The Apple Betty babies have gone through a lot this week 😬After a couple of days of LST, I let them recover for a few days. Once they were looking perky again, I decided to top all three. Day 31 - topped the girls after some deliberation. I had been undecided, ultimately figured that it was best for my situation, whether or not I decide to use my DIY scrog screen. For those unsure of when to top, 5 nodes or true leaf sets seems to work for me. Find the shoot at the very top, make sure it’s got some small shoots on either side started, and snip! It’s that easy. Topping will disrupt the hormones being distributed through the plant instead of the top, and force your plants energy and growth to the lower branches. Not to mention you will now have two main tops growing instead of one 😎 Give the plants some time to recover before doing anything major again, and you should he able to see your plants get bushier instead of taller. Once they were topped I bent and worked all the stems and branches between my fingers making sure to get all of them. As you can tell from the main stalk, the twisting and bending works, she thicc already! I also put their wire ties back on and bent all three over as far as I could get them to go comfortably before feeling like they would snap. This was a lot of stress for these girls, but they have shown they have a great stress response, and recover quickly. Pheno #2 remains a bit smaller in comparison, yet it's catching up with an increase in bud density and trichome development. Pheno #3 stands out with its robust growth and resin-packed buds that are slightly ahead in terms of maturity compared to its siblings. As we approach the harvest, maintaining optimal environmental conditions—consistent humidity and temperature—is more crucial than ever to maximize their potential. I might switch the lights in the next days. Depending on her growth. Day44: Added some water and moved the camera a little further away. Day45: She felt lonely, so I got her a friend... Theobroma Cacao. New seedling that needs the warmth + humidity. Hopefully surviving winter. Day46: I decided to take some zoomed in stills of her. To show off her beauty. The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

Day 106. Trim jaiiiiiilllllllll !!!! First done, think it could reach my record 240. Insane quality. 4 rows of solid buds hanging .... Next one .... Both finally finished and honestly, that's my plants to be proud of !!! Day 114. All is done, no doubts its my best grow. Happy Growing !!!

So far she’s growing great, I noticed she was a bit finicky with the nutrients at 75% strength, I noticed a couple claws here and there so I only fed big bud and sensi bloom and a little lower strength and she reacted great to it.

12/9/2017 - The stretch these girls put on when they hit flower is insane. I'm getting ready to add bamboo stakes for support because I already can tell they are going to have massive nugs on them. They jumped from 9-10inches tall to just shy of 24 inches in under a week. They have now stopped all veg growth and are starting to pack on pistils already. I just got a new bottle of mammoth P so that will be added back into the nutrients starting now. 12/12/2017 - Definitely 2 completely different phenotypes. One is extremely tall (30 inches from pot) and stretched out with a bunch of long side branches. The other is shorter (24 inches from pot) and bushier. It will need some leaf tucking during flower for sure. They are both responding very well to the environment and nutrients (I got more mammoth p finally!!!) I've also used bamboo chutes and this gardening velcro tape stuff that I love to support all of the branches. Based on my Gold Glue grow these plants are about to produce some monster buds that the branches wouldn't be able to support.

------GENERAL COMMENT------ All good, had a flawless week with the girls. Experiencing a lot of issues with the LED though, because of the high humidity in the tent when the lights are out, have to manage that some how... Basically the led matrix fails and blinks till the humidity lower, with this i loose around 1 hr of light a day till it starts all leds... A strange thing to experience! Forgot to start with the flowering booster, so this week missed Big Bud, but still i gave frequently some Bud Ignitor at least. Next watering Bud ignitor and voodoo juice goes out, Big Bud and Velo Kelp come in to play. ------GG.AK47 COMMENT------ Crazy growth out of this girl, super vigorous, loads of branches, i'm very happy till now with her, super strong. Just letting her do her thing now, no more messing around, just pure contemplation! 😎

I just saw that biotabs.nl commented ... Wow thanks... Anyway of course you are right I should reduce the stress for a while... However there is a lot of plant matter being produced. The stem is finger thick ... Cannabis is such am amazing plant I am not an experienced grower by the way... The plant was just above 30cm tall now it is 41 I added some orgatrex 2ml on Tuesday. Will ad some more next week. Some leafs show some spots ... But please bear in mind this is growing at 28 degrees with CO2 on 1200ppm So I expect some nutrient deficiency... As I rather have a bit too less... A few handful of leafs had to go and I just removed the ones that showed spots.... Makes it also easier to spot new leafs with deficiency

experiment explanation see week1 This week both different living soil experiments Tropicana No2 and No3 did not grow anymore...only the flowers got a bit bigger...especially No3

plants are looking great, nice and thick and growing well. Smells are increasing and so is bud density. Giving them water and the occasional top dressing, They should be fine till harvest now. Added in some bokashi grains to the medium to help unlock even more potential for the plants and nutrient uptake. If that's how it works, more a less kitchen sink mentality and does not seem to hurt. Going to be hard to check the trichomes on this plant as it is so dark but will need to keep and eye on it in the next few weeks and it will be getting close to its estimated 13w harvest date. I made a little tea out of some of the flower the spider mites/thrips where not touching. in hopes some of the extract will stay on the plant and prevent them from eating it, I honestly can't tell if it did a thing, I like to think it did something but doubtful. Also got my hands on a bunch of predator mites. There where a bit past the BB date so hopefully they will still be active/alive. Side note uploading videos into the diaries is great and all, but takes to long to resize and process, can't hit save till its all done... no idea what its doing in the backend.

A honest opinion? I’m sorry that she could’t grow with all the space and light she needed. She’s good, I removed all the lower branches that light could’t reach, but she has not much space. Well, I removed 3 plants from the grow room and now she’s feeling better, but I hope lower branches will stretch up and fatten up a lot more. Peace ✌️
