Phwoah! Grow Genius silica came thru in a big way, blessing the Blue Paint crew with the rigidity we’d hoped for. One pheno has a slight curve to it and it’s now evident that they’re starting to break away from each other in phenotypical expressions by way of height, strength and leaf structure (possible variations in new growth width), but these might well be environmental influences rather than genetic. Seedling feeding regimen has been swapped out for the veg stack. The environment of the nursery tent saw a slight shift downward in temperature as the seasons press closer to winter but this didn’t stop progress, even after the Blue Paint crew got a repotting, increasing their root space 10 fold. With the increase in legroom they also got an upgrade to first class with a tent of their own as older auto tent sisters were shifted to their final grow space. Unfortunately this might only tide them over for a short while. The worry is, longer than expected flower cycles mean their final home, the photo tent, is still packed to the rafters with ripening flower and Blue Paint is coming up behind at an alarming rate. No choice but to play it by ear and possibly end up making some big purchases, drastic changes or tough calls. Ready and willing if it comes to it, fire genetics over bag seed all day long 😂. Flowering day 3 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys . My cutting heating broke 3-4 weeks ago, which was fixed immediately and everything went wonderfully. Now, 3 days ago, the central heating broke down in the entire room, so that at night I only have temperatures of around 13 degrees :-( . One or the other lady is slowly starting to see a phosphorus blockage, as this can no longer be absorbed at temperatures below 15 degrees, like many other nutrients :-( . A friend looked at the heating yesterday and came to the conclusion that a real company had to do it, which is by no means possible for a stranger to enter my room. I quickly ordered heating mats for all the boxes so that the ladies could at least get warm feet. That's all I have this winter full can do . Let's hope everything will be fine 🙏🏻. As soon as the heating mats are attached in the coming days, I will post them in the pictures. Now for the update. Despite the severe cold, the ladies are still doing well and have made good progres . The ladies only had to be watered once this week, each time with 1 l, because it absorbs the water very slowly because of the cold and I don't want to overwater it. I took every single plant in the pot to take a close look at their roots. These are snow white and look very healthy 🙏🏻. It was also the last time neem oil sprayed so that the last trips are finally gone. Otherwise everything was checked and a lot of planning was done, like I do with the heating mats. Since a friend had the same problem in one winter and the heating mats got 10 degrees plus on the pots, I am very confident that it will at least bring something for the last cold month 😃 🙏🏻. Day 65 (12/31): no change. Day 66 (1/1): I'm thinking the plant on the left will be finished before the plant on the right. The leaves seem to be fading and the trichomes seem to be more mature on that plant also. 11pm: just watered the plants nutes. Same as last time. Left plant 6mL micro 12 mL bloom. Right plant 8mL micro 16 mL bloom Day 67 (1/2) Day 68 (1/3) Day 69 (1/4): just got home from a trip. Plants seem to be doing fine. Nearing the end I assume. Plants will probably need water tonight 10pm: just fed my plants nutes again. Both plants received 8mL of micro and 16 mL of bloom. Day 70: (1/5) Day 71 (1/6): plants look good this morning. The left plant is definitely nearing the end of its life. The plant on the right still could have another week or more. Just posted a video: plant on the left definitely doesn't have very large or dense nugs but it has a lot of them. The plant on the right has some super dense nugs. I'm excited to see what they both yield.

Harvested at day 76, after 72h of darkness. Very good yield! 3.3 pounds of dry buds + 1 pound of trim The 2 keepers yielded 366 and 342g of premium quality smoke. Very uplifting and energizing high :) Love it!

Started the flush 4 days ago. The main cola on this beast is the size of a 2 litre soda bottle. If I don't get 150g+ of this plant I'll be amazed.

Day 104. Last Tangies chop day. So , as you know three girls have dry results at the moment. Fatty tangie 69.65 Foxtail tangie 72.03 Slim Fat tangie 65.03 Upsidedown tangie still in dry tent, but one hanger was left with most of leaves for dry trim and other two made 29+ and 35+ , so its AMAZING that this plant will make 3 oz, look at week 4 and you will understand why i am so happy and amazed ;) Lanky aka Sativa dominant tangie which is choped today could still go, its day 104 from seed. This girl and really all of them except upsidedown should be defoliated, but its my first auto run purely indoors and i read so many crapy results, didnt want to stress them a lot. From 6 girls only 5 sprouted. All very diff just two fatties where lookalikes . Upside down had strange life and she looked and was trained ( toped ) other way than her sisters. Foxtail early started so quick and so strong but ended with airy foxtailed buds and last lanky aka sativa diminant had loads of colas in videos before harvest its easy to spot she should be lolitoped higer, again i would ajust it during grow, but fears about autos prevented me from using many tricks. With all love to RealGorillaSeeds , this bach was crap. Day 108. I have holidays and UpsidedownTangie with leaves was still damp as was Lanky Tangies all bigger buds ( if that airy long strech but crystaly as f@#k crap around stemp we can call weed or bud ;)))) ) So both where left for extra 3 weeks overdry ;))) hope it wont be harsh from that. I can guarantee that Upsidedown is the Champ at moment, those 4 top branches will have an ounce in them, so plant will be 90+. With Lanky Tangie is diff story, she is airy i needed to trim and lolitop her a lot more, she just couldnt feed every bud, still that pheno is super crystaly. I like it and from 2 bottom branch hangers i got 35+, so 3 other will have like 45-50 on them, again loads of .... Thats my nutes, in bag epsom salt, it was first grow with all of them, as you see for 9 plants I used almost nothing. In 3 weeks i will have full weights and smoke report, i like Tangie more everyday, still not even close to my fav taste ... P.s. i had a bit of leftovers of topmax, bio grow and bio bloom. Max like 200 ml. Bio grow still have a bit left in promo bottle. Less is more ! Day 125 Upsidedown Tangie 93.4 - current Champ, its amazing what she managed to do ... Lanky Tangie - 76.8 So total for all 5 Tangies is : 376.91 Not bad, still i will update later and ill explain why i didnt liked them ...

