Everything going as planned. Still very happy plan on starting my flush in the next week or so

Day 22 - Plant is 6 inches tall. Tons of roots sticking down into the water. Checked PPM 215. PAR/PPFD ranges from 200 to 270 at the height of the plant. Day 25 - Plant is 9 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Water dropped a lot. PPM was 100. Added 2 gallons of RO. Added 10 mL of CalMag. Added 10 mL of the 3 base nutes Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of each of the additives. PPM was 515. Day 26 - Plant is 11 inches tall. Fast growth! Short and bushy. Roots are thick as spaghetti noodles and formed a thick rootball. Nearly a dozen budsites. Stem is thicker then a pencil. Day 27 - PPM is 415 in am. Afternoon PPM is 370. Plant is 12 inches tall. PAR/PPFD is 400 to 450 near the top of the plant. DLI is 27 based on 20 hours on and 4 hours off. Late night checked PPM 375. Added 10 mL of Micro Grow and Bloom nutes. PPM is 810. Day 28 - PPM is 775. The plant is getting huge. The stock is about as thick as a Bic lighter. Plant is 13 inches tall.

Coming to the end of this journey. This week was about checking trichomes and waiting till the best opportunity to harvest. Very resinous buds. F73.. Chop Day.

My biggest harvest yet from a single plant! Closing in on 1 pound per plant which is very exciting. I could have vegged this plant longer but it still takes forever to mature. It never produces amber trichomes in my hands and just stops growing even though it's still consuming nutrients. This is the nicest LST/topping job that I have done yet and every branch produced a massive cola. I lost one cola to white mold but I have busted up the rest and inspected everything so I think it was an isolated incident. It smells amazing and it's gonna cure in the jars now! Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.

Another week successfully completed... All the plants are developing very well, the flowers are plumping up nicely, and all the plants smell great... Everything is as expected, and now we're closer to the end than before... Happy growing to all! 🌱🌿💪

Petite taille effectué, j’ai coupé l’apex et j’ai laisser seulement le noeud juste en dessous de celui qui étais le plus développé, pour vois si les deux repousse de l’apex et celle du noeud en dessous arrive à la même taille/croissance , afin d’être le plus symétrique possible. Car avant tous je suis passionné par l’art végétal et le bonsaï, j’ai commencé à cultiver du cannabis il y a maintenant 3ans, un été j’ai planté une petite graines dans un bête terreaux vide de nutriments, et là tout a commencé. Mais comme dis précédemment j’aimais l’art, et ce plant en question je l’ai transformé en bonsaï, un magnifique bonsaï, un chef d’œuvre, au quel j’ai perdu toutes photos. L’année d’après j’ai recommencé le même scénario, une graine et on recommence, la se fut un échec, plant trop gourmand et trop sensible au stress, il m’a lâché à 3/4semaine de floraison, puis maintenant 1ans que je cultive en intérieur a rechercher une bonne recette de living soil, toujours à la recherche de perfection jusqu’à couper avant même la fin de floraison car j’étais pas satisfait du résultat. (C’est pour ça aussi que j’ai supprimé tous mes journaux) J’ai coupé deux cultures comme ça et j’ai fais qu’une récoltes sur la troisième. Maintenant celle qui m’excite le plus est la petite graine d’extérieur, oui comme on dit jamais deux sans trois, plus de 1ans que j’attends cette variété, la Frosty purple freak. Le mutant violet de chez Khalifa Genetic. Que je vais bien évidemment travailler comme un bonsaï, mais symétrique , je vais éviter de trop le stresser comme j’ai eu du retard sur la croissance du a certain imprévu de type limace et temps catastrophique. (2 graines bien planté dans mon derrière.) je vais essayer de bien le diriger tous en essayant d’avoir une certaine récolte, en faire un bonsaï crée d’énormes stress au plant et ralenti considérablement la croissance, pour essayer de récolter 50/100 grammes sur le plant en extérieur faudrais approcher les 3/4 mois de végétation si tu implique des haut stress training et de la coupe a gogo. Et j’avoue que j’ai pas payer plus de 50litre de living soil juste pour 15/20 grammes de récoltes sur le plant, même si la satisfaction d’avoir fait une œuvre d’art, ça ne vaut pas le coup, je ferais mieux l’année prochaines, je dois accepter cette défaite. J’ai mis des vidéo de mon deuxième bonsaï, il étais en début de floraison et il avait environ 4mois, sans nutriments ,je lui estimais 30/50 grammes en fin de Flo, mais il m’a lâcher. Dans les deux dernières vidéo, il y en a une où on voit bien le dépôt bactérien et nutritifs du thé de compost oxygéné. Recette du thé pour la semaine 15litre d’eau de pluie 30 gr guano guali 15 gr Meal wormcastings 15 gr nettle 7 gr spirulina 7 gr Hydrosolat Kelp 225 gr wormcastings 15 gr hydrolysât de poisson 15 gr Comfrey 10 gr levure saccharomyces cerevisiae souches lycc 6420 60 gr Zeolit of chabasit 15 gr Azomite 45 ml de mélasse 15ml d’acide Humic et fluvic J’ai arroser 6 litre pour la purple freak et le reste a d’autre plantes Et un autre arrosage avec 500ml d’eau neutre avec 1gr bacilllus amyloliquefaciens x5 qui a été effectué le lendemain du thé La culture se passe bien, du côté de la purple freak Aucun problème à déplorer, plant très résistant, au changement de température et condition climatique supporte très bien les orages et les temps pluvieux et chaud, pas de signe de maladie, j’ai actuellement des ravageur depuis le début de la culture, pas un signe de problème. Réagit très bien au coupe, j’en suis plus que ravie, elle fait partis de mon top1. Seul truc qui m’inquiète, c’est ce mauvais temps. Un mélange de chaleur et de pluie, qui a amené de l’oidium sur certaine de mes plantes extérieur, j’ai peur que cela se propage sur la purple freak. Je vais devoir traiter tous cas, sans traitement agressif bien sûr.

