On day 1 I did another light defoliation. The plants are progressing as expected. The only issue I'm dealing with is fungus gnats... ugh. I will keep applying BTI weekly until the population is under control. On day 3 the plants are putting out more pistils and seem to have stopped or slowed down their "stretch" phase. On day 4 I'm starting to see some trichomes forming on the sugar leaves, no smell that I can discern yet. I also changed out my reservoir and applied a BTI soil drench. On day 5 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir down to 6.1. I also purged my blumat system to make sure there are no clogs as my reservoir has fertilizer particles due to my water heater causing separation. I must keep the water heater on as I am growing in the northeast coming into the cold time of the year and can't have my reservoir freeze on me. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir down to 6.1. On day 7 I adjusted PH in reservoir to 6.1.

This idea may change in coming days. 2 waterings of 2.5 l on Mar 2+ foliar feeding and second in Mar 7. May take another week before first runoff experience. Continously leaves tucking. Girls are responding perfectly to feeding like also to my LST. Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. Flushed last week and I'll flush this week too. I like to flush, I get better taste because of it. I'm pleased with this strain. The buds are hard and have a good smell and the plant are holding up their branches covered in buds. I see a couple of branches heading for the floor though. That's my way of gauging how heavy my buds are. When I water later, I'll tie them up. This is the last week for these lovely girls. Smells like metallic skunk with some sweet orange undertones in the basement. But when I touch the buds and smell my fingers, I get more of a sweet musky orange skunky smell. Smells delicious. Not just a straight cat pee smell, but something I might want to smoke, with some flavor to it. I'll post some pictures before I harvest next week. Ok. Be Great. Chuck.

The growth is going quite well this week. I've selected the 3 best plants (one of each strain) for the final pots transplants. The Blackberry Cake is a bit late compared to the other ones but it keeps growing and the roots look good. I moved a bit the light away from the plants because they seemed to be slightly light burned. I also started the fan (when the light is ON), and set the dehumidifier to 65%. I really wonder how tall these ladies would be if I did not enforce any sort of training, would they even grow tall with only a slight breeze, trust when I say slight, it’s enough to extract air out the greenhouse, I’ve tested this out with smoke to better see the airflow in the greenhouse and itself ventilates. But it is not sufficient to cause any stress to help bulk up stems and brunches, we going to need that strength when flowering takes place, big buds get heavy. I think the more you grow the more you say this is your best cycle, I think it due to the lessons learnt while improving your knowledge. At this moment I can safely say I don’t not have a favourite plant in this cycle because of how unique each plant is adapting to greenhouse conditions, unlike outdoor where the plant is exposed to the elements which I say is a huge advantage because it get all the right minerals and nutrients from sun and rain. Luckily I have a tank full of rain water, to be fair enough to not keep these ladies hydrated.

Harvesting An ELEPHANT !!! And after 118 day from seed and 101 from wen she started her mix veg/flowering process, i cant say for sure but i am starting to believe that this auto world do veg, then veg and flower in conjunction for a wile and only after they a wile they move to a flowering stage completely but thats another post another day lol today was harvest day for this Auto Elephant from SSSC , and let me tel you she is a delight with huge fruits, so big that i normally cut and hang the all plant and for this i did not take the risk of doing that and getting bud rot , better safe than sorry, so what i broke her in smaller peaces and put it all in the rack. Now not much to do than waiting for it to get around 10/15% humidity and jar with it all.
