Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Warning to anyone that growing this strain. It is a huge plant be careful not to let it get to big before flipping to flower. Also this plant is a beast at stacking. Do not lollipop this strain let it grow and then around day 18 or so of flower anylize the plant and lollipop only the lowers that branch out. There will not be that many the plant is almost full stack Week three of flower is off to an amazing start! At day 22, the ladies are looking incredibly healthy. They're praying like crazy, reaching for the light, and stacking nodes like it's their job. The buds are starting to plump up, and the trichome production is getting intense. I'm so excited to see how they develop over the next few weeks!

I had the same problem with the nutrients you can very see this problem on the gorilla and specially the killer Kush ones with just one of the little apricot but the 2 big plants have nothing, I think it's an excess

Harvest is coming 😁. Weather conditions are changing: more rain and humidity. Daylight 11h45 The Big Foot flowers are meaty and resinous, some of the terpenes are turning in rusty colors Mid’ week: plant is going to a dark room (dry and ventilated) during 72h, no more watering. The Cut is programmed a day of waning moon, during low tide.

21 september What a week...nothing but rain. MAROC got chopped, she suffered from mould the worst. Grapefruit does a better job in this terrible weather. Few spot with mould were detected and those branches were removed. Every time keeping alcohol at hand to clean immediatly. Carefull not to spread the stuff. Curled/ twisted leaves, black spot are the first indications of rot. I have taken rotting flowers and leaves out and buried them. 2 weeks with little sleep and carefully checking every bud twice on each visit. Now we have 3 sunny days. She will get chopped before the next rain. Hopefully the sun to come is enough for her too bulk up a bit. I would love those calyxes to be fat and swollen. I have given up on reaching amber trichs. Weather wont allow it.

Very good journey to me, she has responded very well to the lst training, providing me beautiful colas, enough for me to have nice clean organic nuggets to smoke. I would definitely would run this Ak420 by seedstockers again, the sweetest phenotype was the number #2 which you can take a look at here in my page!

sorry for not uploading photos instead of that i upload video. plants doing good. plant number 2 showed one male flower on week 5 on whole plant but was caught in time and removed. From that time male flowers didnt appear

📆 Semana 9 El engorde entra en su fase más avanzada, con los cogollos prácticamente formados, ganando dureza y peso día a día. La compactación es muy alta en toda la canopia y los cálices siguen terminando de hincharse, aportando ese último empuje de volumen. La resina continúa aumentando y cubre completamente las flores, con tricomas mayoritariamente lechosos y una ligera aparición de ámbar, pero aún sin dominar, indicando que la planta sigue madurando y todavía no ha alcanzado su punto óptimo de corte. La absorción se mantiene activa, aunque empieza a ralentizarse ligeramente, señal de que la planta entra en su fase final de maduración, centrada en afinar calidad, peso y perfil aromático. El aroma sigue intensificándose y ganando profundidad, mostrando que aún le queda un pequeño margen para expresar todo su potencial. Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

3/11/2024: Start to week 7 flower. She is getting close to being done. Most of the pistols have turned orange, and the tricomes are getting mainly cloudy. Plan to give her another week or two in hopes she will swell a bit

Starting to bud now. The plant has grown rapidly and is getting taller. Had no issues so far apart from she is very hungry. No smell or anything yet.

31/07/23 Everything seems to be going really well even though I haven't added nutriments. I'm planning to use LST on plants 2, 3, and 4 this week, hoping not to mess anything up. I'll have to buy a dehumidifier too because it's very humid at my place right now, and I can't get the humidity level below 65% 01/08/23 I started the LST but only on 2 and 3, and I have no idea if I did it well, but I'm quite happy with the result. 02/08/2023 I have cut some leaves, especially on numbers 2 and 3, so that the little heads are no longer in the shade but directly in the light and I haven't touched number 1, I don't plan to touch it until the end.

We successfully completed week 8 and things are starting to get interesting. The buds have grown significantly in size over the last days and the smell has gotten much stronger. I think I also need a new air filter… The leaves did some coloring in the past week which makes this beauty look even more handsome. I optimized the air intake of my tent this week by replacing my one 100mm tube with two 130mm 3d printed light traps so breathing is much easier now and the vent can run a bit less fast.

Melon Gum is doing good. She is starting to stretch. She should start shooting pustils out soon. Everything is going well. They have seen low temp's of 0.0 and high temps of 36°c but seem to be doing fine so far, 2 weeks growth outdoors is so different to two weeks growth under a light!!
