting the top of the greenhouse at 7ft8in tall. The smell is definitely getting stronger every day and it goes from super pungent, to sweet, to almost tropical. They're all still looking nice and healthy. The Athena Blended Line works wonders with my well water as the plants couldn't be happier. All in all Happy Growing.

A lot of TLC this week and she has bounced back! 😁Really had to dial in and give her the best environment possible. Flowers started to pop up below the canopy so I’m guessing all the defoliation was successful and she is coming back stronger than ever. Will watch for fox tailing as buds form to see if she is reacting from severe light stress early flowering days. Notes from the week: 9/15: Cut burnt tops off her today. Trimmed a lot of the burnt leaves. 9/19: She has recovered nicely from the light stress/burn. Flower stage does not seem to be affected to much. I have noticed some purple calxys and upper leaves near some tops seem to be fading and showing some purple as well. 😈

In next 3 or 4 days I will cut her 😇 Cinderella and Bruce Banner drinking less from a avg. 1.7l/day to 1.25l/day, so end of flowering for this two will be in around 2 weeks. Cinderella looks really good, she should give a good harvest. Update: Day 67 Happy time !! Harvest time !! Finally Purple Lemonade get to the final point.
