Blueberry fem sprayed with STS before going into tent set for 12/12.
Pure Indica & Durban are bigger plants ready to flip now
Whereas the PotG, Thanos, and possibly BB clone (not sure if I’m gonna hit the clone of BB with the reversed BB pollen or not yet.
Might even hit one of my new Bluenut Butter Fems with it too. Depends on how stacked these males get or if they have trouble reversing.
BB is not in great shape, I’ve been debating doing this for some time and neglected her the past few weeks..
February 3rd -
Sprayed BB fem again.. went ahead and added another fem clone of BB into the tent and sprayed as well. It’s recommended that you do a couple plants at different times to be sure that the plant produces pollen at the correct time. So the main plant is started 1/31 and a little clone on 2/3.. probably won’t make much pollen but it’s a fail safe basically.
—Side note—
TS1000 having buzzing sounds so I pulled it and put up some old lights. Ridiculous. That TS1000 has probably 5 days of use and it’s buzzing like there’s a loose wire arcing or some shit. It’s also holding electricity. I had unplugged it while In off position.. then flipped switch on and it flashed full brightness for a split second.. not cool. Not impressed
————Feb 6————
Sprayed again, did whole big plant and small solo cup.
Slight stretching from big plant beginning. Not much to say besides that.

So here is a general run down of how I ran this and what I used, etc.
PRODUCT
Product used was Twenty20 Mendocino - 2 part STS (Silver Thiosulfate) purchased on Etsy for $30 bucks.
This is a two part product you mix and its good for about 30 days after mixed , then it declines in efficiency.
They have detailed instructions on their site, as well as a YT video outlining application of product

PLAN
Idea here is to make a few crosses by reversing the Blueberry pheno I found, then pollinating a few females I have ( Some from seed, most from clone and hunted)
Reading up on this and as suggested by their website - Timing can be tricky. You want to wait 2-3 weeks after initiating the flowering and reversal of the ReversedFem before you initiate flowering of the female seed donors or females that will be pollinated by the reversed female Blueberry.
So given their indication that timing is very important - and this large window they suggest starting your females in flower after reversed fem (they said wait 14-25 days).. I hatched a plan to help account for any timing issues that occurred. My worry is that seed plants have a slower trigger than clones in flower.. as well as strain differences and pheno differences. So, I started spraying my large Blueberry Fem on 1/31 and put in 12/12 that night, then on 2/3 I did the same with a smaller solo cup clone. This allows me to have a little buffer if there comes any issues. Although ultimately we want the large one to be the main producer and pollinator.
After that I planned to put half the females in about 15-17 days later, then another about 20 days after..
PROCEDURE
So procedure panned out similar to the plan
JAN 31
Sprayed large Blueberry fem with STS and threw in 12/12
FEB 3
Sprayed Large BB and also solo cup clone BB and threw that one in 12/12
FEB 6,9,12,15,18,21,24
Sprayed each of the two BB fems as instructed by Twenty20 - around nodes and new growth.
As weeks went by I wasnt seeing male parts so I delayed the fems a few days.
FEB 17
I introduced the first females , Pure Indica and Durban I believe, into the tent with the Reversed BBs
FEB 20
I introduced the rest of the females to be pollinated into the tent - POTG, Blueberry Clone, and a small Thanos clone (astaphanos keeper cut)..
FEB21-22
First obvious signs of male pollen sacs surfacing
FEB 27
Full blown male sacs showing on majority of bud sites on plant.
None appear to be opening up much yet. I would wager no pollen is active in the air.
POLLINATION
I will attempt mainly naturally pollination with some assistance such as tapping the Reversed plant over the fems when the sacs are ripe.

February 7
This has been sprayed a total of three times now with the STS. Nothing showing yet but you can see stretching occurring.
Large plant, original plant, has had three sprays. Small plant has had two.
So we’re now seven days into 12 12 and the spraying
——-UPDATE ———
OK so I hope I have this all correct. STS sprays on
January 31
Feb 3
Feb 6
Feb 9
Feb 12
So I did the fifth spray tonight which is February 12. Signs of flower are apparent but I’m not seeing anything indicative of male parts..

So today was the 6th day of spraying.. 15 days total. Recommend to put females to be pollinated in between 14-24 days after initiating flower and spraying of reversed plant.
Going to try different times. Just put in Durban and pure indica.. likely put in PotG and blueberry in there in 3 days from now.. probably try one more solo cup one to get just a few seeds from as well but it’s looking like crosses will be
BLUEBERRY x
-Pure indica clone
-Durban from seed
-PotG 1 clone
-Blueberry clone
Reversal plant is looking like it’s flowering.. pistils showing for sure. Should start seeing pollen sacs within a week or so..
————MIDWEEK UPDATE ———
So it’s day 18 or 19 and this still looks like regular ass flowering plant. No real signs of pollen sacs. Worrying me.
Day 21 now I got formations that appear to be the beginning of male flowers so that’s good!

