She was always thirsty! She drank almost as much as my 10ft tall plant & she was under 2ft tall?! Handled LST very well. She had an abundance of leaves which looked like a beautiful canna-bush growing but come trim time ugh not so much. Her leaves started turning darker purple the last two weeks, making her even prettier! She was only 14 inches tall (LST) & wound up having 65 bud sites.

Alright, so this girl is a little slow and she seems brittle, but i've just introduced some silica, so hopefully she beefens up a little.. Very unusual plant as you could see... thank you too @Grow4Releaf for the bean.. God bless everybody and Merry Christmas Christmas 🎄 🙏

September 25 > Harvest at dawn for the big girl. The usual routine... except I shot a time-lapse video this time to play with the camera I won last year. Clipped the top buds first - then the base. Took me 2 hours to wash all that -rinse - repeat. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting summer with this pair of girls. I learned that I don't really need a container larger than 10 gallons in order to grow very large plants (in my neck of the woods anyway). Now when I say large I mean how much space they take up on my patio. I'm allowed to grow 6 legally but 4 eats up pretty much the whole patio. And the reality is I don't need to grow plants that large. The outdoor yield will last well into next year for me and everybody I know. So next summer I plan to do much more serious pruning to limit the scope and shape of the girls I grow outdoors. I also learned that I don't need an inverted tomato cage style support if my container is larger than 5 gallons. The Durban I grew last summer was in a 5 gallon container and there's not enough weight in there to keep her grounded. Once up to 10 gallons you won't want to lift the container much and there's enough weight in there to keep things stable. At the moment I've listed 450g as a dry weight for both plants (updated to 458g final). I haven't actually weighed the 2nd plant yet and won't even trim her for about a week or so (I'll be back to update diary). The first girl came in at 235 grams. I got pretty ruthless throwing away small budlets and trim this morning as it took me 4 hours to take this big girl down and wash her up. That's only because I spent half a day yesterday trimming Cream & Cheese and moving Northern Lights around... and it's been over 95 degrees both days... so I'm ready for a rest. Cannabis harvesting is not easy labor. Diary note > There was a software malfunction a week or so back and I was unable to add a new flowering week, whereupon it was determined there was a limit of 26 weeks at that time... so I didn't add any more weeks after that until the harvest week. When I added the harvest week, it appears the malfunction had been corrected because I COULD HAVE added a new flowering week at that time. I think there's only a week missing. Differences can be noted with dates on the photos. If I had a problem this summer it's because I was too anxious to get going after a long winter nursing shoulder surgery and I didn't pay proper attention to the lighting ramifications when the instructions were there for me, and subsequently started too early. Next year I plan for an early crop of auto flowers to keep me occupied until the proper time for a regular crop. --------------------------------------- September 30 > Trimming and processing complete. I really manhandled the big girl with the Trimbag, largely because I knew I was gonna have a pound of herb on my hands (way more than I will personally consume) and I wanted to minimize my hand trimming. So when I say manhandled here, I mean I ran it through the process TWICE, using about 40 rotations/spins each time. It probably would have helped to be a tad drier, but we're entering a cool spell now and we've run out of time. Mother Nature has decided to turn off the heater... which has turned my Purple Berry Kush a nice shade of purple... but that's tomorrow mornings's harvest... <sigh>... anyway... where was I... oh yeah... AMNESIA... <hehe> Trimbag generated trim on 1st pass = 217 g Trimbag generated trim on 2nd pass = 90 g Trim generated by hand after that = 186 g Final bud weight for big girl = 223 g Clearly, comparing weight of trim generated by hand vs by the Trimbag here you can see the result of my "manhandling". Little girl was in a 10 gallon pot and generated 235 g buds and 360 g trim. Big girl was in a 15 gallon pot and generated 223 g buds and 493 g trim. Final total bud weight 458 grams for both plants. Hope anybody following along learned something this summer. I did. 😎 The trick is to not make the same mistake twice. That's kinda why we're all here. Kinda. ✊

Meanwhile, our flowering cycle continues. In just one week, the plants have changed noticeably and are developing exactly as expected.

Zoap shot up like crazy she easily grew around 7 inches. The bud sights are getting nice and pronounced, she is really starting to explode! I have done vary minimal trimming to her and lst because I flipped her into flower so fast. I believe that she will still give me a decent amount. Dqy 14 Flowering:: Hi all. The ladies are really well now and all are in flower The stretch is on now too with 3 of the girls.#4 is only at 7 days flower so i expect she will stretch this week. #2 is fairly wide node lengths with buds atop and along each lanky stem having clusters of flowers forming. #3 is very similar to #2 in that respect , except her buds are golf ball forming already. They are now on lower doses of Megacrop at 8g/10L water. I have also added 10ml calmag, 10ml Shogun pk warrior 9/18. I will be doing a defol at day 21 to lose the business of their appearance. so far all the tips are visible in light so not too much of an issue but I want to be sure the lowers that will be kept , are worthy of the rescue. So far still little warriors , let's hope the flowering stretch helps them get very busy. Be safe and well grownies.

Black Lobster - Cipher Genetics Week 8 Bloom 🌸 Day 55 of bloom heading towards week 9, her entire flower has taken on a deep purple colouring with thick coating of trichomes that make it look like something out of space! It's really striking and beautiful to look at. Her fragrance, which has shined throughout bloom, has remained blueberry forward with a gassy undertones, I'm really looking forward to getting her down dried and cured, she's simply special! Her pisitils have basically all turned amber now and her trichomes have started to turn milky too, so it's only a matter of time now, at least one more week I'd say 👌🏻 ✂️ No work this week, she has good light penetration and airflow. She won’t need anything between now and harvest👌🏼 💧 Watered every three days with 4L of RO water, nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH’d to 6.3. I’ve begun to reduce her nutrients as she approaches harvest. 💡 PPFD: ~900 ♒ VPD: 1.56kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 116 🌸 Days in Bloom: 55

In der finalen achten Vegetationswoche wurde die Blue Lobster von Cipher Genetics mit einem letzten großen Training auf die Blüte vorbereitet. Um das Maximum aus der Genetik herauszuholen, gab es eine intensive Entlaubung der großen Sonnensegel, die nun für eine optimale Lichtpenetration bis in die unteren Etagen sorgt. Zusätzlich wurde die Lady im unteren Drittel leicht "gelollipoppt", um schwache Triebe zu entfernen und die Energie gezielt in die Top-Buds zu lenken, was der Pflanze den nötigen Freiraum für den anstehenden Stretch verschafft. This week started strong. Some small concerns due to small orange spots appearing on fan leaves which on researching indicates a calcium/magnesium deficiency. Will add a small amount of cal mag to their next feed

Week 6 for Fuel D.OG by seedsman Shes still very happy in her 5L pot, Shes been getting fed every 2/3 days with some FPJ, Regulator, Enzym+ & Startboooster by @aptus_portugal just to give it an extra boost😇 I've topped her a few times now she reacts so well to being topped. She's at 14 tops ATM😍 Waiting for the lowest branch to catch up in height before i do any topping to it. Shes also ready to be transplanted into a 25L pot but unfortunately none available atm... have to wait for the autos outside to be done. She's in my top 5 for this season for sure. Cant put my finger on what she smells like exactly but there's definitely some funk to her stem rub😁

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It was a good week for the ladies, all the toppings are complete, and now I am just focusing on some LST to try and keep all 8 tops level on all the ladies. Today is day 42 and I just removed the milk crates that all of the ladies were sitting on to give them more vertical space. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. She got first trichomes this week, some pistils also started getting brown, but I think she will need more time then 12 weeks to finish the life cycle.