Water change day .. Drinking. 2000 ml each per day.. So 6 days on the nute change... ******************* 2 Buckets done .. 5 Left . I may leave the caramel cream autos until tomorrow , they are drinking slightly less per day , but the big girls are drinkers for sure .... So getting better at mixing nutes, bought giant bag of disposable droppers, god damn so much easier for me . I have visual impairment, and shaky hands from the brain tumors. The visual impairment is bad, but the shakes come and go . I normally get a few good rips on the Dr Dabber Switch before i start to help. But the mixing went much better . less mess and i simply pitched the pipette after each use . YEs i know wasteful .... but for me , for now its what i have to do. 1 pipette for each nute for each bucket, they are cheap enough. This way not contaminating anything, and at the amount im mixing, 3 mils - 20 mils each . Biggest problem i have, and i guess maybe not a bad problem ... I have 4 girls on one side of the 4x9 tent, and 3 on the other. The four on the one side are all Glue Gelato Autos and my lord I can not get to the back left side bucket at all with the amount of foliage. So moved a bucket to the other side to allow me to drop in a pail to do a siphon out and refill. See pictures... So I am 10000% upgrading to the 13 gallon x 8 fall ponic system after this grow ..... THANK GOD the caramel cream autos are half the size and 1 of the glue gelatos is slightly smaller on the right to allow me to move around the tent slightly, and im a lean dude.... But i am surprised each day when i check the progress just how far they have come for my first try ... Still have low expectationsfor crops and yields , but am loving the time learning and getting to know hydroponics. I TOTALLY get when the OG growers say just listen to them they will tell you what they need, legit all i have done is feed, maintain enviroment and observe. positive i can not make the same moistakes i made so far net time just by learning my lessons and understanding better the purpose for each Nute and how to spot when the plants are asking for them . Hello. This is the end of week 8. I've found some white powdery mildew... so I'm going to harvest tomorrow. I'd rather harvest than try to fight the WPM for another week. It's getting down to 15* c in the greenhouse overnight now, even with the heat on. I'm liking the plant #3 so I'm going to try to reveg it. I'll spray it for bugs and bring it into the workshop with some heat on the roots... it should reveg. Back in a couple of weeks with the harvest report. I've shown the last 2 pages from the underground comic Weirdo #10. I'll start some other underground comic next diaries. I went to the grow shop yesterday and saw the free mag. Great germination for this lady, on first week of veg, she's a cracker already, I will be growing this one along side the wedding cheesecake, will be chucking her in to a 20L pot closer to flower 🌼 happy days 👌 happy growing and stay green ✌️ 💚 👌
