Planted on Aug 23rd and sprouted on the 25th.
This is a Premium Cultivars sponsored grow and we present to you SLEEPY JOE.
Sleepy Joe boasts a 34% THC level, one of the highest I have ever heard. It will be nice to see how these girls do. Chose to do 2 of these and 1 Cheese and 1 AK2.0 for this round.
Girls all popped up quickly, I wasn't prepared and the light was close heating the substrate for germination. They should all be fine.
The babies were all fed 400 ppm 0.8 ec on their first day of life. 200 ppm 0.2 ec of floranova grow and 200 ppm 0.2 ec of floranova bloom
Aug31st the babies got a feed at 450 ppm 0.9 ec of floranova grow.
This is a Premium Cultivars grow. Running their Sleepy Joe strain for this diary. Let's see how they do.
Girls are on their way. Increased their feed to 450 ppm 0.9 ec, of Floranova grow, ph'ed at 5.5
Last feed was at 450 ppm 0.9 ec of Floraniva grow. Will be increasing to 500 ppm 1.0 ec their next feed this week.
The 630 watt CMD light has been dimmed to 480 watts and 24" above the canopy.
Sleepy Joe. Well, a little slower growing, but their still doing good.
I expected this strain to be a little slower growing at first, but I think they will grow just fine. These have been smaller right from the sprouts. With a thc level of 34%, I can be patient with these ladies.
Waiting for Sleepy Joe to wake up and get growin. Very slow to the start, hoping it is normal and when they awake, they start growing much faster. Wondering if that is why their called sleepy joe. Well for 34% thc levels, I can be patient.
Thanks to Premium cultivars for the chance to grow these out.
A little late on the update. Went down to visit my dear old dad for a couple days.
Ladies have started to flower.
Feeding massive bloom Formulation at 300 rpm cycle blooms and bloom b at 300 ppm and 200 ppm of floranova grow for a total of 800 ppm
Sleepy Joe's are wide awake and throwing some nice flowers. Stacking up nice and starting to show some trichomes now. Odours in the room are very pleasant. Hoping these ladies hit their high tech levels. 34% is nothing to sneeze at.
Sleepy Joe is doing ok. A little slower in throwing flowers, but this strain has been slower than the rest from the get go. Flowers look very tight and compact so far. Think even smaller flowers will be quite heavy. No issues to me mentioned. Everything is doing fine. Checked the runoff waters and the ppm going in was 800, 1.6 sec and the ph was 5.8 using Cyco nutrients, and it says to keep ph from 5.5 to 5.8 through bloom.
So the runoff water was at 900 ppm and pump ph is sitting at 6.0.
The Sleepy Joe is doing nice. Slower budding and not as huge of bud as the rest., but let me tell you. These little nuggets are so dense that you can't squeeze the flower. Their like little rocks on the plant. When I swing the top branch, she has the weight of big flowers., she sways when the fan hits her. Dark leaves but no nitrogen toxicity, I think it may be normal for this strain. Not as big of plants as the other strains so would be great for small spaces. Not much of an odor that I can smell either, so another bonus for a stealth grow.
A few more weeks to go.
Thanks for the looks and likes my growpro's
Another week in, and these Premium Cultivars Sleepy Joe is wide awake. Featuring rock hard beautifully scented flowers that are covered with sugar. Into the 7th week and the pistols should start to orange now. With this the calyxes will also start to swell. Exciting times ahead. Been a while since I had some indoor smoke.
Sleepy Joe is in her final week. Been an enjoyable grow. Not the biggest flowering plant. Took awhile to get going, but she created some nice hard little bugs. These little bugs are so heavy, branches are bending like the larger ladies. Will be easy trimming. Looking forward to trying this stuff out.
Nov.25th harvest
905 grams wet. Only trimmed the big fan leaves and left the flowers on the branches to dry in the drying rack. So, the wet weight is heavier than it should be.
Not much to trim on these ladies., just nice hard flowers with a sugar leaf here and there.
The smell is very pungent during and after harvesting. Your not going to hide the smell, unless you keep in the vented room.
Thanks to Premium Cultivars for some fine Sleepy Joe's. Not as entertaining as the other Sleepy Joe (Brandon) to watch grow, but smoking her sure will be.
