Last week of feed for this lady :) Update end of week nine , Well the bud production this week has been absolutely crazy , She has now slowed right down on her feeding too , so the flush begins , she still needs too cloud up and go amber but she will have enough nutrients in her and the soil too last her until she ripens , she really has been a joy too watch grow and develop , I would not think twice about growing this strain ,

Super stoked for last week, watching her flower is pretty incredible, so from pretty much week 9 of veg up till now I've been feeding her half strength base nutrients with fluctuating strengths of sensizym and Cal-Mag always mixed with 8L of basic filtered water. Update January 5 2020. Back from my fishing trip! Happy to say that everything with the durban is going swimmingly, I fed her today 8L with half strength base nutrients and half strength of sensizym. I will probably do one more feeding with sensizym and call it good.. in two-three weeks I will start adding my Overdrive nutrients to my base. January 11 update: Not much going. Just playing the waiting game now. January 13 update: its gotten really cold here, like -37 with wind so I put a ceramic heat emitter back in, now back up to 250w heat running 24/7. Growing in an unheated shop is definitely a challenge! But with the other one in things are picking up and shits drying out finally. Should have put the other heater back in a week ago. My bad. January 15 update: -37!! Holy fu*ck, fed her 3L of mixed nutrients at half strength. With just a splash of overdrive. January 17 update: outside temps finally warming up to -25°c yay!! Inside grow box temps up to 28°c she likes it warm, Fed her the remaining food I had mixed up, she got about 5L. Seeing fattening of the bud sites👀👌 January 19 update: No idea when this happened but it did.. got a crack right at first top. Now I know to leave more of stem above where it splits off into two. Quick tape fix till I figure it out, fed her 5L of mixed food with just under full strength OverDrive and some organic growth plus.. it has a high pk so I'm using it once. More updates to follow. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Steady week, all the girls seem to just keep getting bigger and bigger! Defoliated which I forgot to take pictures of however, they literally replaced the foliage in days! I Have a slight worry about one of the GG as she seems to be carrying on vegging with no real signs of flowering, just stretching more each day!? This seems strange as the Stardawgs look like they could be ready for flush in the coming weeks.. I am only a newbie so maybe i'm just been a little paranoid!? Either way She's absolutely massive!! Got the Dawgs out for a little photoshoot!

Straw-Lectric Lemonade-STRNG Seed W10 F1 01/11-17 These strawberry collection gals are taking off like rockets during this early stretch. Cadillac1 and S. Trop Cherry 2 have grown at least 15 inches this week. I cannot push them to the edge anymore. Pics show them pressed up against the light. What to do? My hubby suggested cutting them off-you should have seen the look I gave him. I decided to do more super cropping of the tallest branches. These girls were 56 and 57 inches from the soil to their tops. As tall as me but an additional 15inches due to the pot. I tried to bend the stem by about 10inches, so the tops are about the same as the other plants in the tent. Fingers crossed they slow down. Since the dots did not arrive before the transplant, I decided to use TPS1 and start during the first week of flower. That’s now. The mix for early bloom is as follows: TPS1 14ml/g Silica Gold 3ml/g I needed to add 3ml/g of Calmag to raise the pH after accidentally lowering it too much. 1/10 66.5F, 6.22 ph & 1023 ppm 1/14 70.3F, 6.42 ph & 1007 ppm Pics 1/11 !st flower week defoliation and lollipop for all the Strawberry collection. 1/16 More super cropping of Cadillac1 and 1st time Trop Cherry2. General observations: I usually use Air pots but these can be messy when water squirts out the side holes. I decided to use the 5Gal fabric pots AC Infinity provided when I got the tent. The fabric pots hold moisture longer than the air pots and since I have to water with at least a gallon, the humidity increases to 85%. This is way out of range for early bloom. Also, the ventilation fan increases to 10 which is very loud and only helps a small bit. I noticed that after defoliation the RH came down to the upper 60%. Not optimal but better. I should have defoliated in week 3 of veg to reduce the humidity in early flower. The only time my environment is optimal is when it’s close to the next watering day. Then it goes right back up after watering. It has been very cold here and the tent temperature barely gets above 73f. Increasing the tent temperature would help the VPD. When the plants were touching the lights, I held the lights at 80%. Day 37 Great growing this orange sherbert by @fastbud420. This week is starting to really get into flowering, i think will stretch à lot. At least i hope. Need à lot of feeding. Trying to get as much light is possible to flower but i defoliate being really carefull. Day 42, last two days stretching became really fast, as results i think that needs a lot more nutrients i’ll increase bio grow from 1(as schedule) to 3 ml/lt, and i’ll stop Top max as i started big bud and i don’t want too many salts to accumulate into the soil. On day 1 I changed out my reservoir, and added my bloom nutes, adjusted my light schedule to 12/12 and defoliated the plants. I adjusted the reservoirs PH to 6.1 My hope is that by flipping this cultivar earlier than my last run, I will not run out of vertical space ;). On day 2 I adjusted my reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 3 the clawing is almost completely gone. I adjusted the reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 4 the reservoir's PH is at 6.1. I defoliated the plants removing anything blocking lower growth to increase light and air penetration of my mains. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir up from 6.0 to 6.3. I will let the PH drift between 6.1-6.3. on day 7 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. I lowered the light intensity from 100% to 85% to give the top of my plant canopy an average PPFD of 700-1000. I plan to reduce the intensity as the plants continue to stretch to keep them in the 800-1000 PPFD range. I just got my first quantum par sensor and I'm really loving the new data it gives me to optimize my lighting.

This week was spent just tying down branches and keeping the soil moist. Also switched out my light to the bigger version ( ES300)

we are in the 10th week and in the 5th week of flowering. she has grown a lot more buds and her scent is overworldly and very intense. the trichomes are mostly milky and one or two are already amber. i think i will give her another week and then harvest. i don't want any couch puscher weed.

These came down 11 weeks to the day from seed , this is them on their last day here. Wet weight is 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 was not expecting so much, it will last me HOURS ! these got wet trimmed now they're on the mat drying , the smell is typical american sweet candy ... was it fun? yes , yes it was fun ! what a plant this one is, my tallest one at 100cm, averaging 85cm , wet weight is.... gonna wait for dry weight, before i jinx it could be dense could be loose ! looks dense + not expecting to loose more than 50% it's all in the cure now ! 🚀
