Week 22/11 - 28/11 Feed: Just water

Tangerine Dream Auto - Barney‘s Farm Mein erster Indoor Keller-Grow neigt sich dem Ende zu. Es ist bunt geworden im Zelt. Die erste Blüte habe ich bereits vaporisiert und bin ziemlich begeistert vom Geschmack und der Wirkung. Leider habe ich aufgrund persönlicher Umstände nicht im Ansatz geschafft hier ein paar Tagebücher zu führen. Es war für mich ein extrem stressiger Winter und ich bin froh, dass ich wenigstens regelmäßig ein paar Fotos machen konnte. Der Anbauraum hatte zwischen den Pflanzen gemessen eine Minimaltemperatur von 17,4 Grad und während der Vegetationszeit konnte ich die Auto-Damen Tagsüber mit bis zu 28 Grad unter einer Sanlight Evo 4-120 1,5 verwöhnen. 18/6 - Licht/aus. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war in der Veggiephase bei ca. 65-75 Prozent im Zelt und in der Blütephase konnte ich sie Stück für Stück absenken auf 55-43 zum Ende hin. Gedüngt habe ich ein einziges Mal mit 1:20 sauberem Urin am Ende der dritten Woche. Ansonsten gieße ich auf das Terra Preta ähnliche Substrat ausschließlich mit hartem Leitungswasser mit Ph 7,6. Das Substrat wurde kurz nach der Sämlingsphase mit einer dicken Schicht Laub, Braun- und Grünschnitt Mulch abgedeckt, welchen ich zuvor dreißig Minuten bei 150 Grad im Ofen gedämpft habe (Sterilisation). Es kamen Nematoden, Raubmilben und Gelbtafeln zum Einsatz, weil wir mit einer ziemlich unangenehmen Trauermückenplage zu kämpfen hatten. Anfang der Blütephase kam es zu einer Nährstoffblokade aufgrund von Überwässerung. Das Substrat hält die Feuchtigkeit sehr lange und die Mulchschicht verhinderte ein Austrocknen des Substrats. Wir haben anfangs deutlich Zuviel gegossen und das Substrat nicht etwas austrocknen lassen. Nach Anpassung des Gießintervalls auf alle drei Tage mit ca. 2-2,5 Liter, löste sich das Problem nicht in Luft auf, aber wir konnten es aufhalten. Meine Pflanzen sind bereits geerntet und hängen zum Trocknen. Viel Spaß mit den farbenfrohen Bildern. Happy Growing! 💚

Bonus material- my cannabutter pics. No smoke report for a while but I can give you an edibles report in a few hours 😂 Plant #1 suffered gravely and thus was harvested early, dried, and turned into beaaautiful butter/edibles hehe. The rest of it is box drying and I'll be doing the same with that. The top of the plant (first harvest of sorts, after bud rot discovered) was 49g dry, not inc ofc what was binned. I'll let you know the dry weight of the rest but no point giving you a smoke report. She was cut early and suffered a looooot The purple lemonade began as the underdog and quickly took over as my #1 babe. It was far more resilient to environmental conditions and changes- and let's not forget that they went through a hurricane with me and power out for a few days! I don't find her strong on the nose at all despite how big some of her buds are, and how frosty. Very piney, and that dominates everything else. Very excited to see what terps come out more in the cure though- I hear great things about this strain. She was cut today and is hanging in a dark closet with small fan, RH 65% and temp 22c. I did not take a wet weight, but she's heavy. Super looking forward to smoking this one, after a few more weeks of TLC... Sigh. Always we try to wait haha. I've definitely got the bug now and there'll be no stopping me haha Will be back with smoke report and dry weights laterrr 🇨🇦 --- Nov 12 - Plant dried for 6 days. It is a lot airier than I thought it was going to be, so most of it ended up as shake for edibles or something. I ended up with 38g of big bud, 33 of smaller, and over 40g of larf and shake. Even the big buds are airy though, not dense at all. A little disappointing for sure, but I made a lot of mistakes so it isn't a surprise. It is now in jars with humidity packs and I'll report back in a couple of weeks or so with a smoke report :)

Day 77...the one grown in soil that survived the dog attack when young, stopped drinking a couple of weeks ago, so got the chop...drying under a tree for 4 days the other 2 grown in coco are doing great and still perhaps a couple of weeks away

Began week 4 yesterday and gave her a defol, she loved it! Her flowers are starting to look really pretty too! Honestly can't wait to harvest this lady.

