2.17.2024: End of week 3. Plant is heathy and doing well. Pistils are showing and def in the preflower stage. Would wager there will be noticeable bud development at the end of this week. Still no nutes given although i would have to imagine its getting to be that time. No defoliation yet, only slight LST to the bottom branches. 2.18.2024: Start of week four from seed. Holding course. 2.19.2024: Day 31 from seed. Plant is drinking more. Gave 64oz at 6.4ph. Run off ppm was 1450 at 6.6ph. Essentially 4 full weeks from seed before i need to start feeding. Next watering will contain nutrients. 2.20.2024: Plant is doing its thing. Firmly in the preflower/early flower stage. Growing 1/2 to 1 inch a day it seems like. Still can't bring myself to do any defoliation. 2.21.2024: Day 33 from seed, 29 from sprout. Picked up the pot this morning and it was very lite so i gave it another 64oz at 6.3ph. No run off this time which tells me they are starting to need more water or i need to up the frequency. Still no nutes in 33 days! The branches of the top 2 large fan leaves this morning were sagging a bit with a touch of purple on the stems. Chalking that up to water but will monitor as we progress. 2.22.2024: Besides white tips on top growth, steady as she goes. I'll post a pic of the white tips. No idea how to solve. Plant is totally in flower but since we're almost at the end of week 5 from seed, i'll keep the diary in "flower." 14.5 inches from soil to top. Would love to see these get to 24 inches by the end. 2.23.2024: Upped water to 96oz at 6.4ph. About 2 cups of run off at 6.4ph and 1500ppm. Original soil still has nutes to offer at day 35 from seed.

Flush is on! A gallon a day each of pH’ed tap water for the next week and a half to 2 weeks. Fall colors galore incoming! One is already going mad purple as I started it on the flush a bit earlier.

And the third week of flowering is behind me, Watermelon has begun to stagnate in growth so a height of about 70 cm is the maximum it will reach. 😎 At the end of the week I did a defoliation, I removed the lower leaves and branches and some of the leaves inside the plant itself, which were already very yellow. I’m still not sure what is the cause of the brown spots and leaf decay. If it’s an excess of nutrients, then the conclusion is that Purple Punch (which keeps her company in the Box) is much more resistant than Watermelon. Another possible cause is nicotine disease, because in the plant itself, there is an opening through which air enters the Box, and if there is a lot of tobacco in the room in front, it is possible. 😟 If anyone is reading this text, and has an idea of ​​the cause of leaf decay, I ask him for advice. 🙏 The flowers develop nicely, are full of already visible trichomes and begin to take on an increasingly intense scent. I photographed the plants in the Box, to see the current condition and after that I did a defoliation. For the end, I took the final photos of the plant for the end of the 6th week. Flipped them this morning. Did 7 weeks of veg and flipped to darkness for 48 hours starting today. This will be a true test of “fast flowering”. If they take 60 days to finish I’m good! ✌️🏻💚

Transplanted into bigger pots and moved 2 of the Cream Cookies outdoors. Outdoors I'm growing in 5 gallon buckets filled with ProMix. There are holes drilled at the bottom of the buckets for drainage and the buckets are wrapped with copper tape to help prevent slugs and snails (it works). In the outdoor pics the Cream Cookies are on the right and left (in the middle is Dinafem Quick Critical+). The transplanting didn't stunt anything, seeing significant growth the next day both outdoors and indoors. Still feeding on the Fox Farm schedule at 1/2 strength. This week adds Grow Big to the mix, still feeding Big Bloom, Recharge and CALiMAGic. Totally psyched to see how things develop and compare the outdoor with the indoor. Let the fun begin!!! 😃

Cover crop breaking through lots of visible beneficial insects dirt smells good. Primed for the rest of veg/preflower. It with mycorrhizae molasses humic fulvic liquid this water will hit with the remainder of the alaska fish emulsion the next few watering plan on keeping kelp mycorrhizae and molasses. Mostly applying top dress going through flower as well as some potash and the remainder Pk blend I prepared. Ph a little higher than I wish might be a culprit of some over watering gonna allow a long dry retest and go from there those that have overcame the hormonal flowering shit are beginning to take off. Been amending the gravel and dirt surrounding my planting area and water around it too trying to encourage further outward root spread. Been holding strong not watering the main zone although I have been eating outside the main root zone in order to encourage root branching to go under the wall. It seems to be working. Might try my hand at some foliage feeding going into next week. Also excited for the substantial amount of growth going into this week’s close. Next week should be rather fun to document. Capping off this week strong. equinox tomorrow. clocks ticking, daily incremental light decrease.

Day 87: Cut off two bud sites from Lemon, I'll start putting flower pics in the next post. Still leaving the rest of her to grow and get light. I suspect it'll be a total of 6g dry. Orange is getting denser, definitely going to leave her for a couple of weeks longer. I have a girlfriend coming by to water them when I'm gone. Hopefully every 3 days should be good.

Flipped sides; week 8 on right and week 7 on left. Canopy is filling out really nice. Week 8 - growth slowing down as buds starting to form all over. Crystals starting to develop. Week 7 - growing out quite nice, actually stretched above the plant a week older. Cleaned up older leaves from the bottom on the plant, only those that came off with a gentle tug. Did a little tucking to expose bud sites. Changed out the res, maintaining my 1:2:3 GH floraseries ratio (20ml gro, 40ml micro, 60ml bloom in 20 gal tote). Added 30 ml 30% h2o2.

It’s almost time! This week both plants are getting flushed to prepare them for harvest. 🌱 After that, they’ll be cut down and hung up to dry. #2 has developed an absolutely massive main bud — honestly the biggest I've ever had so far! Meanwhile, #1 stands proud as the tallest plant in the tent, still giving off that amazing sweet, tropical aroma.🍍🍬 Both plants have shown a very fast flowering time, finishing up quicker than expected! Upon checking the trichomes, about 65% are milky, 30% amber, and 5% still clear — exactly where I want them for the effects I'm aiming for. Super excited to see the final results after the dry and cure💚

She is slightly smaller. A little less aggressive. A little less imposing. But she possesses something equally valuable. Character. Looking at the canopy from above, the first thing that stands out is how compact and tidy she remains. While her sister is charging forward with obvious vigor, Pheno B appears to be investing more energy into establishing structure before accelerating upward. The leaves are healthy and evenly colored. The stems remain strong. The new growth is vibrant and active. Most importantly, the plant shows no signs of struggling despite her slightly slower pace. In fact, many experienced growers learn over time that the fastest seedling is not always the plant that finishes strongest. Some phenotypes sprint. Others build momentum. Right now, Pheno B feels very much like the second type. ⸻ A Different Growth Rhythm One of the most interesting aspects of growing multiple phenotypes side by side is seeing how differently plants can respond under identical conditions. The internodes remain relatively compact. The branching is beginning to establish itself. The center of the plant is becoming increasingly busy with fresh growth. If both sisters looked identical, there would be little to learn. Instead, we get to observe how two related plants express themselves in unique ways. Week 8 is plugging along with majority of buds continuing to swell and become firm to the touch. Some of the lower buds are showing some red hairs with clear to partly cloudy, no amber heads seen. Next week will be the last week of C02 and I will drop the reservoir temp to 66.
