Very happy so far and I turned the lights on to 12/12 today. Also turned the LED up to 380w and still learning how close I can get the plants to the light with such a efficient LED.

Both phenotypes reached maturity beautifully, wrapped in dense, resin-coated buds that carry the unmistakable aroma of sweetness and spice. 🌱 From Seed to Harvest — A Journey in Full Bloom Our Lava Cake journey began from seed with two unique phenotypes, both full of potential and personality. Week after week, through careful nutrition, TrolMaster monitoring, and endless observation, we watched them evolve. From the early stages of vegetative vigor, through the lush canopy of mid-flower, and even through the challenges of heat and bud rot, these girls showed true resilience. Each setback taught something — about balance, airflow, humility, and the living rhythm of nature. Both plants were ultimately harvested with respect and gratitude. ⸻ ✂️ Harvest & Trimming After about two weeks of slow drying at 60°F / 60% RH, the branches began to snap — a sure sign the moisture was just right. Each plant was trimmed by hand, carefully and patiently, letting every calyx, pistil, and trichome tell its own story. The buds were dense, sticky, and heavily frosted — a trimmer’s delight. Finger hash collected along the way was pure gold, rich in aroma and bursting with terpenes. Each snip of the scissors felt like sculpting something sacred. Both plants were dried whole, allowing for slower moisture migration and a smoother final cure. ⸻ 🌿 On Trichomes and Harvest Timing We chose to harvest when most trichomes were cloudy, with only a few still clear and very few amber. This moment — just before full amber maturity — is where potency meets flavor at its peak. Why cloudy trichomes? Because that’s when cannabinoids like THC and terpenes are at their maximum activity. Too early, and you lose potency; too late, and THC starts converting into CBN, giving a heavier, sleepier effect. Cloudy trichomes deliver a balanced high — euphoric yet grounding — capturing the essence of the strain in its full potential. ⸻ 🌸 Aroma, Taste & Effects The Lava Cake lives up to her name and lineage. Sorry I was so slow at getting back here, These girls really love there home. I have a question.. When they say 60 days to flower. Do they mean the beginning or end of flower

Bien pues ya tenemos en marcha el 2º seguimiento del perfil... Son 6 white truffles, 6 Apple&Bazzokies de GBSTRAINS y 5 GG4 de GBSEEDS que se empezaron a germinar el 15 de mayo por la tarde sobre las 19:00 Todas nutridas con BOOM nutrients jejeje Todas las semanas iremos viendo los cambios y la evolución, los riegos y las flores que vendrán :) El 16 de mayo del 23 sobre las 07:00 de la mañana pase las semillas del vaso con agua, a los tapers con servilleta. Ahí estuvieron 24 horas mas haciendo un total de 36 horas germinando para después, pasarlas a las macetas de 1 litro. 22/05/23 actualizado, meto unas fotos mas de como van las semillas después de 7 días desde que se empezaron a germinar en el vaso de agua. A día 22/05/23 llevamos 7 días desde que se empezaron a germinar. ACTUALIZACION DE ESTADO: 30/05/23 Subo unas fotos después de 8 días. Llevamos 15 días desde que se empezó a germinar las semillas en vaso de agua. A partir de aquí, empiezo a contar semanas de crecimiento. Trasplantaremos a maceta definitivas de 7L dentro de una semana o 2.

I've stopped giving them fertiliser and did a root flushing 4 days ago. They are looking good, smaller buds of what could have been with the correct equipment and dedication but I can't complain. I don't have a magnifying glass so I'm basing myself on the pistils to know when to harvest. I think I'll give them one more week but everyone is welcome to give me advice, would love to receive feedback from more experienced people.

