Extremely disappointed with the yield but that is my mistake by keeping this 100% indica from getting bushier and expecting it to stretch more. Definitely many lessons learned this grow. Going to add weekly flushes with beneficials in my next grow schedule from now on.

In this week, i defoliated most of the (very) sick leaves on both plants. Afghan Kush is really bushy, Blueberry not so much, she skinny. Both smell absolutely great. Both continue to sweel and grow. We are now, same as in the BPP diary, in what i call the "mostly boring" state. its nice to see the visual changes in the timelapse, but other than that, not much to do besides water them. Both have discontinued to show any new or lets say worse signs of any deficiencies, there are now some overfeeding signs but i rather have that then them trying to creep by. Watering reduced to 2.2L for each to account for them taking to long to dry out. Roots are STACKED, the soil is almost solid by them. Next grow will be in airpots since i also expect root issues here(ringroots or the like, maybe damage due to overwatering in like week 3/4). Timelapse i will add tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and see you next week!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. The buds are bulking every day. A slight defoliation was done to expose the inner buds. From next week onwards, Nitrogen will be cut and the first phase of flushing will begin. Harvest in approx 2 weeks!

DAY 7: Hi all. A nice steady week for the girls finding their feet in the pots and without their domes. I have the pota a good soaking to start them off on the right foot and get those roots busy too. The Girl scout cookies are both doing really good with their 3rd nodes happily springing to life. I managed to start l.s.t as soon as the 5th node is workable on them. Plan is to hold the 5th nodes horizontal while the other nodes reach an even canopy height. Then I will let the 5th node continue vertical to join the party as an equal to the others. The Amnesia Haze are also very happy looking in their new homes and domeless. Not as developed as the Gsc but looking a nice shade of green. They are about 1.5 inches and on 3rd node growth too. So far so good. Let's see what another 7 days can add. Be well growmies.

All of the girls are growing nicely, except for one of the fast buds mystery autos Apple strudel #1 Training up to be very easy. Most of the branches are long enough for me to stretch out and take up more surface area of its pot. Apple strudel#2 About a week and a half ago he got the bottom part ate up By ants or some other bug. So I topped this plant as to make more tops And hopefully bring back the nodes that I lost Sweet skunk a little bit smaller than the rest, but it is also younger though I am kind of going for a bonsai style with this plant. I don’t believe it’s gonna be super large but hopefully I can make it look cool. It does have some decent branch areas where they are stretching Mystery auto #1 plant is growing up with a beautiful structure for the most part I have grown naturally without much interference. Occasionally I hold down the top with a garden staple to let the lower branches get some light and to give the plant some healthy LST, once the branches get longer will hopefully be able to stretch it out even more!!

Some nice red and pink hues appearing around the buds and the smell is really lovely, not overpowering but it is a pleasure to stick your nose in the tent and just inhale the aromas. Getting close to harvest time (10-11wks), will be cutting back on the nutes and begin flush feeding and watching the trichomes closely for any changes, they still look clear. Expecting her to start autumning off anytime soon. 18/10 Gave her a water feed 1.5 ltrs with molasses diluted ec 60ppm 6.8 pH

Welcome to the beginning of week nine. She is filling in nicely runs appear to be minimal. She is listed as a 65-70 day strain by Ripper. As I said before this was grown from seeds obtained by letting Rippers Acid Dough go to seed (see my first grow diary for details). Since she pollinated herself they are S1 seeds and of course feminized since no male plant was used.

Well, the room is looking huge. If I didnt defoliate, I feel like the harder to reach areas would be difficult to maintain and that the transpiration would be too much to control. I like what I have going on so far. The defoliated plant has stretched higher than the defoliated one. Underneath they look similar, and it will be very interesting to see the end results for myself. SBG a CHAMP!! Second round of defoliation scheduled for 3 days from now. Thanks for looking
