Waxing moon seemed to really help the seeds sprout. First quarter was on the 9th April, optimal for germination. One of the Lemon seeds didn’t shoot the roots out of the seed shell, so I removed it and uncovered the roots We’ll see how that goes Update: The seedlings broke the surface! Except for the defective Lemon one, which is a bit behind, but you can see it barely popping out

Hey should I have 2 separate diaries, one for each single strain? Initially I wanted to do one diary for each year, but then remembered I have different strains and that the diary is also made to track each strain separately. Thanks

So my 1 week plant just folded on itself like it snapped. Never seen this happen before. I propped it up and hope it recovers. Any reason why it did that?

Give it a chance to come back to life if not just start over. That happens when over watering or not enough water also very high/low RH is no good for them. When they seedlings its like real babies u have to be on top of them . Good luck 👍

This week went kinda badly, but I still got hope: - Unfortunately the healthy lemon seedling damped off and died because of too much water😞. I'm not the one watering them during the week, I'll make instructions clearer. - Luckily I still had one RQS Lemon seed from the 3 pack, so after the other one died I started germination. Right now hopefully the roots are coming out (and not the leaves like the defective one), I'll probably be able to plant it tomorrow. It will be a week late compared to the other two, but it's still a good save since I still have 2 Lemon plants like planned. -As you can see the defective Lemon seed is still very small, I don't know if it's ok or if it will make it, it's been weird since the start. These days I'm putting them outside directly under the sun, so maybe that will help to also dry them off a bit from the over-watering (way less in these 2)

So this rqs Lemon seed during germination came out with the leaves first, so I removed the seed shell to uncover the roots, because I didn’t know if planting it anyway would’ve been good. Now it’s been 20 days and it’s still so small. Will it make it?

I'm going to be honest here and say it doesn't look really good... and I think you'll have to give up on her. But let me tell you some of the things you might want to do differently next time. First of all, try a different germination method. I know a lot of people germinate as you've done but I happen to like simply putting my seed in the soil, giving it a bit of a drink to moisten the soil around and under it (I've even been known to completely SOAK the pot of soil before putting in the seed since then I know I won't have to water the seedling for at LEAST a week but by the time it germinates, the soil is damp enough to sustain the seedling). I then cover the pot with something light cannot penetrate (a pot saucer? a cookie sheet? a pan lid?). I then cover all of that with a plastic bag to keep all the moisture inside... and I don't open it up for at least 3 days at which point they've just popped or are about to pop (if they haven't popped, they get covered back up for another day until they DO pop... and unfortunately, not all of them do). Now, the reason I like this so much better is because I am not running the risk of damaging the tender sprout when I have to take it from that glass of water and stick it in soil... it's already there and as SOON as that tap root emerges, it's "feeding" itself. Next up is a confirmation of what you already know... they don't like to be drowned with too much water around the roots - but they DO need high humidity because this is actually how they get their water at the very beginning... not so much from the roots! Some people will place clear plastic domes over their seedlings to preserve the humidity... me, I do things again just a little differently... I don't want to run the risk of mold at this stage (or any!) and so good air movement is also quite important. To strike the balance, I take a small towel or washcloth or a bunch of paper towels and soak them in water and encircle the seedling so that there is good humidity around it - but the top is still open and fresh air is still getting to it. One of the things I saw in your diary was that your humidity level was terribly low... you need to maintain at least 60-65% humidity during the vegetative stage! When your plants get large enough so they don't need the micro-zone of humidity the sprouts need and yet your tent isn't humid enough, just hang wet towels inside your tent and that should raise the overall humidity level to where it's good... Finally, your plants need a lot more light than the 13 hours you're giving them... If they're autoflowers, they can and DO tolerate 24/7 light... Most people, however, have found 18/6 to be ideal and this is perfect for photoperiods until you want to flip them to flower. I don't know what got into me... I've been rambling on and on but I hope there's at least something is some of what I've said that will be of some help. It's terribly discouraging to have some seeds and imagine a great harvest only to have the seedlings die off or not even germinate (please do know, not all of them do)... So take what you like from what I've said, try it out, and pitch the rest of what I've said! Good luck... and if you need clarification on anything I've yabbered on about, just msg me!

Critical: 2 weeks, good shape New Lemon: 1 week, good shape Defective lemon: 👎🏻 The defective lemon seedling isn't making any progress, I don’t know how I could help it. Someone remembered me they need perfect conditions and lighting, but I don’t use lamps. They’re outdoor plants so they don’t need all the fancy stuff, they’ll make it if they want to, otherwise they die. Right now they’re all inside in front of a window oriented southward. Last year I didn’t have any problems doing it like this for the starting period but looks like this seed was badly damaged. I’ll probably throw it out and remove it from the diary. Then I can plant one of the random seeds I have and keep it out of the diary :(

nothing much to say, the critical and the new lemon seedling are doing fine, while the defective one is not putting on any height. I covered its stem because it looked weak, I'll keep it as long as it survives

This could be down to the environment. While seedlings they take in moisture through the leaves. With your humidity outside being so low is probably causing the leaves to dry out. I try and keep mine inside until after they have finished seedling stage.

They are showing a bit of yellowing and have droopy leaves, solved by finally putting them outside with the light they need

Unfortunately they haven’t been under my care, so I couldn’t prevent the damages. The two tall ones are clearly in distress, I’m going to put them in the bigger pot this weekend and cure them with nutrients to help them. I also couldn’t help myself and planted a random unknown seed I had, which is my backup seed, which I have been caring for and it looks better than ever

29/05 weekend I planted the critical and the new lemon in the final pots. The other pot is for a random seed or my “backup seed” which has grown far more than these two. The defective lemon isn’t gonna make it I think, it lacks roots and isn’t growing. This weekend I’m going to mix some nutrient powder that will have an 8 week slow release of nutrients, and we’ll see if it’s just that or just bad seed genetics

16th of august 19th week for the critical, 17th for the new lemon, which is now the only one Haven’t updated for a while: -Defective lemon is officially out -Critical and lemon growing strong -bit of yellowing on the lemon, added couple of coffee grounds and the leaves turned green the days after -I had a random seed which grew faster than both the rqs, I’m gonna keep it as an addition in the diary without having it listed and not counting its yield at the end. I made the stem split by stressing too much with the pulling, happened last year to all 3 my plants but they seem to no care and still grow

10th of September 22nd week for the Critical 20th for the Lemon Autumn has come, basically since half of August. The plants don’t seem to mind the night temperature of 10°C, they look very healthy I didn’t add more biobloom, but it’s a slow release powder so it’s still in there till around the 29th

25th of September 24th week for the Critical 22nd week for the Lemon Critical has very fat buds but not so much stacking only 3 or 4, healthy dark green wide leaves Lemon had a slight yellowing and buds are not as closely stacked, they are smaller but each branch has 7 or 8 Random one is currently the best as buds size and stacking. Nice size, 8-9 closely stacked and with many sugar leaves. It started to show some yellow leaves, so I mixed some coffee grounds in it and into the Lemon one too. It should fix the Nitrogen deficiency Next week I’ll ad the PK Booster

pics from 20th and 22nd October 26th for lemon It's the second year ever for me, and I talked to some people because I still get 8g per plant, and it's because of the mainlining and toppings I do at wrong times, and also because an outdoor plant doesn't always get the perfect sunlight and energy to repair itself enough. so the stress might be it. next year I'll try bending the main stem and never doing topping
