She was the Star of the Grow and My Best Yield yet. She was Easy to Grow but I'd suggest taking Care to not overdo the Nutrients. Ran into some early Signs of Burn but She was Fine once I went back to 1/2 Dosage. I Cut the 4 Main Colas to Hang n Clipped the rest at the Buds to Lay Out n Dry. I Barely have Room in My Drying Box. If I've found My Grower's Stride like I Hope I have I'll need to Construct a New Larger Box. By my Calculations She should Dry Out to about 60 Grams. Day 53: In this last week I moved all the plants again and removed the leaves and branches for the last time. Twenty or twenty-five days at the most for the first harvest, and I can already draw up a final report on the genetics of this strain. On eight plants of Gorilla four showed a predominance indica with a large central cola and less ramifications. Two plants are much more bushy have a sativa predominance with longer buds and have branched out a lot. For the last two unfortunately has dominated the photoperiodic genetics and their flowering is considerably late, so as to be overcome by the two cheeses that are in bloom more advanced. However, the pistils have popped up and started to bloom, so the autoflowering genetic part is present. I am a patient grower anyway, so I will wait for them to complete their cycle even if I have to wait about three months. In these days I have added to my secret garden four other varieties: 1 Purple Glam Kush and 1 Sweet Tooth Auto by Bulk Seeds, 1 Critical Rapid by Barney's Farm and 1 Northern Lights x Blueberry by i49 Seeds. Well she transitioned into flower this week but she is stretching at a fast rate. I'm hoping she keeps stretching another week or two. Two of the other autos started to bud this week but i was hoping this one would be offset beings that is was germinated a little later so Im wondering if theirs something that triggered them to flower other than its genetics. It did cool down this week from in the 100's, to mid 80's and mid 60's at night. They got more compost tea this week and some rain a few days earlier in the week followed by sunshine.

Shes growing slower than the first plant I did in this manner but if she reaches 3 months of veg im gonna flower her even if she hasnt gotten to where i want her. Can't win em all.

I was not expecting to harvest that much as she was a tiny and quite slow girl, but the final yeld was very good! It was exciting to grow and finally harvest this amazing strain :)

Hi growers, We are heading into the final stretch!!! Two days ago I carefully took a seed out of a bud on one plant using tweezers, planted it and it sprouted without any issues, which is great news. On the other plant the seeds have not reached full maturity yet. So this grow is slowly going to finish. Most of the trichromes have turned milky and the first signs of amber are starting to show. The ladies have been fattening up and the nuggets are looking pretty frosty. The girls are stinky and sweet. Switching to the automated watering has made a huge difference. The girls are starting to slow down on water uptake and the leaves are starting to fade. The ladies all look quite different with 2 very distinct pheno types showing. One pheno of a short plant with lots of orange hairs and very dense nuggets. The other pheno is very tall with more white hairs and fluffier bud structure. I will harvest these ladies within the next 2 weeks, depending on how the trichromes develop. I have been using Plagron Green Sensation to help bud development. so i let the plants veg out for another week (per my girlfriends recommendations). here's a plug to CocoForCannabis.com, I learned a lot there and I give a lot of credit to high frequency fertigation in coco. I defoliated twice just this week, and within a day or two all of the leaves have come back. i did one large defoliation today as I plan to flip to flower on Tuesday. I'll let all these grow vertical and then I'll do one final cleaning at the end of week two. I'm loving these barneys farm genetics - the plants are strong, and I'm getting the craziest lemon scent - like lemon candy. not a lot of skunk coming through yet, but I'm sure that will come in flower. i also cracked on of these plants right down the main stem when doing the quadline LST, and it just powered straight through and didn't even show and stress signs. full credit to the genetics on that one. included some before, during and after pics of defolation. unfortunately my timelapse got messed up AGAIN (stupid wyze cameras) so I only was able to pull like two days, but you can see some of the daily quadline training and how fast they flip back up and grow out

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Oct 12: super warm still so the season is still going. In previous years we’ve had a -10 C sort of hard frost by now. Anyway, Bruce here is taking advantage of the warm weather. Sunlight is weak so not producing as many trichomes as she could under stronger light, but she is still putting on weight and the buds are decently firm. Most fan leaves turned purple at which point they’re no good for photosynthesis so I figured it’s better to remove them here in the home stretch. Might harvest in a few days, or might not… Oct 13: first round of 940 g wet buds, mostly as fresh frozen, with 80 g of that hanging. Buds are less dense than the Gorilla Cookies so despite Bruce being the bigger plant, it looks like the final yields will be similar. Left biggest cola on plant to see how much further it can ripen. Oct 14: watered with 26 C water with some potassium sulphate. My TDS meter has been broken all season so was estimating. Oct 15: nice weather continues. Oct 16: +4.2 C temperature anomaly over last 30 days, and this is “extremely hot”. Yay. Oct 18: sun is so low now that I lose direct sun by late afternoon. Weather turns soon and there are just four more days to go. Bruce will be harvested this weekend.

The ladies got new shoes today. The went from 3 gal to 5g. In this soil mix is based with nectar of the gods #4 soil with added mykos, azos, recharge, roots organics terp tea mix, potassium silicate, fresh worm castings.

The white widow is a few days into flowering and the Northern Lights looks to be in preflower. I'm adding 5ml of sensi bloom part A and B per gallon of water, and 3ml of big bud

Growth is exponential now. I had to install poles to stabilize several plants, some were tilting. It seems as if they grew so fast they were leaning over. I have topped them several more times and removed some of the inner wasteful branches.
