Grow Diary – Day 79 (Flowering Day 59) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Nutrients: Flushing – pH-adjusted water only Lighting: LED at 50% intensity Date: May 30 Status: Final flush in progress – harvest slightly delayed Today marks Flowering Day 59, and the Sour Frootz are now well into the ripening phase. For the past three days, only pH-adjusted water has been given, initiating the flush phase. At this point, the nutrients in the soil are nearly depleted, and the plants are naturally drawing on internal reserves—visible through gradual leaf yellowing and fade. The plants are approaching ideal harvest maturity. The delay in harvest by a few days allows more amber to develop and maximizes terpene maturity without compromising overall quality. Lighting Conditions: • The LED is currently running at 50% power to gently finish the ripening process while minimizing light stress and preserving essential oils during these final days. Plant Observations: • Buds are hard, resinous, and aromatic • Strong sour/citrus funk intensifies with every day • Natural senescence is occurring – older fan leaves fading evenly • No nutrient deficiencies or toxicity present • Humidity stable around 50%, airflow is optimal • No signs of mold or late-stage issues Outlook: Harvest is likely to occur within the next 3–5 days, depending on final trichome checks and desired effect. You’re in the home stretch now, with flavor and resin peaking. Continuing to monitor closely for optimal harvest timing is key from here.

12/1 - Well, here we are. December 1st, start of week 9. She is absolutely loaded with buds and I just can't wait to see how they swell and ripen over the coming weeks. I switched over from Early-Bloom to Mid-Bloom nutes (DynaGro Week 5 Flower, Recirculating). This is the first week with Grow (FoliagePro) cut out completely. I still fed her at a 75% concentration of Bloom and of MagPro, but full strength of DynaZyme, ProTekt, and Hydroguard (At the amounts notated). This gives her a ppm right at 1000 (2.0ec), though she will likely go +/- 50-100ppm. This week the plan is to top off with pH'd water instead of topping off with nutes due to the higher EC, though target is to keep her between 800-1000ppm (1.6-2.0ec). 12/5 - Uploaded video from 12/4 Thanks again for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

This is one happy plant, she takes any of the training I give her, she’s eating twice a week now, around a gallon a day, just eating to be a real beauty, so so excited to see her at harvest.

Start week 9 , Bio Bloom 4 ml/L + Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra 2 ml/L + CarboLoad 2 ml/L + Top Max 4 ml/L + Overdrive 2 ml/L (Ph 6.7).

Week Three off to a great start. After having fed dry nutrients last week, Im noticing the slightest amount of nitrogen toxicity in the leaf tips. I flushed with two gallons each. Luckily it had been two weeks since their last watering, so they werent too far off my normal watering schedule. Pushing back the liquid nutrients another week or more. So we started feeding them. just some organic growth by BAC and some Calmag. Mostly around the sides of the pots to encourage the roots and start the Microlife overall. We have used nice lukewarm water and added some sugar sirop to activate all the wee beasties. The growth last week was phenomenal although one is going faster than the other. For this reason I changed them around, should climate on that spot have anything to do with that. Now we are looking at other XL runts diaries, to learn from the best performers and copycat their methods to maximize yields with this setup. We will decide if we will just LST them or give them a top... Have to be quick tho, these ladies will flower soon... Starting off this new run strong!!! Loving how fast the sprouties are growing. They look pretty happy to me. Maybe bottled nutes are best for my indoor.

Pure Ice cream great really well under the Spider Farmer lights in the Athena nutrition. She did get too close to the light. I should of hst her. My mistake, they will still smoke. Smells great, and is loaded in trichromes. Has a sweet creamy. Pine smell. Everything looks great. I only had minor ph issues during grow. She was thriving for a lot of it. The week was great. The roots took to the 1/4 nutes and I’m expecting beast mode soon. Stems are ok, stalks are good until you’ve gotten trunks. This ebb and flow NFT system is the way to go for me. I red something a while back about “kiss” keep it stupid simple. This setup does that and triples anything in souls I’ve ever done. My only new issue is that my humidity is quite a bit higher so I see myself investing in dehumidifiers down the road.

Finally chopped down and harvested. My best plant yet and that was all thanks to homegrown genetics for these killer genetics. If you haven't tried this guy yet, I absolutely beg you to. You will not be disappointed The Terps are straight Dank Ripe Black Cherry, that Superboof orange rind/hashy funkiness, and sum really nice earthy hash notes from the Pure Michigan. All comes together and almost reminds me of a really deep earthy cherry pie with a very slight Superboof orange influence. Very black cherry/Cherry Candy heavy. But not traditional "candy" you see now days. All around 10/10, I will be running Apple Junky and Garlic Applez next!

