📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. One more week up wee go , and dude are they going hehehe , i had some life to my room and im giving the stretch times but asap i will apply deep and hard defoliation with should be enough until almost the end of cycle. And defoliation day came and with it a second net to help support future buds, i was gona go harder on them but lol im happy with the new haircut lol Gave them a strong full feeding with it and had some conditioner to my soil to help braking death mater and also gave them nome nematodes to fight fungus nets larvas and help control the life on my soil. For now thats all im doing , i will keep monitoring this fungus net and springtails etc that came with the time of the year and with the fact that im growing fully mineral organic . Day 70 ..... lookin good.... she stable in flower now... neuts good, and stable... got her into a beautiful rutinue for the rest of the flower..... really happy with how it's going, she has a long flower 65-70 days i think.... thats 8-10 weeks in flower, so maybe 4-6weeks to go (6-20 dec) ........ she's going to be alot of work but will be well worth it, tasted her alittle, just the trim that had to come off, was enough to taste..... (dried the trim, curin in jar, try to add pic if i remember, lol) was a new experience goin thru the difficulties of transition to flower in dwc iws system ....... listed general nuets that i am using, however the 1-2 lt mix i put in every day or 2 is mixed up at the time, and is specific every time to ensure the tank remains at 5.8-6.4 ph-1-2k ppm.... i've stopped using the ppm meter for accuracy and use it only to get a general reading... in fact the ph meter and ec/ppm meters are not really workin properly any more, lol the blood bone and all the different stuff that i'm using puts alot of the readings as false/wrong ..... i can see where a nido system would be handy, maybe if i had the cash.... i gotta do all this the old fashioned way... elbow grease, hard work... haha this is some crazy news... random unknown mazar in that iws dwc pot... it's female as of the 2 hairs i saw this morning.... haha... so i'm thinkin, i may be able to put the mazar and ssh in main tent with all resources used.... that would put both mazar and ssh in iws dwc perfect pots in perfect conditions with max light and resources..... might do that, it would increase both flowering plants to 280 W leds... .... the reason mentioned this is because i can see she needs more light, the coloured light panels are poor quality cheapo..... gotta get my home made kick azz lights back in there.... lol 👍😎👊

Moving along nicely. Plants are looking nice and healthy. No issues just trying to get a few more weeks in before harvest time. Weather will be in the 80s-90s this week

Week 14 Day 98 Almost time, leaves yellowing, drinking slow, white pistols starting to orange and shrink, bottom buds getting bigger, & small amount of amber trichomes starting to appear. Giving the larger two only full tilt nutes before flushing. Keeping the smallest on extended bloom time.

Hello everyone, what's up? 🙂 Week 17 and that's cool because last year my plant was finished by this age (harvested middle of October) and had to deal with cold environment, bugs and budrot. This year I'm sooner for flowering, had a longer vegative stage wich means more growth and bigger buds and I can/will (hopefully) harvest during first week of October. I'm aiming for 10 weeks of flowering. A good week, nice development on the buds, a stronger smell and I think I see some cola's already fattening up. This is the same I saw last year around week 5 to 6 of flowering. I think I'm halfway through the process by now. I'm still doubting to give some green sensation. Not so organic anymore then haha. I will give water in 2 days, the pot still doesn't feel very light so she can go on for some time with the moist in the soil. Then I will check PH values and give very light feeding. I'm not going to give more then 2ml alga bloom on 1 liter of water. More supporting nutrients then overfeeding 🙂 The weather is giving me a hard time here again. Some good days, some rainy days and at night always temperatures between 10°-15° Celsius. I put her inside in the garden house or inside in the backroom for the dark hours or when the 3 weather apps I have installed tell me there is rain coming up😅 This is not always easy to accomplish with my working hours (early, late and night shifts shedule) I like to have some sleep too 😁 All good so far. Nous sommes à la 6ème semaines tout ce passe bien jusqu'à présent. Les princesses sont trop lourdes ceci dit ajout d'un filet pour soutenir tout ça. Fin semaine6 diminution des doses pour ajouter bloombastic a 0,1/L.

I’m using KIS organic a soil with fermented inputs and water soluble calcium, I’m using a KNF bloom and FPJ for nitrogen, and aloe for vitamins, and humic and amino acids. NO chemical fertilizers

160 days of life harvested on day 63 of flower. I don’t have photos of her vegging but she started off great. About two weeks in, she started having some major issues. Her leaves started atrophying, curling up at the borders, growing 3 finger leaves, all new growth was deformed and twisted and growth in general almost stopped completely, to what I suspect was from broad mites. These fuckers are nasty! I dm’d my local grow shop and tried out some Neem Oil. I diluted it in water like they recommended and sprayed that baby every day for one week, then every other day the following week, then down to once a week. I sprayed her leaves stem and surface of the soil. I also cleaned the entire grow space with some bleach solution. Doing this allowed her to really bounce back, growth started to take off again! So I vegged for a few more weeks and trained her as much as I could to keep her uniform but short, she responded well to this. During flower, she was very happy. I had two main issues during this time, one was being too hot in Nitrogen and a week of very hot temperatures which burned her a slight bit, although she didn’t seem to mind much. I also could’ve continued a once a week spray of Neem oil because I think they might’ve started to come back on the lower and younger leaves that weren’t getting much light. Overall it was a dope grow and hope to do better on the next one!

The girl is getting bigger and stronger, she grows beautifully, the branches have grown all over the box. Like her sisters, I will give her PH Down from Jungle Indabox next week - the nutrients I use will be given to this girl as a precaution so that the PH does not increase. Keep it up 😍

F week 5. Leaves got brown spots and are dry. I think my light was too close and maybe some cal-mag issue too. I lifted light higher and changed the nutes in the reservoir. Let's see if that helps.
