Hey Fam! I really enjoyed doing this run of FastBuds Tropicana Cookies Auto's, and it for sure was a learning experience for me! I ended up with three distinct phenotypes of this strain, from short and bushy to tall and lanky. The differences didn't stop there, coloration ranged from a light lavender, to a dark purple that almost appears black! The aromas differed as well with the #2 plant having a very 'hashy' smell to her, while the #1 & #3 pheno's were sweeter and more floral. They took just over 10 weeks from breaking ground to finish, and then were hung for 14 days in total darkness @ 58-60℉ to begin the drying/curing process. I like to cure my flower in jars for a minimum of 4 weeks, preferably 6 weeks before I try it out as this gives ample time to fully cure and for the terpenes to mature so I am quoting FastBuds on how this strain smokes... my report will be updated in a few weeks once the flower has cured. "Tropicana Cookies Auto’s effect starts with an energizing head rush that gets your mind up and running while leaving you in a nice calm state. As the Indica-dominant side kicks in, the powerful cerebral effect gradually moves downwards and hits your whole body with a deep relaxation that leaves you with a joyful stoney sensation and in an overall happy and positive state of mind. It’s the perfect daytime and nighttime strain as it can boost your mood and enhance a night out with friends but can also quiet your mind as you get ready for a good night of sleep. No matter the scenario, expect a powerful high that lasts for hours on end."* *Credit: FastBuds

Nutrients
Absolutely LOVE the entire PLAGRON line! Using their nutrients produced PHENOMENAL results!!! Highly recommend!
My 'go to' for all my runs!
This was my first time using NPK's RAW Yucca, I followed all the information provided and really very impressed by this product. It performed as advertised and I saw zero negative effects in my plants.
Lights
What can I say...after running three SunSystems 315 LEC's with great success in my 4x8 I made the switch to LED's. I did my research, talked to other growers, then decided to go with two HLG's 650R's. I added to each of them HLG's 30w supplemental UV bars which attach directly to the main quantum board...nice clean setup! The thing I liked most about these lights, besides the massive 2.81 umol output, is the fact that you can hang these bad boys a recommended 30"-48" above the canopy depending on stage (I've had them @ 24" during flower and the girls LOVED it!) which is unlike the majority of the other LED's which have much closer recommended hanging heights, which in my mind affects the coverage area. I wouldn't go back to CMH's or with anything else after seeing the results these powerhouses can provide!πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Tents
Insofar as 'bang for the buck' and quality, you really cannot go wrong with AC Infinities tents. They are well made, durable and easy to setup... what more can you want?

~FastBuds Tropicana Cookies~ This was my first time running this FastBuds strain, along with my first attempt at 'hydroponic' growing using the AirCube Active Oxygen Ebb/Flow System from GrowAce. I cultivated three plants from seed to finish in just over 70 days growing in a 70/30 Coco/Perlite mix coupled with a layer of straight Perlite in the bottom of the fabric pots to ensure drainage and fed Plagron nutrients for the entire run with the exception of a 10 day flush at the end. Among those three cultivars, I had three distinctly different phenotypes. The #1 plant grew short and extremely bushy, with beautiful thick purple flowers, showing more Indica like traits. The #2 plant, which was the only one of the three that was topped, stretched her 'legs' and grew fairly tall in comparison to the #1. She also lacked the deep purple coloration of the #1, having just hints of light lavender in her flowers which were stacked tightly and completely frosted over with glistening trichomes! Lastly, the #3 phenotype grew the tallest of the bunch with wide, 'Sativa-like', node spacing. She was the one that experienced several issues during the grow, but finished out not looking too bad with a super dark purple coloration to her flowers that almost appears black. That dark purple color, coupled with her dark orange pistils give her flowers extra eye appeal! FastBuds Tropicana Cookies Auto was a very easy to cultivate strain and produced really spectacular results all things considered. I'll definitely be looking forward to running this one again in a 100% organic grow and can't wait to the results from that! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ Now let me move on the the AirCube Active Oxygen Ebb/Flow System from GrowAce. I was sponsored this system in return for my feedback on it shared through my Social Media accounts. On paper, this looks like a really great product, and I'm sure with enough time and experience you could get optimal results from using it, but for me that just was not the case. The initial setup went very smoothly, GrowAce's AirCube System looks to be extremely well made, comes with fairly clear instructions, and went together easily. I did add hose clamps to all the fittings attached to hoses for an extra measure of insurance against leaks (no one needs 20+gallons flooding the grow room!) and also placed the reservoir and 'brain bucket' outside of my 4x4 which allowed me to place all six AirCube pots in the tent, and yes it ended up being a bit too tight for me... it probably would work better with 3 plants or less in a 4x4. So lets get in to my pluses and minuses in my opinion for the GrowAce AirCube Active Oxygen Ebb/Flow System: Positives: β€’ Well made β€’ Easy to assemble β€’ Easy to understand instructions and lots of 'how to' media available β€’ Easily expandable Negatives: β€’ Not for novices, previous hydroponic growing experience needed β€’ No way to control solution temperature in reservoir β€’ Roots growing out of the fabric pots end up dying and rotting which results in a ton of debris in the solution necessitating draining/cleaning/refilling the system every 4-5 days β€’ No way to adjust nutrient levels for individual plants, they all get the same PPM like it or not. β€’ Requires having all plants start together, and finish together as there is no way to flush individual plants. β€’ Lastly, I like to turn my plants, which is impossible and also to photograph them which is difficult with this setup. All in all, I enjoyed the experience of 'hydro' growing, but am ready to get back to what I really LOVE to do which is 100% organic grows... Stay tuned fam!

