She seems happy. It’s been another good week of growth. I’m cutting out the bio-grow completely for next week. I might give her some later in the grow if she looks like she needs it. Also, I’m gonna dial back the bio-bloom back to 2ml/L. Her buds are increasing in size and the smell is getting stronger. I feel like I might be about a week behind in terms of flower due to the stress from such heavy defoliation and losing most of her fan leaves, but overall I’m happy with how she’s coming along. Harvest & Trim Report — RollerCoaster Haze (Zamnesia Seeds) Overview We’ve reached the end of the RollerCoaster Haze ride. After an intense and rewarding flowering period, the girls were harvested and processed with care. This is a full documentation of the final stage: harvest timing, drying method, trimming workflow, kief collection and pressing, and final yields. This harvest produced excellent results from two phenotypes — a true tribute to the genetics and the ecosystem we built around them. Final dry yields: • Pheno #3: 138 g (dry, trimmed bud) • Pheno #2: 224 g (dry, trimmed bud) Total dry bud: 362 g We also collected kief and pressed it into a beautiful resinous hash using heat and pressure; this sits alongside the cured flower and will be part of the upcoming smoke review. ⸻ Harvest Timing & Rationale The decision to harvest was made after careful observation of trichome and pistil development, the overall fade, aroma intensity, and the plants’ finish-line behaviour. The last weeks of the run had been dedicated to ripening: we completed the last balanced feed, then transitioned to plain water and a spectral end-season program (reduced whites/blues, elevated red/far-red/UV). These cues — combined with visible trichome development and the natural fade in the canopy — indicated the plants were ready to come down. ⸻ Cutting & Whole-Plant Drying • Each plant was cut whole and hung to dry intact. • Drying duration: two weeks (full-plant hang), at the environment you maintained (consistent conditions around your final stage set point). This allowed a controlled, gradual loss of moisture and preserved aromatic compounds and trichome integrity. • Drying environment was monitored and managed with the same attention as the grow: consistent airflow, humidity control and gentle circulation to avoid hotspots while preventing too rapid desiccation. (Notes: this section is a narrative of what i did. For clarity on local rules and safety, always follow local regulations and recommended practices.) ⸻ Trimming Workflow • After the two-week hang, the plants were moved to a dedicated trimming area and placed in the trim bin for processing. • Trimming method: primarily hand trim, using delicate, precise trimming tools and patience — “delicatessen and love” as i put it. The emphasis was on preserving trichome-rich surfaces while shaping each bud for appearance and even curing. • Hand trimming allowed you to selectively manicure the buds, remove the remaining larger fans, and leave the finished colas in a state ideal for curing and later consumption. The results were clean, visually appealing buds with intact resin heads. ⸻ Curing & Storage • Trimmed buds were carefully placed into Grove Bags for the finish of the cure. The Grove Bags are being used as the controlled environment for the slow biochemical processes that refine aroma, smoothness, and terpene expression. • The plan is to allow the flower to finish its cure under stable conditions until ready for the smoke review. This prolonged, stable cure should bring out the nuanced haze profile the genetics promise. ⸻ Kief Collection & Resin Press • While trimming, kief was collected from the trim and from screens. The kief was then pressed into a concentrated resin/hash using heat and pressure. • The result is a solid, aromatic hash — glossy and packed with the strain’s signature terpenes — a beautiful secondary product from the harvest and a perfect complement to the flower in the smoke review. ⸻ Sensory & Quality Notes • Aroma: intensely hazy — a dominant hay-sweet note with mature, layered complexity. The smell in the drying/trim room was strong and very characteristic of a classic haze. • Appearance: colors trending golden to warm yellow tones, heavy frosting of trichomes, dense calyxes and robust colas. The buds visually convey potency and quality. • Structure: each phenotype expressed the haze identity; long internodes on some branches, dense stacking on others — overall excellent structure that translated into heavy colas and great yields. ⸻ Recap: Seed → Harvest at a Glance • Germination: pillbox water method; seeds cracked and into soil within 48 hours. Gentle Aptus start mix supported early vigor. • Vegetative: bottom-watering to promote downward root growth; transplanted and vegged with controlled training and canopy management. • Flower: early flip to 11/13; progressive nutrition with Aptus + Plagron mix; inner canopy lighting (ICL300) to support middle/low bud development; spectrum tuning (red/far-red/UV) toward the end of flower. Final flush and plain water to finish. • Harvest: judged by trichome and pistil maturity, aroma, and overall plant condition. Whole-plant hang for two weeks, then hand-trimmed and cured in Grove Bags. Permant marker the one seedling I could not be more happy with. It has a distinct different look to it than any other plant in the tent with strong growth going on. I'm sad about the other seedling thou the 1st set of leaves were kinda deformed and it has like a spiral thing going on where new growth comes from. Hopefully it comes back around, I always like seeing atleast 2 phenos of a strain I feel it gives you a better idea of what a strain is. It's looking like a good start to a week the plants are strong they are getting to the point I can let the dried dry out completely. I'm thinking by the end of this week the plants will be starting to be sold. Last week I put all the plants into my bigger 2x4 tent with my medicgrow mini sun 2 the 500w version. Only a few of the plants were ready for that light. Seems like the only plants that really have good resistance and have a strong start are the weedseedsexpress.com seeds. Shout out to weedseedsexpress.com for the strong plants. I ended up putting all the plants back into my 2x2 tent with the 55w amazon light it has alot more blue light in its spectrum. It's kinda weird b4 I switched the plants to the 2x4 tent they were getting 220umol under my amazon 55w led then when I put them under the 500w light 25% strength about 50in from plants and they were getting only about 195umol in that tent but it was stressing most the plants. I assume a larger light has more side lighting hitting the plants. I think when useing larger lights it's good to measure umols from the top but also coming from the sides. I think durring seedling stage they only need about 50% the umols coming from the side the plants as the top is receiving. When I put the plants back in the small tent about the same umols as they were getting b4 the switch and they were still a little stressed. So for a few days I put the small light at the top the tent giving them 100umols for a few hrs then 130umols the rest the day.