And then your branding/research helps give me confidence in knowing that I am working with great genetics before I even start my grow. ---------------------------- Germination Start 2/13/24 to 2/18/24 2/19 to 2/25 Veg Days 1 to 7 Week 0 to 1 Germination took 6 days from dropping in water to transplanting into 1 gallon pots. 29hours in a glass of 6.3ph room temp RO water. Something I would only attempt if they were both floating. They were,so leaving them that long they were able to crack open. I then placed both in paper towels wet with the glass water and pasted to the sides of the glass for 3 days (1 day too long in retrospect). I placed in rapid rooter pods and closed with toothpick tips. They popped out from the pods 1 day later but I gave them 2 days before transplant. Video: Incubator water level is key for rapid rooter pods to wick properly during incubation. Transplant to 1 gal pots: I am using a 50/50, 50%perlite/50%soil with a .5lb of dolomite lime and a .5ml of flora micro added to .5 gallon of RO water (Im mixing 2 gallons of soil total so the water to soil ratio is 1/4 of the total medium volume) to achieve a soil tested ph of 6.4. I am using a 50/50 soil/perlite mix because I plan to use these in auto pots. I also used about 1 cup of the same soil mix water to pour around the plant after transplant; you can see how the perlite rises to the top where I did this. I sprayed two domes and covered - I plan to leave covered for the first week. Feed: I kept them under the domes and sprayed every day that I didnt feed them, to keep humidity up while I let them find water in the soil. By the end of the week I took the domes off and took pictures. Feed this week was another 1 cup of 6.3ph water 5 days after transplant. Feed plan next week will increase the amount to 2 cups of plain-no-nute water with about 4 days between feeds. I want to see the water run through so if I need to use more than 2 cups I will. The idea is to water deep and through, but then make them search for more before the next feed, hopefully spreading the roots out while doing it. Veg Plan: I plan on 8 colas for each plant. So that will be 3 topping days and a total of 7 cuts. I will want to cut the first time on day 21 if I have 5+ nodes. I will transfer to 5 gallon auto pots with-in 1 week of the first topping. Once I have 3 nodes of new growth past the first topping, I will top those two branches to the first node again. (that's 3 cuts total by this point) Then, after 3 new nodes of growth after that, I will do a last topping on the 4 branches. (4 new cuts added to make a total of 7 cuts and 8 colas) I will train the branches using LST/HST with tie downs as soon as I can after the first topping day to help maintain the branches growing where I want them to. I will also introduce an adjustable tomato ring after they have settled into the 5 gallon forever pots to provide support and mobility Hopefully all goes well, and I will have 1 to 2 weeks of growth before flip after week 8. I think it sounds more ambitious than it really is, but if you follow this journal, we will see together.

Week 3: Vegetative Stage – Training, Defoliation, and Entering Full Flower The Apricot Autos have really taken off this week. I’ve been doing a little defoliation here and there, but over the course of training and tucking, I sometimes get a little heavy-handed and manage to break the odd leaf. Even with these occasional slips (you can see it in the pics), the plants are still shaping up nicely and getting huge, though not as much as my previous grow, which was also Fast Buds autos. By the end of the week, the plants have started to noticeably stretch, which I’m happy about since it makes them easier to train. At this stage, I like to train using mental pegs, gardening wire, and leaf tucking. I rarely remove any leaves until I have a clearer idea of the plant’s final shape, which did evolve quickly this week, prompting me to take action. On day 27, one of the plants is entering full flower, while the one with the misshapen leaf is a couple of days behind. The difference between the two is becoming less noticeable, although one is still bigger. Current Setup: Medium: 70/30 coco/perlite mix with Great White Mycorrhizae added during transplant Lights: DLI set to 22 Nutrients: Big Plant Science (introduced midweek) Despite breaking a leaf or two during training, both plants are progressing well, with flowering now fully underway.

Going on 4th weeks in vegetative stage. Added more red lst clips to foam a table or even canopy as they grow towards the lights. Cut off lower branches that I knew not going to be as strong, but growing big buds due to activating the self watering system I set my ph low as it’ll uprising by next Friday. I’m juice bout this grow going to turn out 10x better plus got the cannatrol long been waiting. Let go :)

June 29: should start growing quickly here soon. July 1: last 30 days has been 1.5 C cooler than historic average, and is more than 3 C cooler than last year. Big heat wave in eastern Canada, but not here this year (so far). July 4: some growth going on above ground but she should pick up speed here now with nice weather and Week 4.

Feb 22 This guy really is FAST. I guess FastBuds was right. I'll need to attach a timelapse to show just how fast it's taken off.