Just stopping by to say hello and to give some advice if open otherwise just ignore me ;-)~ First and foremost I applaud you by going with a hybrid EBB/FLOW and "automation" - however this "ecosystem" of macro/micro & beneficial bacteria/fungi must be in balance and living together to promote a proper soil-food web otherwise your plants are only getting nutrients from the water/nutrient mix in suspension and PH must be 5.8 - 6.0 period for DWC to be effective at the least and the water temp has to be 65 - 68 no fluctuations period here and the DO (dissolved oxygen - needs to be 8 or 9 which is full saturation) otherwise PYTHOM will be present and other bad bacteria which is why the smell is atrocious as mentioned in your previous post. Further, reasoning behind comments thus far is because visually I can see everything the plants are saying and looking - not good and in dire need of help this is a hard pill to swallow but remember (cannabis is a heavy metal accumulator - if the PH swings rapidly then it will absorb them at higher concentrations from the nutrient solution if the PH is out of balance, therefore for example: manganese being richer than it should and locking out other potassium, etc. Consequently, this is a short-day plant and requires a balanced eco-system something that ebb-flow and other (DWC) will not be able to provide and thus setting oneself up for major issues later in flower and at harvest, which without lab tests I wouldn't smoke it or consume it personally, education is paramount. I wish you the best and if continued growing try a more sustainable approach as no till, permaculture/vermiculture, true living soil ;-), you will be more pleased with the outcome and so will the plants. Best of luck & JahBless!

@TheCannaProphet, hydro has learning curve of about a year, even for the advanced experienced grower. Although it is not organic, I wouldn’t dismiss it outright. The end result is debatably just as good a quality. 😊

@TheCannaProphet, Thank you for being so understanding I did the same exact thing; I was sponsored back in 2012....... DWC full blown automation...... I will NEVER do it again. LOL ----- grow what you love, love what you grow ;-)~ Cannabis and more cannabis please and thank you. Yes I agree with everything you stated and I thought you were mainly organic and figured you were extending your palate so to speak ;-). Your squared away for sure, and glad to see your a steward of the plant! Looking forward to your future organic grows ;-) JahBless and best of luck

@boutique_buddz, Thank you for the knowledgeπŸ™ As I mentioned in my diary, this is my first attempt at 'hydro' and mistakes were bound to be made... hopefully, this is how we learn and grow. Just to clarify, ninety plus percent of my runs are organic/living soil, so I'm intimately familiar with it's benefits. This system was 'sponsored' to me, as mentioned in my diary and I will give my honest opinion of it once the run is finished, then I'll be back to my 'roots'! Thanks again for the input... Grow what you love, Love what you grow!πŸ’šπŸ˜ŽπŸ™
