Day 99 - Change up for ripening. Have Moved to the Sunmaster 10K finisher to see about frosting up dem der buds. Have also moved to using Dragon Force now to get the final push on them prior to flushing them back for the harvest. Getting plenty of Brown pistils (Much easier to see under the 10K) but from last nights look, trichs were still pretty clear. Have ordered a wee USB microscope of the Big Bad Amazon to give them a better look (expecting it Wednesday) as the wee handheld loope I have is pretty pish!!! Apart from that, its now a watching and waiting game! Hope you all enjoy the vid/pics and happy growing all!!!

1/30/21Saturday morning had me lounging, watering, pruning and a photo shoot. I am hoping for a quick recovery from the middle plant after some pruning was done. I was hoping it would stretch one last time so I could move the light but I am parked there for the time. ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND! 1/31/21Yesterday’s work paid off and the plants look a bit more on the dank side today. Today’s feeding day which mean the last for week 11. Happy Growing

A week further and have started the flowering. I write this a couple of days later, with now more knowlegde about revegging and can conclude I started too flower too early. Especially the big plant, which was still not completely revegged. On the upside, I got to learn lots about revegging, also to know that it might take weeks for the plants to make the switch again and produce buds :(, should have waited few more weeks for revegging done. So wet on with defoliating, the left plant on the pictures I still have to do and trained budsites more sideways and some leaftucking, strategic defoliage on top. We shall see. The plants are not happy and im going to feed them some Biobizz Alg-A-Mic to help them destress and ease the suffering, thankfully @styliaga gave me some. I will do another update after coming feed and recovery. As a tip if you ever go re-veg a plant: let them finish the process. I can see the monster growth of lots of micro budsites developping in the canopy. Hopefully with enough time they will develop into a sea of chunky danky goodness. The lights I put a little higher, for saey, while Im adjusting the dimmer to full, to let them acclimatise to the full light. No light points yet after two days, not even the leafs curling up like in the beginning. Some things go well...

Hello, This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. I completely forgot about reporting last week. Got the roof re-shingled and they finished on Tue and I chopped fire wood when they left. Chopped for 3 days and on Sat. I couldn't remember if I reported... so I had to look... I hadn't... Oh well.. Got 3 weeks left to go and this is the last week for nutrients. I'll give a couple of weeks of ph adjusted tap water only, before harvest. Yes... I still like to flush... For better taste. I've tried growing right up to harvest before and was disappointed with the pot. Or had to harvest early, because of pests, and didn't flush. I could taste the nutrients left in the plant tissue. Have you ever tried the ash test to see how clean your pot is? When you smoke a joint, the ash at the end is supposed to be white and fall off the end easily, for the cleanest cannabis. It always takes 2 weeks flushing, for me, to get that good white ash. If your ash is gray... that's not too bad, if it falls off easily. But if it's dark gray with black streaks in it and is stiff and has to be pushed off the end of the joint, then it will probably taste bad too and has too much nutrient left in it... Have you ever smoked a joint and had it sizzle and soft pop (not like a seed pop) It has too much nutrient left in the plant Try your own test (smoke a joint) to see how your pot stacks up. OK. The plants have been flushing for almost a week now. Really starting to change colors. I can't wait to see how much I get from them.

I would believe this variety again ... I think it could be better ... and do not make some mistakes in it ... I recommend it to all growers ...

Day 84 The Durban plants are actively growing foliage and reaching for the light, despite being bent. Every day after the lights go out, I bend their tops parallel to the floor (training). Sometimes the stems break slightly, but they are still flexible enough to recover. In 2-3 weeks, I plan to transplant them to a permanent location, where there will be 20-30 cm of space above the tops for ventilation. In the next cycle, I think four weeks of vegetation will be enough for ripening. At Gordem Delicatesies (GD), Brazilians have stretched in 20 weeks, sometimes faster. For me, this variety develops more slowly; I'm not chasing maximum speed. Meanwhile, the Jack Herer is ripening in the box above them. I'm waiting for a manicure table (thanks to Mila for the tip!). As soon as it arrives, I'll start harvesting. I'm glad that with this device I can meet the deadlines precisely. Day 87 They hit a lamp and set one top on fire. The others miraculously survived. Today I tied the plants to their pots again with wire. I bent them so they were 10-15 cm from the lamp. Some were tighter. I cut out a 5-liter bag containing the lower branches, which were turning yellow from lack of light, and the leaves the plant had shed on its own. Watering was light but regular. I watered 3 liters by hand on top of the automatic watering. I added 1.5 liters of Simplex Taste and 1.5 liters of Simplex Aroma Punch. I started adding Simplex SilliX again—organic silicon is needed to strengthen the stems. Right now they look rather stiff; they bend easily by hand. This is a plus in my situation, but in a couple of weeks I want to see stronger, more vigorous central colas in the box. Mold was appearing on the dry leaves at the bottom that I didn't remove in time. I took out all the bushes and carefully removed all the dry and yellow leaves. I chose the ones that came off without effort. Their plant has already finished growing. After this procedure, the fan was able to blow air through the base, meaning less mold. Young buds are ripening on both plants, about 1 cm in diameter. The upper leaves and flowers are healthy; they were eating the lower burdock leaves. It's interesting to watch the biofertilizer from Greens work. I'll add Simplex Mass and Simplex Power separately in the next few days. And after that, HB-101. I'll water with Fitosporin at least once. I also want to add "33 Bogatyrs" bacteria – @NBRZ recommended it. Once a week, I manually pour a liter of solution with Simplex Taste (very similar to horse manure from the garden) and Simplex Aroma Punch – a potassium-sulfur additive to enhance aroma and flavor.

