~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2202 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2202 girls and they're on a roll! The #1 tester has developed some discoloration on her leaf tips which tells me she's a bit sensitive to my amendment concentrations so remember to go very light on the nutrients when you start out! I'll keep an eye on her but really am not too concerned at this time. When I checked on them today they both were still moist so I let them go until I check them tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure they don't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch them grow! 12/17- Yesterday I watered them both and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen their branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched my girls grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered them each with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses which I then ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. They're really starting to take off now, a sure sign their roots are beginning to get well developed. Their 4th set of leaves have emerged and I'm thinking over topping them in the next day or so. 12/21- Well, yesterday I went ahead and topped the #2 Tester #2202 taking off the 5th leaf set. Hopefully she won't stress out over this and starts shooting out those secondary branches. I left the #1 alone as she's not quite as vigorous as the #2. I may not top the #1 as a sort of comparison to see how each grows out. Today I watered them both with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water each which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into their drip pans so they can draw it up into their medium, the rest I applied to the top of their medium just to moisten it. Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and they should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! End of week 4 and all is great! This girl is beefin up to be a monster! Already got a ton of bud on her an their is still 4-6 weeks to go. loving this Hortilux Eye 1000w bulb. Really bringing the A game. Not so bumbed about spending $ 125 on a bulb now...lol haven’t had to really take any foliage off yet with the exception of the growth under the netting I removed at 1 weeks into flowering. I say “hell no” too popcorn fluff! Lol gotta save that energy for the top buds. Going great so far anyway, I made a DIY light bar for my light rail mover out of an old metal bed frame so that was cool. Saved $50 per tent... I ain’t no sucker gonna pay $50 for an aluminum bar with some bolts. Lol gonna hook up my “water coolers soon too since the summer is approaching and my water temps are begging to creep up again. Lol you may have noticed a computer case sitting in the corner of my grow tents in past videos, they are DIY water chillers made from some thermoelectric coolers and a copper cooling coil. 11/21/24 Short facts: - Watered: 1 x 0.75L, 1 x 0.75L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.75L — 4.75L - VPD @ 1.4 — raised by 0.1 - Light @ 80% ~700 to 1050 PPFD - BioBizz Bio-Bloom increased to 3ml/L - BioBizz Bio-Grow increased to 3ml/L - Getting colder! At night between 18 to 19°C --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There isn’t much to report this week. She’s doing fine, buds are getting bigger and thicker! Since the weather is getting quite cold for the region - and we’ve already had a bit of snow - the cellar where my grow tent is set up is cooling down, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 18–19°C. Therefore, I’ve ordered some heat mats, which should arrive tomorrow. I’m aiming to stabilize the root temperature at around 22°C consistently, so the nights won’t be too cold anymore. I’ll go into more detail in next week’s update.

Only one gelato remaining people. This one is really taking its time and the lack of orange pistils does have me really worried. All bottom vegetation is turning yellow and dying out and buds look like they still have a bit to go. I'm hoping its not a did.

Week 3 of flowering has started! More defoliation and loolipoping is going on and is passing the surface of the SOG... buds keep fattening, although this light is very poor I think inhave mentioned that before!!

Actually there are lots of nice colors coming through in the buds, and a little purple in the leaves Giving Black a bit longer before I do the same **** Mon 13 Jan - day 62 **** I gave Black a bit of a trim the other day - she's about 40 cm and must weigh double the other Red is looking very close to finish - see today's video No feeding of any kind Water is from the tap at PH 7, they are drinking a liter a day, Black a bit more even **** Tue 14 Jan - day 63 **** The top of Red is starting to show some blueberry colors - now I'm interested in what happens if I leave her longer Both seem to have stopped growing some time ago - maybe concentrating on flowering Black plant is I guess a week behind Red, but Red really peaked early Looking forward to the final stages Having done scientific tests, I can affirm this is going to be pretty good That's week 9, cheers all

Started the week with apparently a bug of some sort. Ready to use Neem Oil from Walmart and they're responding fine. Will re-treat in 7 days. Good growth otherwise. Trying different methods of LST. Very fun! Looking forward to a good next 7 days. Going back to an 18/6 time cycle. I think the bat gauno was too potent and I may be watering with high alkaline water that may raise the pH. I had bb lack curled up baby leaves undergrowth and my fan leaves have sucked up all that extra potassium and some leaves have broken off. Some older fan leaves are patchy and discolored but am keeping them to continue saving excess there instead of newer growth. My light schedule also lended imo-high pH even tho it's within normal range going in. I'm trying to lower my humidity and get them ready for a our watering to flush away any iron from my shitty water that could turn to rust if not moved away from the roots. BTW Spider Mites...not husky hair in weed.. Neem oil seems to be working. Put a lady bug in the tent. So I'm a little past 30 days and it's a wash. I got stuff blooming and dying at the same time. I'll post pics soon for observation purposes. I'm going to make a list of my mistakes as well.

