First full on flower week for these, they seem really f-ing quick for some reason, maybe it's the smart protein ... At this rate i'm gonna have an august harvest fully 12 weeks from seed lol, i'm not holding my breath because i'm realistic, but that would be f-ing nice as shit lol anyway i'm just following these ladies' cycle and giving some flower nutrients as well as some flower specific micro , had some bioflo around so just used that - didnt really over think this one, i'm just enjoying the show, sneaked into their room while they were sleeping to snap some pics , pretty dramatic with the lighting , hope you enjoy these ! Week 4 of little Guava. She is finally speeding up a bit, but the weather was still far from good. Very cloudy at day, too cold at night – so she still was allowed to sleep inside. When it's raining she can hide under a table, but it's not ideal. Started to slowly feed her a bit, seems to take it well. Hoping for betten weather now.

Day 65, 17th of November 2020: Welcome back at the beggining of the 3rd week of flowering. They seem to be stopped streching and now concentrating on buds. All of them are gorgeous..... The 2 Zamnesia genetics Gelato and Kalini Asia are pretty and buds are forming nicely. Kalini Asia might strech a bit more but not long. The Sweet Seed ones are really nice and I am so happy because Red Hot Cookies is already getting red.... pistils and around the leaves.. I hope the same happens to the Red Mandarine and Tropicanna Poison also. They are so gorgeous. They calmed down I don't expect more strech. Fertilization still the same every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. Some lollipopping (Defoliation) is also done. I removed all the LST the plant remains in the same shape from now. The lamp is on 11.30 min and off 12.30 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -30 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.30 pm.

This week the nice flowering continues. I bought a new light in China, Samsung LM301H 240W so I added it into my grow tent. The weak plant is probably destroyed and the yield will be very small.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Ph problems. Having difficulty monitoring ph . Not been much around to watch plant about a week or 2 . Aero garden set up a lil bit difficult to get into reservoir to check ph daily. Going to change system to deep water culture RDWC.

Since last week she’s only grown a Mear half an inch and has slowed down considerably! Could of been the hydro/coco nutes or could just be one of them things that happen ya know as the rest are fine and growing at fast paces and all have been treated the same and fed the same etc! But yeah some plants react different to nutrients and yes wrong nute formulas can do this as I’m testing the theory on an auto I started outside that’s now inside on its own and it’s showing so many problems so I get to highly suggest no one makes the mistake of thinking it’s ok to use them! I only ended up using them due to being Mis sod over a counter and I expected without reading it to be what I’d asked for! But we’re here and lessons are learned! But she’s smelling so sweet and tasty already and well my purple couskush was a little slow then boomed and ended up being the biggest yielder so we’ll see! But either way I think I have another zammi in the mystery mix DOSIDOS it’s either that or purple punch! I’m just waiting to see! 😌

Day 64 - Starting week 10 and she is getting sticky and stinky. I did a pretty decent defoliation tonight, just to try and get some of the undergrowth going. The way she’s going, she might only have 2-3 weeks left but I have plenty of meds right now so I’m not in any sort of rush. I see ZERO signs of any sort of nute burns so I’m really starting to like the new nutes and so easy to mix. Day 65 - Looking great right right now and went ahead and lowered the lights a bit, they’re now about 12” above the canopy. I had 3 other grows going on but for the second time in a couple months the wife left the tent open this morning and didn’t check before she left the room and one of our cats was in there and they destroyed my 3 little ones but left this and my Sour Raspberry Kush alone so deciding what to start next. She’s good on water until the weekend sometime. Day 66 - Ended up having to give her about a gallon and a half of water tonight, she ended up drinking up what was left I guess. The lights being about 12” away seem to be doing her good and not bothering her at all. Day 68 - Man oh man, she is frosty as hell and smells really sweet. By the looks of trichs and pistils, I’m probably gonna give her two more weeks until she gets chopped. If she needs longer, I’ll give her more time but I think 2 weeks should be plenty. She drank a ton of water so she might need more either Sunday or Monday. Day 69 - She’s definitely ready for some more water but gonna hold off for another day, just to let her dry up a bit more. I’m gonna do another defoliation tomorrow as well and she should be good to go till the end. Day 70 - She was ready for water today and gave her another feeding of nutes. This will be the last one and next watering I’ll flush with the Sledgehammer and she’ll just get water until she’s done. She is so damn frosty and sweet smelling, she’s gonna be a pain in the ass to trim.