Creciendo fuerte, muy bella planta

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. I enjoyed this plant a lot, its grew well and loved how it was shorter and fatter. I wonder if it was at the dame distance from the plant if It could have done even more. Had some issues with the yellowing that was happening on the other plant in this tent. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and it may have hurt the yields a bit. The top best looking buds looked and smelled amazing even the lower buds where doing well not so larfy like the other plant. There was crazy strong smells with this plant, sour berries and hints of lemon, it was a best smelling plant I have grown to date. This would be a great plant to grow for beginners, cant take a lot of stress and still produces quite well and even on lower wattage leds it was good. It was not the most crystally looking plant, not like the maltezerz but still had some finger hash buildup but a small amount. I feel this plant would be a winner for a rosin press. I don't plan on growing this strain out again despite me liking a lot of qualities about it. I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. Only some of the lower growth is larfy, will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 4.57oz or 129.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷ 129.6g = 2.60 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 129.6g = 0.28c/g It cost 28c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. I dropped these seeds into a bowl of water overnight. In this case about 8 hours. I then planted .75" deep into wet soil on 4/24/24. I prefer moist soil but we had a rain the previous evening. Outdoors you plan for the weather but you don't know with certainty what nature will throw at you. There's a lot of rain in the forecast. I'm gambling that there'll be less actual rain. I want to get these girls more veg time so there's the trade off. I didn't fill these short pots completely full of soil. The idea is that less soil will dry faster if we get loads of rain. Once we get a stand, I'll add soil topping these pots off. Prayers going up for good planting weather and hoping for a fine stand of Wedding Cheesecake 🌱🌞🚀🎂. We've had lots of rain on the night of the 25th and all day 26th. It was cloudy and humid all day on the 27th but we missed the rain. The 28th we have rain most of the day. Two of three popped on the 28th and the third on the 29th. I dug up a few inches of soil around these to loosen it up and let some air get in. Hopefully that will counter this rain and drizzle on their birthday 🎂🎈 These girls came out fine and are turning up to get some sun. Fastbuds really do handle stressful outdoor conditions better. That's why they're my go to for outdoor fems.

Fastbuds Auto Update – Week 7 One of the autos is really standing out already — beautiful frosty buds forming and an amazing fruity aroma filling the space! 🍓✨ It’s definitely the star of the group so far. I had to switch the light schedule down to 12/12 because I’m running a shared space with my photoperiod plants. This caused a bit of a step back in their growth pace. ⏳ Honestly, if I had kept them at 18 hours of light, I think they’d be much closer to harvest by now. 🌞. Still, they’re pushing through nicely, and I’m excited to see how these buds fatten up over the next weeks! 💪🌿

Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! Might have waited too long but hopefully the transplant and LST stress might slow the plant down since i think it's already flipping to flower like the other @SweetSeeds Dark Devil Auto and the Purple Lemonade from @FastBuds. I think the Red Poison might have been the first one I noticed to flip but at least this one will be quick. More and more reasons to go back to a photoperiod grow after this for more control/really test out the new lights 🙌 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 The Red Poison Auto is going strong other wise, keeping the LST basic to see if I can still get the screen in the tent but it wouldn't be practical at this point. I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. Just like the Dark Devil in my other Sweet Seeds diary, there is a solid smell on the fingers after adjusting it/when the fan hit it just right 😍 I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Some of it shown in the pictures. El sabado 14/9 arranco una nueva semana de floracion. Se regó con 6 litros de agua con ph 6.3 Las plantas se ven sanas y las flores engordando. No se observan plagas, tampoco carencias ni excesos. 17/9 se rego con 8 litros de agua con ph 6.3

17/8/2024 As the weekend starts so does the extra training. It's time to put the net on top and fill in the rest of the colas. The temperature is really high outside and she is on 80w. I hope it will get cooler soon and I'll be able to slowly crank to 100w.
