Update of harvest

Day 7-9: Had a good environment overall, although the light was probably much too high. I didn't realise until quite late that it should have been 60cm above the seedling, and I had it around 120cm at first, and then 80cm. As a result the stem is a bit stringy. Day 9: I lowered the light to 60cm above the plant, and it won't go any lower. the recommended for this light is 30cm above the canopy, according to this very useful article: https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-far-grow-lights, but it's still in seedling stage and I'm guessing the plant will grow up a bit more, and I can always lower a little bit more. Also it's pretty damn hot, so I don't want to overdo it on the lights. I've been keeping the water consistent and just topped up a little on recommended nutrients (more grow, a little micro, adding a little bloom as it comes closer to flowering). The reason for this is because I want to maintain the consistency of environment and monitor the plant for any signs of unwellness. Because Sativas are sensitive to nutrient burn, I'm being conservative in this respect. The temperature with the light lowered is a steady 26 C, and I'm maintaining the humidity at around 70%. This is pretty good for this strain, as a sativa it likes higher temps and humidity. The water pH is around 5.9, also desirable. I've also been wondering if the plant is getting enough CO2. Is it necessary to buy a measurement device and some CO2 bags? Overall the plant seems very happy and is looking healthy. Day 10: cleaned the inside, added more grow, added more clay pellets since she looks a bit thin and stalky and needs extra support, and there were not many pellets present. Light distance is currently around 60cm. Though it won't go any lower with the straps, I will look at lowering it more with some extra rope as the ideal height will eventually be 30cm for this 250W HPS light. Added more Ph buffer yesterday evening and we're currently sitting around 5.7 ph. I was aiming for 5.8 but this is still acceptable. Temperature is around 25 - 26 C, humidity is around 70%, though I will begin lowering this as she grows. I will probably replace the water sometime this week. Upon further investigation I realised that my water levels were too high, and were possibly suffocating the stem. I reduced water levels by a few cm since I had previously been topping up without realising possible damage. I feel like today is the day that this seedling is finally becoming a plant. She has grown some long roots already. Day 11: I further lowered the light to around 40cm using some extra string. It's not super ideal, but for now it's ok. The plant was falling over it's own weight so I added some extra pellets around it for support and it seems to work. I'm hoping she won't stretch as much now that the light is lowered. The inside fan is still on and on full power to build up extra stem strength and keep temperature down. I'm attempting to keep humidity around 60%, a little lower than before. The temperature is significantly higher with the light lowered, easily maintained by periodically opening the door and leaving in cool air from outside which runs just past the intake fan. I'm slightly concerned about the Monstera Deliciosa plant which is sitting just opposite and above the intake fan. Would this have any effects, positive or negative, on the grow? Google is coming back blank on this.

Well pretty good week I would say, the only issue is we dint really see the total amount of our stuff but it was still great.

She's doing very well so far,smells super nice,definitely I'll grow more autos by gea seeds,I had the pleasure to grow autos by this awesome seedbank and can't wait to grow more of them,never let me down,let's see how she ends up.💚💛❤️🌱

Both seeds broke grown on Jan. 11, 2020. I’m really impressed on how fast they are growing in a matter of 12 hrs. Most of the photos are taken earlier in the morning.

These came down 11 weeks to the day from seed , this is them on their last day here. Wet weight is 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 was not expecting so much, it will last me HOURS ! these got wet trimmed now they're on the mat drying , the smell is typical american sweet candy ... was it fun? yes , yes it was fun ! what a plant this one is, my tallest one at 100cm, averaging 85cm , wet weight is.... gonna wait for dry weight, before i jinx it could be dense could be loose ! looks dense + not expecting to loose more than 50% it's all in the cure now ! 🚀

Friday the 19th of May Day 23 of 12/12 recently started with the new nutrients mills part A and mills part B ppm 870 all in full flower now still not impressed with the front left plant but what can you do il be happy with a small yield from that one hopefully the quality is as good as my last grow 🍁😎 also need to upgrade my light been using cheap lights for awhile now and the grow is better each time so I’d like to see what I can do with a well known light from a good company

