Well she has definitely stopped growing now. I got a bit of light bleaching on a few tops unfortunately. Should have turned the light down to 80% but I wasn't thinking. Hopefully itll bounce back like my chempie by Ripper seeds I did a few grows back that got a bit of light bleaching also. It was just on one bud but I caught it and was able to correct it before crop. Going to add a bit of Revive to the feed next week to see if it'll help a bit. Also had a issue with high ppm in my run off that I was struggling with a bit that I've slowly corrected. Been a bit of a learning curve with the coco but I'm loving it. Great results all around. It's almost finishing time 😎 This girl is beautiful and the nugs look like pillows. This FastBuds variety is much smaller than the RQS version but the nugs look very different to each other. Check out my other diary and see what you think. Next week I will flush and then harvest 😀

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Runtz Auto Week 5 2/2-2-8 Runtz Automatic is in flower and are stretching like crazy. At the beginning of the week, she was 6 inches tall, Wed 9 and today 2/7 she is 15 inches tall. Doubled in height. I’ve moved the pins out to the edge of the pot. For future training, I must add some wires through the pot holes to keep the branches lower. I’ve spread the top out and a few limbs are taller than the others. I reduced nutrients in the feed solution since Runtz and Pink Rozay are showing some purples/blues in the leaves. I added Green Sensation this week then read the instructions said add in 4th week flower. Runtz Auto is supposed to be an 11 week flower from seed to harvest. If I wait till the 4th week, it will only be used for 2 maybe 3 weeks. Would that benefit the plant? So I think I will add some each time but a 25% strength. Calls for 4ml/g I will use 1ml. They are autos and I should be lowering the nutes anyway. Pinned more branches and lightly defoliatied. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/5 4 gal prep, each nutrient added at ½ of recommended amount. Making 4 gallons since I have 2 pots of carrots and Dill in the back. Probably need to do some cleanup here soon. She's getting very bushy but I'm maintaining a level canopy, the outside shoots are catching up to the centers and I will let her grow about 6-8", clean up the bottom and flip to flower, maybe 2 to 3 weeks left in veg 1/1/23 - cleaned her up a lot, took out lots of shoots that will never see the top light and spread out the canopy. Very square shape.

it was a super week, the girls grew nicely, the full moon is always effective. :) I like to grow cannabis.

8/7 Plants were still heavy this morning. Temperatures have been much milder. 70's is much better than 90's. I had to water twice a day for a while. I defoliated ahind found some heat stress ob the gmo canary on the end with some twisted leaves. Some leaves are turning purple on an event horizon and gmo. Night Temps are much cooler plus its probably a pheno thing. I defoliated everything dead yesterday. Found lacewind eggs. Saw an adult green lace wing this morning in the garden along with a couple more lady bugs. There were also some lady bug larvae so I hope the go right to town. It's getting cooler so if I'm going to poorly I need to do it. Sherb pie plant seems to he the pillars favorite. I've killed a few of them. Still need to fix supports and do a little more defoliation. I have a video too but it's too slow to upload now. STOPPED AFTER GETTING MY TIRES PUT ON AND DAD SAID THE LITTLE PLANT IN THE 5 GAL BUCKET IS DROOPING. I WENT BACK AND OF COURSE IT WAS. I CHECKED OUT THE LITTLE PLANT AND NOTICED MULTIPLE BUDSUTES DIEING. I ALSO SAW WHAT "COULD'VE" BEEN A MALE PREFLOWER. MY INTUITION TOLD ME TO GET RID OF IT. ITS LESS THAN A BRANCH OFF THE CROP IT COULD HARM. LUCKILY I HAD BAGGED IT UP BEFORE IT BEIBG REMOVED AND IT WAS FAIRLY WELL SEPERATED. AFTER CUTTING AND DISPOSING OF IT I BROUGHT THE BUCKET TO EMPTY. IT WAS EXTREMELY ROOTBOUND. THE ROOTS WERE WHITE EXCEPT THE ONES ON THE OUTSIDE WHICH WERE A NEON GREEN. THE INSIDE OF THE BUCKET HAD WHAT LOOKED LIJE GREEN ALGAE ON IT. I IMAGINE THAYS PROBABLY WHERE MY PROBLEMS CAME FROM. I'VE USED THIS BUCKET SECERAL TIMES AND IVE SEEN TJIS TYPE OF ALGAE BUT USUALLY ONCE I SANITIZE ITS GOOD TO GO. IM NOT SURE IF IT WAS BEING ROOTBOUND OR THE ALGAE THAT DID IT IN BUT I HAVE MUCH BETTER SPACING NOW. THIS WAS THE RIGHT DECISION. I COULDNT BEAR THE RHOUGHT OF MY GIRLS GETTING POLLINATED. Only problem I can see is some septoria looking spits on the toasted toffy and one gmo looks like itscrunning through nutrients quicker than others. Dad said he thinks this is my best year. He said they're more full and healthier looking. I looked at my diary last year and I had plants over the top of the cage. The weren't as bushy but I'm not complaining. These are far more indica dominant than last year so that's probably part of it. Leaves on the event horizons are starting to turn purple. I'll update what I do. I defoliated what needed it and combed through the plants hunting pillars. I GUESS I FORGOT TO UPDATE THIS OR IT DIDNT SAVE. I BOUGHT A WATERING CAN THAT HOLDS A GALLON AND A HALF AND EMPRIED VERY QUICKLY IN SMALL STREAMS SO IT DOESNT HURT THE ROOTS. GREAT INVESTMENT. It has been 6 weeks of flowering , this week specifically I have seen a lot of changes in the buds development. The ph and the ppm level of the reservoir is fluctuating very much. The PH drops to around 5.3 and PPM was reaching 1800 . The best way to solve this is probably to add plain water into the reservoir to balance the PH and the PPM level. This lady sure loves to produce sugar leaves , i defoliate loads of leaves but the leafs doesn't seem to stop growing out from the buds. I decreased the amount of light per day , I am giving her 11.30 hours of light instead of 12 hrs . I checked light leaks again but still pretty sure that it is not the problem here . The nutes supplier told me to increase the ratio of Superbud blue bud and superbud orange bud so that it can enhance the bud development . This week i got some new nutes from my bro "Master Mine" which i will try out on my next run . PS . Sorry for the high light exposure in the video , i was playing around with my new DJI osmo pocket . Any ideas on how long she's going to take until she's done?
