Week 10, so from today I stopped watering the Gelato Cookie D'ohpe and on Saturday no more light as well. Sunday is harvest day finally. Not much changed, I raised up the water with 25ml so the Purple Punch gets 200ml 2 x a day. That's all, since last week I started giving 13 hours darkness and 11 hours light and from Monday will be 12/12 after I harvested the Gelato Cookie D'ohpe and I can use the tent only for her. Fertilization will happen on the same days. Sunday fun day, Gelato Cookie D'ohpe is harvested. Purple Punch left alone. From tomorrow I will switch the light schedule 12/12. End of the week Purple Punch is 43 cm.

Hot damn this is a pretty plant. Enormous fan leaves, tight nodes, and LOTS of em. This plant continues to impress, however, some of her daughters are blowing past her in height, surprisingly. Room is on point, mother is happy and healthy. 55 days or so till harvest:)

Hi guys, just a quick info for whoever read this diary: I started this run with two plants but during Week 9 (57 days: 49 vegetative + 8 flowering) I had to remove the one on the right due slow growth (issue started after I topped her). Enjoy the reading. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Third run begins. 🍪🍦Cookies Gelato by RQS, my first time with photoperiods. I created this diary at the end of January but due some problem with the new drip system (too ph oscillations), I decided to go back to my first love: the DWC. This time, however, I decided to build my own DWC, taking into account the negative aspects that I find in the expensive DWC of various brands. This tank has about 50 liters capacity and on the bottom I have inserted a metal tap that will help me with the solution changes. The lid is made up of two parts, the upper one on which I made a hole in which I inserted a 2 liter planter full of expanded clay and the two root riot; the front part of the lid is magnificent because it opens and allows me to do a quick check of PH and EC. This time I'm going to count the days from the germination date. I'm going to VEG for about 40 days, then switch to 12/12 for about 70 days. I plan on topping the plants during week 4, then defoliation + SCROG during week 5, switch 12/12 during week 6. Then lollipopping at the end of the stretch. In this run I will use my new MARS HYDRO TS1000 2022 (already have one with 2021 MOSO driver), bought a few days ago to test the latest model with the proprietary Mars Hydro driver. I'm sure there will be further improvement in my performance 💪. No sponsor for me yet, what I have is what I bought but I hope someone can help me to bring my crops to the next level. I'm planning to buy a new 90x90 tent and a nice 300/480 watt lamp would be very nice. Crossed fingers! 🤞 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱GERMINATION STAGE🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 - 20/2/23: seeds in a glass of demineralized water, 2 drops of rootbastic and 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours, then in root riot; - 21/2/23: seeds under TS1000: 100 cm distance / 33% dimmer = 50 watt; - 22/2/23: first Cookies Gelato sprouted; - 23/2/23: second Cookies Gelato sprouted. - Got some gift from RQS, really appreciated. I'll consider tomorrow as 1° day of veg for all 2 seedlings. I'll switch 'em to 12/12 after 40/45 days of veg.

overall was great to grow and for it being my second grow I'm so glad how well it turned out some of the frostiest buds I've seen or smoked.

Week 2

Plants are doing well, no bird attacks and taking off in growth. I'm happy with the progress and will be starting the liquid feed next week. First time using TripTonic branded nutrients, should be straight forward as long as I keep my numbers in check. Will be feeding once or twice a week and the rest will be just water.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. This grow cycle was one of my best from start to finish I had 5 females 4 of which were brilliant all shown colour all fruity gassy and amazing only the one was bland and green in colour and smelt different really good nug atructure but the smell wasn't there for me ... this is around my fifth grow and I'll be running these strains again to get it down to one pheno of these genetics