This week we will see the colas and buds really dense up. We are about 2 weeks away from harvest now. Next week I will start my flush.

Changed Monday

Hello. Got the plants into the main grow room. There is 2 videos . In the first I just sit in the room quitly and turn the camera. you get a sense :) of what it's like in there. In the second I try to describe what's in the room, equipment and maybe a new technique. With the tomato cages I use, and needing the plant to slow down, I twist the stock into a large figure 8. Eventually I take off what is on the lower part of the 8, and just work the top of the 8. About 2 weeks in veg in this room. Then I take clones of everything before I switch to flower. >Carbon dioxide enhancement: I had to make that choice 20 years ago. I could, rent a tank and have my name on a list, at the gas store. Or make my own. They didn't have the small propane tanks like they do today for the blue flame you get when you burn it. I decided on a kerosene lamp burning down as low as it could be without going out. It makes a half blue and half yellow flame. I vent constantly so the small amount of carbon monoxide is not a problem. For the first week you can smell it a bit, but the smell disappears after that. I light the lamp in the morning and put it out at lights out (unless it's bed time). It needs to be put in a place in the room that cant get knocked over (pets, children, ?). I try to use extra attention whenever I use it. It can burn down the place. Be careful Please. >About 17 years ago I thought I'd lower my table by knocking a hole in the cement and dropping my 10 gallon reservoir more. I was able to lower it by 16 inches. Still have to watch the height of some plants though, it worked out well. Watch the video. > Air cleaner: The reason I got a big 8 inch exhaust fan was, I had a bout of powder mildew and needed better a exhaust system. When I plugged it in there was too much air moving. I phoned and asked and the salesman said that a dimmer switch wasn't a good idea. I put one on anyway. Works great. I have the fan barely on in the winter and about half way on in the middle of the summer. I haven't had any powdery mildew since. About 12 years ago I bought a good air cleaner. An ORECK, It has electrified plates that zap any organic particle or spore that come between the plates. Use to grow a Northern Lights that got 6 to 8 ounces per harvest, it grew big buds. Buds as big as my forearm. I had problems with gray mold attaching the buds. But none since I bought the air cleaner. Ya learn as you go.

Very bushy and multibranching. She has one mane stalk with branches unevenly set. The branches have side branches which I cut off. ============ Germination April 6. Vegetation Week 1 water only Week 2 water only Week 3 added recharge and TPS1 increased ppm to 570. Week 4 continues with recharge and TPS1. I added Fox Cal mag increasing ppm to 685 - 805. Week 5 TPS1 9ml/gal Recharge 5 ml/gal Fox Cal-mag 5 ml/gal Week 6 5/12-19 Moved outside in 5 gal air pots receiving rain and well water. Week 7 5/19-25 Opium received only rainwater for the last 2 weeks. Since I was in Colorado last week, I feel very behind on my diaries. Despite my absence, my outside gals did just fine. Opium loves the outside sun, breeze, and frequent rain. Week 9 6/2-6/8 Now at the start of week 9, my outside gals, except L. Cake are now in flower. Several pics show the very narrow new leaves and small white hairs evidence of flower formation. 6/7 This is the first time I’ve had to add nutrients to her feeding. Some lower leaves were yellow. Since I’ve been using amended soil, this indicates Fractal is a heavy feeder. Nutrients in soils are used up and she is starting to use her own food sources 6/7 5 gallons well water TPS1 60ml used 1 gallon per plant =12ml Cal-Mag 25ml used 1 gallon per plant =5ml Recharge 5ml used 1 gallon per plant =1ml Signal 1.25ml PPM 1414, PH 6.93, Temp 82.5 Note I do not have to PH adjust my well water. However, our city water comes out of the tap at 8.2 ph so I must PH down using the city line hose and my inside grows. Week 10 6/9-15 Fractal loves the outside. She bushy and 3 1/2feet tall. All are showing yellowing leaves so everyone is now getting nutrients with feedings. I saw a Japanese beetle on my Lemon Cake and some small holes in the leaves so I added 1/2 tsp neem to the feed solution 6/12. Also started using fish & kelp. I'm still watering 1 gal per plant when I feed 2x/week. With the heat and humidity, I water daily but do not feed daily. Nutrients: TPS1 15ml/gal @4 gal =60ml Signal 1.5 ml Cal mag 10ml @4 gal Recharge ½ tsp/gal =10ml Kelp & fish GS plant foods 1/4c /gal @ 4 gal =1c Neem ½ tsp (for Japanses beetles)  Ph5.7  PPM 1260  Solution Temp 85  Outside temp 92f They love the natural rain and sunshine evidenced by vigorous growth. In the end it was a pretty good run, i have to say though that, probably due to some early veg stress, one of the plants probably suffered from hermaphroditism and impollinated the others, 5hus resulting in a few seeds here and there. CAKED!!!!!! lol shes turning white shes so caked with trichs. I'm starting to see a little plumping as well so thats great!!! She looks like shes gonna be knocking some people on thier butts thats for sure!!!! Been pretty smooth sailing so thats always nice. Removed a couple of the autos from the tent and now the main ladies are left for another week mayb 2. I checked the trichs today and mostly clear still. I got the next ladies germed up and they looking healthy and ready for the tennt when it frees up 😋
