Surprised by how well the water is wicked to the medium from the water bottle, it took a long time, but wick works as intended. I was unsure how much if any nutrient would be transferred via wick but the high salt content altered pH at certain parts. Right before the symptoms arose I decided to supercrop the stem top to bottom on one plant, shortly thereafter the burning happened from the same plant from running 8.0 pH, and nutrient uptake ground to a halt on the plant that was dealing with stress. She doesn't seem happy. Remedied with aluminum sulfate, things seem to be coming back to normal. I need to be more careful with salts. I need MOAR knowledge. How many weeks shall we veg? Going to take a while to fill that canopy with just two plants, should probably start topping now but I'll wait until pH problem Is remedied first, a couple more days hopefully 🙏. I defoliated maybe 6 bigger leaves that had burned yellow on one plant, as it comes back to optimal range, this will be a good opportunity to observe the subtle differences that early defoliation can make. Added a pound of tourmaline powder and biochar, both increase soil urease and invertase activities. *2025 Didn't charge the biochar skewing my ph drastically. Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 and is a key component in the nitrogen cycle in soils. Invertase (d-fructofuranosidfructohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.26) is the enzyme that capable both break down α-1,4-glycosidic linkage between d-glucose and d-fructose of sucrose and transferring αβ-D-O-fructofuranoside residue to an acceptor substrate (Toledo et al., 2019). Since tourmaline is widely distributed in the natural environment and has many excellent physical and chemical properties including radiating far infrared energy, permanently releasing negative ions, producing an electrostatic field, releasing rare microelements, and stimulating the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and plants, tourmaline had been conducted to alleviate potential environmental pollution. Update Day 22 flowering: A good week of bud building this week for the Fft Girls. FFT#8 Is still in here but not a lot tonsay about her really sadly I didn't get to try this one out properly but will try again sometime. FFT#9 Has been a dream to work with and build so far . Her progression this week on her flower building has been perfection. Her ruderalis traits had her stretch about finished at day 12 and she had begun to flower properly. I did a defoliate at day 19 instead of day 21 due to their faster genetics. They looked stripped below decks but by day 21 they refilled a few back out and now look leafed up again. lol She has a little tackiness tot her stems now and is picking up a nice piney smell. She has some great looking mains now and should be a good yielder. FFT#10 Another winner in my book. This lady wanted to grow her own way initially but has now accepted her fate and behaves as i wanted niw. lol. Her budstacks are a little wider apart due to her indica/sativa ratios being more indica I feel . Her dark green colour is so stark in contrast to the other strains too. Her stacks look more leafy orientated than the other strains too. i defoliated her too but she responded quickly with sugar leaf growth. Her bud sizes are looking promising to say she has 4-5 weeks to go so fingers crossed for baseball bat colas. She has been easy to grow with no issues at any point so far. prior to the defol , I had purposely dried them out to get a cycle going better of wet /dry. She showed her disapproval first with major leaf drooping across her whole frame. She is a thirsty girl too. I am happy with all of these testers and impressed at their rapid development too. I do think the new sp3000 has plated a part in this development too as the extra reds and stuff added are more for the flowering cycle than previous sp series ones. the Sp250 is giving me a great addition to the outside edge of the girls so should keep them all in max lumens until the harvest. Gave some extra grow B in this week as it is higher in P and K and will act as a small PK boost for the stretch that is to come. Flipped my plants to flower as well so they are now on a 12/12 setting. Been using the medic grows mini sun 2's internal timer in the lights and they appear to be working just fine. They have pre-programmed setting of 12/16/18/20/22 "on" cycles, I thought it might have been hold the dial till the number you want came up but its not that fancy. As of now my photoperiod is from 1:30pm-1:30am but I might move this up to 12pm-12am so when I need to look at my plants I'm not waiting till the afternoon. Its really only an issue on the days I'm working. over all happy with the progress, Plants are drinking lots so I'm happy with that. Lights still running at 80% with V1 spectrum, will increase to 100% after stretch, don't need to growing into them and burning up. Purple Pheno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ripening nicely. She is super smelly. Smells like fruity gape. Have 2 carbon filters going and it doesn't even touch the smell. Noticed a little burn on the tips of the leaves so backed off a little on the nutes. Coasting toward the finish line. Maybe three weeks?😁

I did a really big stress training pulling the branches way down on a 32nd day on the 33rd day the branches shut right back up this LSD plant is very strong and I’m looking forward to big buds

They’re hungry and sucked up their second dose of heavy feed. But this time it’s the bloom solution. Sf2000 at full power! One plant has a clear genetics problem and I fear I’ll have to set my controls just to handle the good pheno and hope for the best with tiny Tim.

Start of week 8 (day 50). Started the week off with a little recharge&water. I had to rig up some branch supports to compensate for compounding nugs. I'm pretty sure a pack of papers is a standard measurement? I've been struggling to get out of bed from knee pain (awaiting my 3rd surgery). And really not sleeping at all. The nutrient and watering schedules remained unchanged, with EC and pH levels stable at optimal values, both in the nutrient solution and the drain. Humidity was slightly reduced to 60%, while temperatures stayed in the range of 22 to 26 degrees Celsius. The plants kept growing at an impressive rate and developed enormous side branches. Without any additional training, by the end of the week, they formed 16 to 18 main side buds along with a strong central head bud. The genetics of these plants proved to be absolutely outstanding.

Todo su desarrollo fue perfecto, no tuve ningún problema con nada, la planta se fue formando sola de manera perfecta. Me sorprende los pesados que son los cogollos y lo lleno de resina que están, en un mes aproximadamente pretendo ya probarlo para ver que onda el pegue. Solo tuve un problema que fue culpa mía por el tema de la humedad ya que una pequeña parte de la planta fue afectada por moho, pude solucionarlo rápido y sin ningún inconveniente alguno. Como ya dije más arriba recomiendo el banco de semillas de BSF SEED, las mejores plantas que tuve fueron gracias a sus semillas de muy buena calidad.

The ladies are packing on beautifully and we are now giving them extra strength light during 12:00 till 14:00 slot 100% and lowering the light back down to 75% from 14:00 till 17:00 and then 50% light from 17:00 till 23:00. Lets see what happens

08/29/24. Going into week 9 flower It’s day 65 out of stated 64. We’re done? Nah lol. Trichs don’t agree, or didn’t a couple days ago. I’ll be checking them again today, but my guess is still a week or so to go. Nothing to update on really other than we’re going water only now and decreased light intensity to about 55%. Will update if anything changes. Update: 09/03/24. Euphoria is no longer with the living. She was taken last night and is hanging fully in a dark closet at 61/72 with a small fan for air movement. It’s pointed down and not blowing at her. I don’t have a way to wet weigh, I always just give dry weight so no point in doing the harvest update week yet. I will do that when she’s dry and ready to cure.
