[This is a beginner's journey to grow a Blue Dream plant outdoors, from seed, for the very first time. I added 3 clones in week 7, and I will include their progress, but each week this journey will feature Foster, the Blue Dream. Thanks for joining me as I learn to grow outdoor cannabis in the beautiful Willamette Valley.] Foster is doing very well this week. At the recommendation of my local organics shop, I've switched my nutrients from Fox Farms (Big Bloom & Grow Big) over to GreenGro's Nature's Pride veg nutrients (info here: http://www.thegreengro.com/product/veg-6-3-3-5/). It's a powder, and I'm feeding 14ml/gal (or, since she's in a 45 gallon pot, 630ml) as a top dressing once/week. I really like the nutrients--it includes mycorrhizae. I will also add a microbial compost tea next Friday at feeding. The Nature's Pride nutrients are a bit more expensive than the Fox Farm nutrients I was working with, but the folks at my organics shop have the plant science background, and its what they use, so I'm going to track the results in the coming weeks. At any rate, It's been a very hot, windy, and humid week in Western Oregon, and she's been drinking nearly 2 gallons/day. New growth looks very healthy, and the sites where I've topped are growing 2 new vibrant colas.

wow, these sweet ones grow really fast and are very pretty. They have nothing to claim except that the Black Muffin probably wanted a little more nutrients.

Both plants are being fed plain ph water (about 207 ppm, ph 6.4) purples on the second pheno are almost black 🤤

Last week went well once the distance was changed for the light and I added another mL per gallon of cal-mag and she is getting color back to some of the damaged leaves. I think she is back on the right track. She has needed more cal-mag than anything I have grown. Can't wait to try it out when finished. The smell is unreal. Reminds me of a super sour smelling candy like sour patch kids. She is stacking up bud nicely so far. Just smooth sailing for the next few weeks I expect. Until next time happy growing to everyone!

Great week of overall growth: Branches getting a good stretch over sun leaves canopy. Pistil growth has kicked in with branches having many nodes. The canopy now takes up the diameter of the grow chamber. I tweaked the solution because leaves were growing light green and after a week of new solution mix they seem to have taken to it. Have been playing Fugazi and Nirvana on interior speaker and also raised the light 6". They also have a beautiful scent and I am wondering if the chamber will still handle covering the smell. The living room is right above my basement grow room and you could always smell it in the past but I had no problems the last to times because I used the ABLE Grow Chamber and the plants were small. The plants from this grow are twice the size I was able to achieve in my last two grow due to the upgraded COB LED and the CO2. I water them in the morning with .5L of solution and another L when I get home from work. Will keep this watering schedule till time to flush. Have counted 20 mini colas from two plants. Will defolite one final time today to clear sun leaves that are shadowing potential bud growth.

this is week 5/6 of my super OG autoflower. I would like some feedback as this is my first grow. Using a small areogarden with 10w led and a separate 80/100w grow light. Red blue bulbs. Not sure the leafs looking that great? What do you guys think? I cut some fan leafs off due to the bottom of the plant not getting so much light. Is this ok to do? Feedback please. Thanks guys

There isn't much more to say about this fantastic strain. Hardy, easy to clone, quick to flower and absolutely delicious in every respect. It resists well to high temperatures, "accidental" over fertilization, and recovers soon after a period of drought. Easy and fast.

Hey Growers, end of week 7 from seed :) This is plant #2 Its a female Took a while for me to reveal its gender. She is looking healthy and is growing fast. Did some trimming Slowing increasing nutrients, I am Currently feeding every three days 1 gallon of water with 1/2 of the recommended feeding schedule given from the manufacturer. Sunday, July first was the start of week 5. Having slight issues with the mothers but the clones are doing awesome! So even if they die I have 17 more tries, lol. Days 15 to 17, varying by plant: My journey of experimentation, aiming to refine and perfect my cannabis cultivation methods, continues. This venture’s ultimate objective is to position myself as a preeminent cannabis cultivator in my locale. As I navigate through the labyrinth of regulatory licensing, I’m conducting a trial run with my seedlings under continuous lighting conditions and a minimal nutrient regime. My primary goal during this phase is to identify any potential hiccups that could hinder the growth process and ultimately impact the productivity of my intended commercial operation. As I delve deeper into this exploratory phase, I draw invaluable insights from the thriving cannabis community, whose collective wisdom informs my decision-making process. Given my geographical location and available resources, I’ve opted for a strategic shift in my cultivation strategy. Previously, I’ve been procuring seeds at an average cost of $10 to $22 per seed, with a relatively broad success rate variance, ranging from 70% to 85%. However, an alternative presents itself in the form of local cultivators. These businesses offer cannabis plants aged between 2 to 4 weeks, boasting an impressive variety of over 100 strains. These juvenile plants are offered at a cost-effective rate: an average of $100 for eight plants. With a success rate hovering between 70% and 95%, these plants offer excellent value. Essentially, I can access pre-grown plants at a substantial discount, in turn significantly boosting my chances of success. Consequently, I am poised to transition away from growing cannabis from seeds to harvesting. By sourcing my plants from local cultivators, I stand to significantly reduce overhead and production time—an undeniably smart move from a business standpoint. This strategic pivot signifies the end of an era and the exciting beginning of a more efficient and cost-effective chapter in my cannabis cultivation journey. I am currently outlining a plan to expand my cultivation by acquiring several juvenile plants, which should be happening between July 1st and 3rd. The new additions to my garden will include Acapulco Gold, Gelato, White Truffle, and Runtz. These will be cultivated in harmony with the existing growth, which comprises God’s Gift, Northern Lights, and the final surviving F1 Epsilon. My primary objective is to establish the most efficient and cost-effective supply chain possible. I aim to achieve this through the use of an off-grid system that runs solely on solar power, which will ensure complete sustainability and renewability. From a business standpoint, this approach is advantageous as it allows me to leverage the growth of high-quality plants that are already in the cultivation phase. The new plants are expected to arrive in about a week. If the growth rate of the currently cultivated plants doesn’t meet expectations, I’ll be incorporating several of the newly arrived plants into the hydroponics systems. This methodical approach aims to ensure an optimal growth rate and the highest possible yield. I also wish to address the cannabis grower community directly. I hope that my decision to skip the seed-to-plant stage does not cause any offense. My intentions are simply focused on maximizing quality and output, while minimizing our carbon footprint. I believe this approach is in the best interest of sustainability and efficiency, without compromising on the quality that our community values so highly. As we proceed with this venture, we’re currently in the phase of collecting equipment and navigating through the licensing process. Gave her a heavy defoliation! She's growing very strong, and needed a little thinning out! The defoliation promotes the lower buds growth, by allowing more light penetration! The defoliation also ensures that airflow throughout the plant is strong!