Day42 of flowering Girl #1 seems to have tighter buds and is still smaller, but looks like she will finish later (although she popped first by a few days) Girl#2 is much heavier and has sucked the green from her lowest fan leaves even though she is fed well. She also smells soooo good, over ripe cantaloupe/melons. I am really happy with these plants, which I did not top and let colas grow. I am thinking of removing the cola fan leaves to let light blast the other tops. Day 45, Removed almost all fan leaves to expose as much bud as possible to lighting. Scent is very strong and sweet. Very resinous leaf

5-24-20: Shes getting fat! Getting close to harvest. Leafs are starting to fade to yellow. Shes getting more and more stinky and stickier by the day. Good covering of trichomes and buds aren't to airy looking. Pistils are nice and amber with a few white ones still lingering around. Looks like the lower buds are maturing at the same rate as the top, so im sure i will be able to harvest all at once. Only the trichomes will tell.

this week is a bit frustrating im having some small issue with root rot im off to the store to buy some drip clean from house and garden and ill be doing a water change today i will also topped them after fourth set of leaves day 7 system flush and cleaned. adjusted ppm to 750 i will be using sterile rez from now on as i dont want to battle with pythium. added drip clean and peroxide 30% as suggested by my local hydro store now water looks pristine onto week 5 tomorow.

Just started flush, will be cut and hung in 2 weeks its snowing here in the mountains of Colorado so I am filling the top of the pot with snow since this does increase trichome production and I did half way cut it down about 1/4 deep both sides of the stalk

VEG WEEK 10 My Base Nutrient Inputs: See VEG WEEK 6 for details of stock solutions A & B. My grow weeks run from Monday to Sunday. This week the goal was to let the girls grow, space the tops around the trellis, and attach each stem to the outside of this structure. Tuesday - Watering Day - 1 gallon each as described above. Friday - Watering Day - The pots are very light. Laverne is quite thirsty in pic # 10 - 2 gallons each as described above. Friday - Pruning Day - Pinched out all the new grow at each fan leaf. The goal is a single stalk with no side branching. Also removed some lower Fan leaves and a few select others. Unfortunately, Laverne lost a top. Not sure how, but I snapped it😡, and it dangled by a little of the outer stem tissue. I quickly reached for some tape to administer first-aid, which has worked for me in the past. Sadly, a few days later, it was evident (pic # 16), she wasn't going to make it. Sunday - Training and Trim Day - Laverne is now down to 11 tops and my plants symmetry is shattered. I pushed the broken limb aside, to make room to realign the neighboring branches. I'm leaving this broken branch on the plant for now (pic #17), in an attempt to keep the other branch, on the same main stalk from dominating the plant. The remaining branch (pic #18&19) is already growing much faster and needed some serious twisting to bring it to the level of the rest of the plant. I managed to get Laverne symmetrical again, and leveled out the tops with some wire work. Shirley was also wired down to a symmetrical, level canopy, without any drama. Laverne is now 10 inches tall, and Shirley is 12 inches. It seems I named them backwards, lol. Laverne received a 2 inch booster seat under her pot to bring her canopy level with her buddy. Their canopy tops are 30 inches from the Electric Sky ES 300 V1 light. Shirley has shown herself to be a female (pic #24), while Laverne has not shown sex (no concern, as these seeds I made should be feminized). I see some tip burn, and need to dial back my nutrients a tad. I also am working on eliminating the purple on the top side of the petioles (not too worried about it as the plant is growing and appears healthy otherwise). My base nutrients contain calcium and magnesium, plus I add Cal-Mag +, so not sure why. It is funny that the purple is only on the top side of the petioles, and makes me wonder if this is caused somehow by LED lighting. If anyone knows, please share😀. I plan on another week, maybe two, of vegetative growth. The mother(s), that I made these seeds from only stretched about 12-14 inches. I'll flip to 12/12 light schedule when the stems reach the height of the top of the trellis. With the stems supported, and some luck, these girls, will be set-up for smooth flowering.
