Week 10 Flower After 4 whole weeks of flush this girl has finally met the scissors ✂️ It took her quite some time to fade out, but after cutting down the most faded half of the plant that was closest to the light on Day 65, and then the rest on Day 70 it was long enough. I'm very impressed with how fat and chunky this girl has become. I wasn't expecting quite this size from first look at her thinner stems and branchy structure earlier in flower, but her buds have swelled up nonetheless and she's stacked well. I always cut my girls down around half an hour (or a bit more) before the lights are due to turn on. This prevents her from starting any chlorophyll production in order to maintain the best flavour and burn. Only a few fans were taken off before being left to hang dry as she's absolutely covered in trichomes! Don't throw away your sugar trim (leaves with trichomes) as this can later be used for dry sift, which can then be pressed for some dank rosin. Harvest update coming soon! This week I decided to start feeding her some nutes. She went through some serious lollipopping aswell 😳..😆!! So she basically received a bloom booster ( 1: 12:12 ), I also added some potassium booster ( 0:0:35 ). I think she loves her nutes alot! She gave me a good stretch and formed much more bud sites which has me all excited 😊..

On day 1 I changed out my reservoir. I lowered my nutes to 650 ppm(25% reduction). I adjusted the PH down to 6.1. My left plant has some burnt tips from either PH shift or over fertilization. My hope is that the lower ppm will help to resolve the issue before it spreads. On day 2 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.3 to 5.9. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.0. I installed my new 200 watt HLG Rspec. I adjusted PPFD readings to 700-1300 PPFD on all tops. On day 4 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.8 to 6.2. On day 5 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.4 to 6.0. I diluted my nutrients in my reservoir by removing one gallon of nutrients from the rez and and adding 2 gallons of straight tap water to the rez. This brought the nute concentration from 770 ppm to 540 ppm as the plants will be entering the ripening stage in a few days and they have too much nitrogen judging by the extremely dark green leaves and burnt leaf tips on some branches of the left side plant. The buds seem slightly smaller then my last run which may be due to an excess of nitrogen and maybe not enough light as some of my tops are taller then the others making proper PPFD challenging. All in all the girls are coming along nice and I look forward to the final weeks of flowering 😀 On day 6 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.9 to 6.2. I think I have halted the nute burn as I haven't seen it progressing any more on the leaves. I will continue to monitor closely during these final weeks. The trichome production is increasing with some trichs on top of colas starting to go cloudy. The pistils are turning brown with roughly 40-50% are turning brown all signs I'm getting closer to the harvest window 😆. I dimmed my light to give 600-1000 PPFD to tops. On day 7 I reduced my temps to 75 during the day and 68 at night. I adjusted the PH of the reservoir from 6.6 to 6.1. My reservoirs ppm was too high so I diluted the rez with 2 gal of tap water. This brought it down to 480ppm. The average ppfd to all 14 tops is 604 with no top receiving more than 1000 ppfd

- Not much activity happening on my part just watering as usual 4L every 2/3 days. - The plants however are getting fatter by the day truly amazing how things are going! The plants are in heaven!!

Here we are at the halfway point, after the first month our photoperiod plants are multiplying their florets and then going into flowering. The Purple Urkle has just undergone the topping of 8 florets, you can see the 4 fresh florets just cut. So we are at 8 very small branches growing my program for photoperiodic plants is to get to 16 wait a few days and move on to flowering. 16 Tops as I see it is the perfect size for the 11 liter pot. You are going strong from the beginning there was a bit of a shortage but as I explain this week during the topping everything changes. We are in competitive days, the world lives the competition in a lively way and so if someone were to ask me or were interested which is the best of the photoperiodic plants I have inside for now I would say the Purple Urkle. Topping is an extremely delicate moment as regards cutting the tops to split them, we always take care not to damage the new branches in growth. Topping is also a delicate moment as regards fertilization because the plant slows down and absolutely does not need all that nitrogen that it would normally need and that the producers recommend in their sheets. So you should arrive with the plant green and perfectly fit at this point and dose the fertilizer very well for growth. Mine came from a slightly deficient veg because I kept it low fearing this over effect during the topping that I know well and now they are a bit over. Nothing to worry about, of course, but if you do repeated topping my advice is to use preferred soil or prepare the soil with Monster Bud Mix by Zamnesia or Plagron Super Mix, in short, enrich the soil and from the start and add nitrogen only if necessary, especially during repeated topping. In any case, everything is under control and I will demonstrate it to you during the flowering phase. Wait for the Uncle BreadandBuds and see what he does. Remember the cold temperature makes the girls absorb food much more slowly than in summer so be careful to give the right amount and to dry the plant in maximum 2 days or you risk imbalances. I think I read once that shortly before the end it is normal for the plants to draw all their nutrients from the leaves. So everything looks good, I think. Esta vez ya se utilizó Flawless Finish para este último proceso, una vez secándose el sustrato se comienza con la cosecha. Ha sido un buen cultivo. Veremos como termina esto. Seguimos ! 👽💪

