Will update as soon as seed pops. Looking forward to growing this by Royal Queen Seeds. Always great genetics.
6/04/18 - Day 3 and she's looking vibrant and healthy. Recent just transplanted her in a 30L pot. Light soil mix with perlite. Wont be feeding any nutrients for first few weeks or so depending on she gets on.
Also on youtube now so will be doing full update vlogs, link on my page. If this is what you want to see comment and let me know.
Day 9: Watering 0.5l every 2 or so days when medium is dry.
Old Instagram account got reported so follow the new one please people.. IG: flavours_uk
Will be posting updates and doing videos from Youtube. Follow the link in my profile if you'd like to follow along.
Day 11: Increased air flow and she's taking in more water. About 0.75-1L Every 2-3 Days. No nutrients.
Minor de leafing to expose growth shoots. Day 26 and already 28cm tall maybe a little more, rather go under than over. She is growing super quick and the best part is I've used no nutrients, just my secret garden ingredient. Definitely will have flipped her to flower by day 28 (Week 5). Nice thick stems, big leafs and sturdy. -Stay Tuned.
Day 16 (18/05/18) - So I gave her a hair cut today as I know she's soon to go into full flowering over the next couple days. Some of you might think I'm crazy but I've a great success rate doing this and you'll see the difference it makes once she bounces back in the next few days. It was done to allow more light through the canopy so I get better quality and size buds as she had some really big fan leaves blocking bud sites. I'm going leave her to recover for a little while and may supercrop if needed although I don't think she will. Growing nicely but not as quick as the purple queen which has very vigorous growth.
Messed up my light schedule slightly due to being in hospital but don't think its affected her much.
Stay tuned as she will soon be producing some beautiful flowers! Peace all
Fat banana looking better, weird looking bud structure.. mainly small dense nugs. It’s day 66 and she’s been in flush for 4 days. Looking to give her another week or two at least. Stay posted guys. Thanks for following along.
She’s been in flush around 15 Days now, nothing super heavy. Lower leaves starting to fade slightly and she’s still fattening up. Will let her start to fade before I decide on doing anything at all. Her trichomes are mainly cloudy with an amber here and there.
She’s fattened up nicely and in full flush mode. Been in flush around 16 Days but nothing heavy until today. I wanted her to fatten up a bit before giving her some heavy flushes before she gets the chop. Not long now.
Heat wave is over. Fat banana coming along nicely now, still getting fat. Purple/blue hue to the tips of some of her caylax’s. Her buds are glistening, without any camera flash. Her smell is pure bliss, can’t put an exact description on it, but tropical comes to mind. Just waiting to see those hairs recede some more and a little fade. Thanks for following along and stay tuned for the update!
So fat banana finally got the chop. Started off well then had an influx of heat around mid flower, not a major problem as I dealt with it, just could have gone smoother. She flew through veg with no problems or complaints whatsoever. She was resilient and would grow her again. She smells so loud, covered in frost.. I have a few more pictures of the chop to upload but will do it in a little while. Such a unique scent from her, definitely tropical and banana peel type of aroma and taste(from test smoke). Been a pleasure to grow and can honestly say its some tasty smoke. Will do a proper smoke report after this batch has dried and then cured. Thanks for tuning in! Will be back -FlavoursUk
There’s a few things I’d personally change if I was to grow fat Banana again. But this time round she was very resistant to high temperatures and humidity during Flower. She holds on to nitrogen so I’d definitely feed her less on the nutrients as she is a light feeder.