Its been an amazing week, now i can understand why Carl Linneus was amazed about this miracle of blooming 🌸 Flowers are starting to grow everywhere, smell isn’t a big deal yet but my girls are just super beautiful 🤩 Colouring is homogeneous ☘️, only a single-couple of leaves showing a bit of nutrient deficiency/excess Critical is becoming literally twice the size of the cookies growing laterally but cookie’s branches are fatter, stronger and harder 💪🏼 Its been a long way but im proud of myself, very pleasant experience, its my first indoor grow and its almost scary how much i have learned ✍️🏼 LST shows an amazing structure and definitely not training your plant its the biggest mistake you can make 🏋️‍♂️ Unintentionally i applied a light cropping and the branches made the bulbs expected, don’t really know if it will show any gains

My homework. Rubisco regeneration is intrinsically linked to nitrogen supply because Rubisco is a major sink for nitrogen in plants, typically accounting for 15% to over 25% of total leaf nitrogen. The regeneration phase itself consumes nitrogen through the synthesis of the Rubisco enzyme and associated proteins (like Rubisco activase), and overall nitrogen status heavily influences the efficiency of RuBP regeneration.Structural Component: Nitrogen is an essential building block for all proteins, and the sheer abundance of the Rubisco protein makes it the single largest storage of nitrogen in the leaf. Synthesis and Activity: Adequate nitrogen supply is crucial for the synthesis and maintenance of sufficient Rubisco enzyme and Rubisco activase (Rca), the regulatory protein responsible for maintaining Rubisco's active state. Nitrogen deficiency leads to a decrease in the content and activity of both Rubisco and Rca, which in turn limits the maximum carboxylation rate, Vmax, and the rate of RuBP regeneration Jmax, thus reducing overall photosynthetic capacity. Nitrogen Storage and Remobilization: Rubisco can act as a temporary nitrogen storage protein, which is degraded to remobilize nitrogen to other growing parts of the plant, especially under conditions of nitrogen deficiency or senescence. Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE): The allocation of nitrogen to Rubisco is a key determinant of a plant's photosynthetic nitrogen use efficiency (PNUE). Magnesium ions, Mg2+, are specifically required for Rubisco activation because the cation plays a critical structural and chemical role in forming the active site: A specific lysine residue in the active site must be carbamylated by a CO2 molecule to activate the enzyme. The resulting negatively charged carbamyl group then facilitates the binding of the positively charged Mg2+ion. While other divalent metal ions like Mn2+ can bind to Rubisco, they alter the enzyme's substrate specificity and lead to dramatically lower activity or a higher rate of the non-productive oxygenation reaction compared to Mg2+, making them biologically unfavorable in the context of efficient carbon fixation. The concentration of Mg2+ in the chloroplast stroma naturally increases in the light due to ion potential balancing during ATP synthesis, providing a physiological mechanism to ensure the enzyme is activated when photosynthesis is possible. At the center of the porphyrin ring, nestled within its nitrogen atoms, is a Magnesium ion (Mg2+). This magnesium ion is crucial for the function of chlorophyll, and without it, the pigment cannot effectively capture and transfer light energy. Mg acts as a cofactor: Mg2+ binds to Rubisco after an activator CO2 molecule, forming a catalytically competent complex (Enzyme-CO2-Mg2+). High light + CO2) increases demand: Under high light (60 DLI is a very high intensity, potentially saturating) and high CO2, the plant's capacity for photosynthesis is high, and thus the demand for activated Rubisco and the necessary Mg2+ cofactor increases. Mg deficiency becomes limiting: If Mg2+ is deficient under these conditions, the higher levels of Rubisco and Rubisco activase produced cannot be fully activated, leading to lower photosynthetic rates and potential photo-oxidative damage. Optimal range: Studies show that adequate Mg2+ application can enhance Rubisco activation and stabilize net photosynthetic rates under stress conditions, but the required concentration is specific to the experimental setup. Monitoring is key: The most effective approach in a controlled environment is to monitor the plant's physiological responses e.g., leaf Mg2+ concentration, photosynthetic rate, Rubisco activation state, and adjust the nutrient solution/fertilizer to maintain adequate levels, rather than supplementing a fixed "extra" amount. In practice, this means ensuring that Mg2+ is not a limiting factor in the plant's standard nutrient solution when pushing the limits with high light and CO2. Applying Mg2+ through foliar spray is beneficial to Rubisco regeneration, particularly in alleviating the negative effects of magnesium (Mg) deficiency and high-temperature stress (HTS). While Mg can be leached from soil, within the plant it is considered a mobile nutrient, particularly in the phloem. Foliar-applied Mg is quickly absorbed by the leaves and can be translocate to other plant parts, including new growth and sink organs. Foliar application of: NATURES VERY OWN MgSO4 @ 15.0g L-1 in a spray bottle. Foliar sprays are often recommended as a rapid rescue measure for existing deficiencies or as a supplement during critical growth stages, when demand for Mg is high. Application in the early morning or late evening can improve absorption and prevent leaf burn. The starting point [of creativity] is curiosity: pondering why the default exists in the first place.