FINALLY!
Pollen sacs showing up yesterday and really obvious today.
21-22 days in.
All the donor fems are in there now so all we can do is cross fingers that timing works out for the females and pollination..
Last 10 pics are 27 days in .. very happy .. I think timing will be good on pollinating properly these fems

We are at that critical point where timing comes into play.
BB reversal is like 5 weeks in. Fem donors to be pollinated went in feb 16 and 20.. did two rounds to make sure something worked.
Reversed BB is just full of male pollen sacs, they are beginning to open up and show bananas. There’s a point between when they open up naturally and when that pollen is easily used, and it’s a couple days at least.
So if I pull a opened sac off now, try to open the bananas it’s somewhat difficult and often not much pollen in there... it’s just not quite ready. In a few days I’ll grab one and it’ll just like turn to dust damn near when I apply any force to it. That’s the time to start really trying to pollinate.
You can see tho, I got several pulled off and opened up and placed right on top of fem flowers.
We’re almost there! Now let’s just hope the couple fems I got going in another room don’t get much of this from it.. I got a couple in week 2-4 right now that would definitely be ripe for pollination.
Thanks for stopping by! Full details on process in first couple weeks write up!
BB reversal is now 45 days in to flower or 12/12
I’m really having to work the pollen out of these.. whereas with a male plant you would just see it kinda fall out at a certain ripeness.. part of that is cuz the buds are developing also and pinching it closed I think.
So every day I’ll pinch come sacs off and scatter pollen manually on each plants stigmas.
March 18 /
Obvious signs of fertilization showing..
Mainly on the pure indica - most top buds bracts are swollen indicating successful pollination/fertilization
Almost every fem seed donor showing swollen bracts..
very exciting as this means success.. never know how the genetics will play out but we will have seeds to work with
Pure indica should be loaded with hundreds.. Durban should have plenty too
march22
Today the fem reversal left the tent for good and was killed off in my backyard.
Pretty much done producing anything of substance at this point anyhow.
FYI - Go back to first few weeks for details on reversal process.
ALL plants do appear to have several fertilized bracts producing seed.
pure indica x BB looks like I’ll be in the several hundreds when all is said and done on that one.
Durban x BB looks like it will be producing well also.. probably easily get a hundred or so.
POTG x BB doesn’t look too full yet but it was a later addition to the tent. Definitely has seeds starting tho.
BBxBB also just has a few for sure ones pollinated.
This was a tedious process compared to regular breeding.
Now I went above and beyond to insure lots of seeds and be confident I’d have seeds at all.
This included the last 3 weeks, going in for about 15 min a day and squatting there pulling out ripe pollen sacs and opening them over top the stigmas of the donor fems..
These do NOT seem to act the same way that a reg male would. I noticed the pollen is less per sac, seems almost more dense or less of a fine pollen, also these do not like to open up on their own like a male would..
Other thing, these do not suppress the female hormones entirely.. so you can see there’s trichome covered leaves and bracts.. this is a trap for any pollen that does naturally come out. Whereas a male plant would not have this sticky substance to catch pollen..
These also are in dire need of an IPM treatment.. I’ve been holding off to keep moisture to minimum and insure maximum pollination .. but were to that point now it seems.
March 26
So the female blueberry reversal plant has been tossed. Everything’s looking awesome. Plants arent in tip top shape health wise but doing good overall.
I’m very happy to see swelling bracts.. also in the last couple days it’s become obvious that the pollination was successful up and down each branch. At first I was worried because I was basically sprinkling the pollen on the top bud and occasionally kind of shaking it to let it go down below to the lower nodes.
Also, the fertilization was first noticeable on the apical bud of each branch so I figured maybe that’s all that took the pollen.
Interestingly we’ve got kind of seeds growing outside of the bract. I don’t have extensive breeding experience by any means but I’ve never seen it quite like this. And two of the plants are displaying this not just one.. so I’m wondering if it’s a fan pollen thing but not quite sure.
Anyways overall very happy at this point.. we should have at the very least 100 of each cross. Probably looking at 2 or 300 for each.
I’m not quite sure how much longer we got on these. I’ll judge by the look of the seeds at first, surely won’t chop before they have ripened and turned brown..
I’d say they are probably three weeks or four weeks out.
They started flower at two different dates. 2/16 and 2/20 I believe. That means we’re about five weeks into flower give or take..
That’s all I got for this week. If you don’t see the procedure information yet, you can see it in the first several weeks I went through and broke down exactly what I did. In the near future I will update this on the computer and add that procedure to each week. If you got any questions, Feel free to DM me or comment
thanks for checking it out
Chugging along.
Much better fertilization rate than expected. All looking good up and down each branch. Almost all budsites are stacked with seeds even the lower ones
Moved to different tent cuz original one was a damn mess with plant matter and whatnot on the floor.
Only one that looks possibly behind us the PotG. I just think it’s a matter of not having seeds busting out the bracts quite like the others.
Very happy with the results
Check out previous weeks for procedure information. I’ll add them to each with soon. If not showing now go back to first couple weeks of the diary to see specifics on what I used, and how.
Moved into main flower room. Clean up time in pollen tent.
These are all doing amazing.
Bracts split open on most of them.. up and down the branches, overall couldn’t have asked for much better performance. Real happy with fertilization rates.
PotG 1 is a more spongey bud compared to the others here and that appears to be hiding the seeds a bit more. That’s just a guess as to why they aren’t popping out the bract like in the other couple plants. I’ll have hundreds from each plant easily. Very excited to run thru and pick em out. As much as trim jail sucks, I quite like seed harvesting.
Plants are all about 45 days into flower give or take, a few were staggered to help assure success- but all worked out well. You can tell which ones were a few days behind tho definitely.
So at least 2 weeks more.. hoping to see some maturing of the seeds soon. Probably run these a week past ripe and chop then.
Thanks for tuning in folks!
Boop beep. Fem seeds coming in hot
Would already been running with some new crosses if some seeds which were supposed to come in, had come in..
Bummed about that but that’s what happen with freebies..
I’ll update this more thoroughly later on hopefully but success on the seeds.
The BB s1 was the least successful with about 100+ seeds all together.
POTG x BB made 1000 or so
Pure Indica x BB made 1000 or so
Durban x BB made 500 or so
“Thanos” cut x BB made a few hundred.
All from a 3x3
I’m noticing a lot more immature and only partially completed seeds in all plants compared to regular MxF breeding.
Feel free to comment questions or DM.. learned a lot from this.