Explosive growth again all round,.. all are flowering now and looking healthy, not going to be like last year's 7ft plants but that's on purpose, roll on next week and hope the sun stays out like it has been because they are loving it at the moment 😀 👍👌

July 27: staring week 7 and she seems to be preflowering but I’m going to force flower this auto by sticking it in the dark garage with my photoperiod plants. The change to 12 h of darkness for a couple weeks should kick it into flowering mode. I’ve seen a few growers commenting that their Auto Overdose wasn’t auto flowering and I don’t want to wait any longer to find out. It’s the end of July and things need to be flowering by now to finish in time before winter. The stem I broke a few days ago is showing signs of life and looks like it will more or less recover. Update: Changed my mind and removed stem as it was slowing overall growth. Cut the loss and move forward. C’est La vie, etc. July 28: plant has an okay shape considering I broke a stem. Nice lower branches came up after the plant was topped. Looks promising. July 31: looking good. Removed a single large fan leaf at the top that was shading too many bud sites.

15.06.25. Day 46. Just a reminder that 2 seedlings died at start of grow. Big plant is drinking alot of water, I had to top up her reservoir with about 2 liters of water on 2 sperate occasions. 2nd time doing Brix levels...some ladies went from a Brix of 4 to a Brix of 10 while 2 only went from a Brix of 4 to 6. I am pleased with their progress upwards. Dam just learned you should take leaves for testing 2 hours after lights on....I took leaves from dark period 😣. Will update with new Brix numbers taken with lights on. Chopping is coming very soon. I will tag the Brix of each plant when I hang to dry so I'm able to keep track of how the higher Brix relates to taste, smell and potency😎 😁The ladies noticeably got fatter over night!(Nov 11th). Man they really enjoyed that last watering, hope this continues into next week. Just read to take your Brix leaves in a "Z" or "W" pattern as older leaves will contain higher carbs. The refracted light tells us the amount of carbs in the "juice or sap" and minerals too like calcium, proteins and fats (lipids). High Brix enables weed to produce secondary metabolites = greater medicinal value. Sucrose/sugar (Carbs) & mineral levels in the fruit or flower translates or relates to taste. A tasteless 3 Brix tomato from the grocery store or a 14 Brix tomato from OMG you grow delicious tomatoes. Death to covalent bonding! (My goal a 20 Brix😀 Won't be happening with this grow but will be the next😁). Read that most people can detect a half point difference in Brix in the flavour. Lots of smell coming from these Gorilla Girls😵 I can only go so far with plant chemistry and then I get a headache and get lost😔

Recovering week of 3 plants after nutrient deficiencies. Self note: don’t play around with new brand of nutrients. Switching biobizz calmag (basically water) to camgboost from aptus. Foliar feed camagboost 5ml/lt ph 5.8 to recover from calcium and magnesium deficiency which created other problems, specially plant #4. Changing to an organo-mineral grow with aptus. Will use just base nutrients from bio bizz (giving away calmag from bio bizz to a friend 😃) and booster exclusively from aptus. Planning to switch to flower as soon I see full recovery; probably end of the week or beginning of next week. Auto pot system has been turn on after 20 days of potting.