Had to do a root wash, again, also cut some really bad roots of, also saw lots of new healthy root growths since last week, upping ORP and wash last week seemed to have helped. Overall still very unhappy but that is on me, learned that prepping a plant in DWC and then transplant it to NFT is not a good idea, better do it as usual directly in NFT so that the roots follow the stream better, usually at this time there would be at least 3x the amount of roots. Also switched back to the 10cm diameter tube, will stick with that one from now on, very good experiences in the past and this one does not, maybe RH does not rise enough in a 16cm diameter tube. Also changed the light cycle to 18/6 from 24/0, in the timelapse I see phases where the leafs droop slightly and come back, kind of like the night cycle but less, seems to me like the plant wants to go to "sleep" even tough it was raised in 24/0 and I have good experiences with 18/6. Hey fellow growers! Week 3 of Bloom is completed, and everything has gone smoothly so far. The plants are well taken care of and haven’t shown any signs of deficiency. Week6 of bloom, feeding Cal-mag+Floranova Bloom, both at 1tsp/gal. Each plant receives a glug or two from a 1gallon mixture. Runoff is removed. New Clones of different phenos have entered the arena! Happy growing!

2017-09-11. Kl 12.00. Week 4 starts. I have cleaned the whole room for the new week and gave the girls water and nutes. Added videos and pics. The girl is 30 cm high and has grown 9 cm the last 4 days. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-16. Kl 10.00. She is growing like crazy and needs to get defoliated every morning. So far the girls are doing okay. I had a little problem with stretching at the beginning which is why you see me supporting them with the yoyos. Next grow I will start with the fluorescent light extremely close. I will grow 2 of these plants with only organic nutrients n the other 3 with synthetic to see which comes out better.

Week 2 Flower (3/07/22 - 3/13/22)

This was a great grow, learning new plants and genetics, Spliff seed is very solid and you can expect the same consistency each seed. I want to grow them all and see if they all fall into place with their signature work!

A step back recently: Started a final flush (2 days in), and decided to start feeding her again - thanks to some great GD input! 250 ppm at re-start and will work my way to 500ppm? She's still rockin' along - like nothing happened. She topped out at 350 ppm without tanking PH, so she is stable here. PH is now swinging down fairly quickly last 12 hours. Drained off 1/3 of reservoir and get reservoir down to 250PPM. 5 days later, major PH swings down again. Mixed another fresh reservoir. I am using Zero Water 5 gallon system, and just realized the PPM coming out was 100, and PH at 3! If I am at 100 today, that means these filters have been shot for a while, maybe since start of my PH issue. There is also interesting information about when zero water filters reach their expectancy. They put out fishy smell and otherwise. I will be watching my filters more often and taking more notes since this ZeroWater 5 gal system is really the way to go if you are only growing a plant or two. Filters are a bit spendy but when you take time, gas, convenience etc. its a no brainer (if the water coming out is zero:) - I get about 15 gallons per filter (175ppm from tap). Day 70. It’s been about a day since new res change. Steady Eddie at 250 ppm and 6.2. I’ll let her drink the bucket down a good ways if things remain stable with a drift down. I doubt it though, 5 gallon is fine for 12” autos but at 2’ she really needed 8 gal. Time to up the R&D on the cabinet! Also checked Zero Water again and filter is now putting out 200ppm of 3.0 water. New filters installed! Hope she finishes soon, the top of her canopy slowly getting cooked over the last 10 days. 8" of light distance is too little. PPFD 2000+ at the top, but leaf temps are in the upper 70's. Gotta hit a decent DLI on these lower buds - without nuking the top nugs, right?! As the week concludes, she’s in a fresh bath, at 250ppm @ 6.0 and running stable again. New water filters installed so zero water variable removed. Last serving of half+ teaspoon of GH dry KB ripening, and will reduce ppm by 25/day until I reach 10-15%. 1-2 day flush, if at all.