Been too busy to update the last few weeks, but they’re surviving longer then I expected. When I received my new light I did not take in consideration of the heat output and within the first night of use the tent reached a scorching 88 degrees

*****New time lapse Day 25-88***** Mar 4, 2018: Did lots of staking and tying, after my removal of overcrowding fan leaves had many colas falling over. ... Mar 2, 2018: Gonna have to spend some time staking the smaller stalks, the larger colas are doing ok as their stalks are thicker. Underestimated how the stretch effected stability, have near 2' of just stalk below the canopy, could be genetics could be I had the light too high. ... Feb 29, Mar 1, 2018: Nothing new, more watering more swelling. Main cola's are approaching the size of soda can and some as large as a pint glass! ... Feb 26,27,28; 2018: Been a few days, Been out of town and am finally uploading the start of week 13. Feb 28 marks the end of week 6 of flowering. Due to my seeding issue the garden will probably go long on flowering, I'm guessing at least 3 weeks left, I'm still seeing all clear trichomes and the first batch of seeds are ripening so hopefully the pistils that the buds are now starting to produce will be the start end of flowering. Might try reducing the light from 12/12 to 11-11.5 light/12.5-13 dark to help signal the end of the season. Upon inspection of sample buds it seems seeding might be less than initially thought. .... If anyone has experience harvesting seeded bud please sound off in the comments, from what I've read the timeframe for seeded buds tends to run long, I'm not all that interested in harvesting the seeds, but I want the buds to develop to their full potential

Lamp Brightness: 100% @ 12" - estimated 1000 PAR (GMO 2 tallest plant so top of this is used for 12" light distancing) Feeding schedule once-a-week, other waterings strictly water-only Day after feeding, soil is given a sst + fresh organic kefir whey 4oz+ per gallon (kefir grains grown in local organic grass-fed milk) IPM now once-a-week visual inspection - no foliar applications note: stretching appears to be finished. lights switched to 11 hrs on - crop steering kept in mind more fans installed for increased airflow beneath canopy GMO 3 and GMO 1 received a watering of 10% by volume (1.5gal) once this week w/o runoff GMO 1 sticky to the touch like sap/pure gas + maybe burnt rubber GMO 2 mild/middle of the road/faint gas/sweet GMO 3 citrus-sweet floral/gas + oily/greasy touch

Day 64 - Beginning of the Final Flowering Week 🌱 Hello, my grow friends! We’re entering the last flowering week, and it looks like I’ll be harvesting the plant around Friday, which will be roughly Day 68. 💭 Harvest Decision: It’s a tough decision because while the buds are still growing, the trichomes in the middle and lower parts of the plant are already about 80% milky and 10% amber. I’ll keep an eye on things and plan to check the trichomes again on Day 65, two days before harvest, to make a final decision. 🌿 Trichome Considerations: I have a feeling that even after cutting the plant and hanging it upside down to dry, some nutrients might still move into the buds, potentially causing them to swell a bit more. This is something I’m curious to see. 💧 Humidity, Water, and Temperature: As I mentioned in my last update, I flushed the plant yesterday, just before the start of the final week, with 4 liters of water. This should help flush out any remaining nutrients, and I likely won’t need to water again before harvest since the pots are thoroughly soaked. The humidity and temperature are holding steady between 52-58% and 20-24°C, which I find ideal. I’ve got my exhaust system and fan running continuously to ensure no mold develops. 📸 Final Updates: I’ll check in again with an update just before harvest to let you know how things are looking. Remember, I’m posting new pictures and videos of my plant every day. 🌱 Day 70 - Last Day Before Harvest 🌱 Hey Grow-Friends! 😄 Today marks the final day before harvest, and I couldn’t be more excited! As planned, I’ve kept the plant in darkness for the last 48 hours and haven’t watered it for 6 days. My goal is to let it sit in the dark until this evening, when the time finally comes to chop it down. 🌿✂️ Drying Decisions 🌬️ After much research and considering several factors—especially the high humidity in my tent—I’ve decided to go with wet trimming instead of dry trimming. I know dry trimming is often recommended for better bud quality and taste, but my main concern is avoiding mold at all costs. So, to play it safe, I’ll wet trim the buds, get them into the right size, and then place them in a drying net for about 7 days. Timing Concerns ⏳ I’m still figuring out the best timing for transferring the buds into curing jars. Since I’m wet trimming, I won’t be able to rely on the classic “stem snap test” to check dryness. But we’ll figure that out as we go along! Final Reflections 🌟 It’s been an amazing journey, and although I could push the grow a little further, I believe this is the perfect time to harvest.