WEEK 13 - (05/23/2021 - 05/29/2021) Week 5, Day 32 - FLOWER: 05/26/2021 Tap water: 229ppm, 9.2 pH, 70.5℉ + FF Big Bloom: 60ml/6 gallons + FF Tiger Bloom: 45ml/6 gallons + Fish Shit: 12ml/6 gallons + Cal-Mag: 15ml/6 gallons + HydroGuard: 6ml/6 gallons + pH Down (7.5 pH before added): 20ml Mixture: 779ppm, 5.9 pH, 70.4℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 1249ppm/461ppm, 6.3 pH AP#1 - 1330ppm/551ppm, 6.6 pH AP#2 - 1420ppm/641ppm, 6.6 pH GC#1 - 1610ppm/831ppm, 6.3 pH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 5, Day 35 - FLOWER: 05/29/2021 I’m pretty sure I used a little too much of the Tiger Bloom in my last 2 feedings. I used ¾ strength on that particular nutrient and it seems to have caused some nutrient burn. The leaf symptoms are matching with that of an excess in either Potassium or Phosphorus as well (on the Jelly Bananen). The Glookies seems to be suffering the most, also, showing signs of what appears to be a mildly serious calcium deficiency. However, I’m unsure due to the overfeeding. Next time I feed these girls I’m going back to ½ strength on the Tiger Bloom. Lesson learned. Tap water: 226ppm, 9.1 pH, 71℉ + HydroGuard: 8ml/8 gallons + pH Down: 27ml Mixture: 270ppm, 6.3 pH ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 1350ppm/1080ppm, 6.5 pH AP#1 - 1180ppm/910ppm, 6.7 pH AP#2 - 1450ppm/1180ppm, 6.8 pH GC#1 - 1680ppm/1410ppm, 6.3 pH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [SUMMARY] Well, I learned a valuable lesson this week: DO NOT use Fox Farm nutrients at anymore than half the recommended strength from the feeding chart. Despite the error in my ways, the plants are all looking pretty good still. The 2 plants that seem to be most affected by the overfeeding is the Glookies #1 & Jelly Bananen #1. The Glookies have had issues here and there throughout the grow, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that it is responding how it is. Both of the American Pie phenotypes seem to be the most resilient of the group. Aside from the late start on AP#1's bud development, these two phenos hardly seem phased by the increase in Tiger Bloom. Regardless, I am still going to go back to ½ strength. I can hardly believe 2021 is almost halfway over. Federal Legalization of Cannabis in the United States is looking like a very real possibility this year. The mask mandate has been lifted. Halo Infinite is coming out in November. My first grow is almost at it's end. 2021 is looking to be incredible. It's all a mindset. See you all next week! Grow Diary – Sweet Skunk Automatic (RQS) Day 35 – Flowering Has Begun Today is Day 35, and the Sweet Skunk Automatic is officially entering the early flowering stage. The first white pistils are now clearly visible at several nodes, confirming that the plant has shifted from vegetative growth into bloom. Internodal stretching has increased slightly, especially around the central stalk, but the plant still maintains a compact and healthy form. Leaf color remains a vibrant green with no signs of deficiency or stress, and side branches are beginning to gain strength. The earlier cool and cloudy days seem far behind now, with recent weather providing the ideal environment for a smooth transition into flowering. Weather & Outlook • Daytime temps: 23–27°C • Nights: Mild, around 12–15°C • Mostly sunny skies forecasted for the coming week With more sun and warmth on the horizon, we expect to see rapid flower development over the next 7–10 days. Everything is progressing right on schedule. From now on, all eyes are on flower formation and nutrient balance. Let the bloom begin!

Running into some deficiencies, don’t think it’s any pests but if you have any recommendations what it is plz let me know. Already fed a compost tea looks like it fixed the problem. Could be PH haven’t tested the soil yet.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. Autos are just starting to flower the photos are dying for some bigger pots. I've been trying to bring up the overall plant health in general since moving everything to a basement the temps are a little lower than ideal. I had a space heater delivered today and monitored the temps but they only went up to around 78°f I want it to be atleast 82°f ideally 85. The heater uses 1500 watt and only increased it about 2 or 3°. I dont think it's worth the extra cost for such little boost. I'm thinking about returning the heater and throwing a 1000w hps in one of the other tents and see if that will raise it anymore. Especially with LED and co2 higher temps would be very beneficial in veg and early flower but the room is so big its gunna be tough to pull off without killing me on electric costs. Any suggestions are welcome. I know this room does decent in flower but I havnt done much veg work down here and I'll have some autos growing this round so it's important I get it up.

Harvested #2, 40/60 amber to cloudy trichome ratio, couldn't weigh wet 25/10/24 - Harvested #1, 50/50 amber to cloudy trichome ratio Haven't weighed #2 final dry weight yet, still in the process of trimming #2 final dry weight: 273.9g, just under 10 ounces. 02/11/24 - #1 is dry, haven't had time to trim, in jars until I have time. Estimate #1 will yield more then #2 #1 final dry weight: 351.8g, 12.5 ounces 625.7g total off both plants #2 has better bag appeal, smell is very floral and piney. #1 is not as nice looking in appearance but takes the win for smell, has a strong skunk smell, get a whiff of cat piss whenever the jars are opened as well. Was very prevalent in the final week of flower, kept thinking the cats had got into the room and peed somewhere. Overall happy with the results.
