This diary will be focus on Biscottis by Zamnesia. This seedling will share the 3x3 grow box and the 150 watt lamp during veg (250 watt during flo). As always I'll grow Biscotti in hydroponic DWC setup, this time in 20 liters pots, with Vents TT125 for air extraction and Hailea air pump! About the nutrients, I got some products by Plagron that I can use in DWC (Power Buds and Green Sensation), then I bought Hydro roots and A+B to complete the line! 🗓️ About my plan: 🌱- Seedling stage: 18/6 - 50/75 watt (2 weeks) 🌿- Early veg stage: 18/6 - 100 watt (4 weeks) 🌿- Late veg stage: 16/8 - 150 watt (5 weeks) 🌸- Flowering +🍊Ripen stage: 12/12 - 250 watt (9/10 weeks) Biscotti is made up of South Florida OG and Gelato genetics and contains 22–25% THC—plenty to get your body buzzing from head to toe. The genetic profile of the plant is 80% indica and 20% sativa, with effects that make you feel relaxed but creative at the same time. Biscotti plants produce dark green foliage and plenty of pistils, and buds are small and dense. Indoors, Biscotti usually grows to a respectable 130–150cm and offers yields amounting to 550–650g/m². 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 GROW JOURNAL 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 🗓️ WEEK RESUME // DAY 1-7 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 60 cm distance / 50 watt; ⌛- 24/0 till the sprout, then 18/6 light cycle; 🌡️- 28° C - 70% RH average; 📑- Checking PH and EC once/day; 💧- Watering twice/day trough the clay. Five cm gap between netpot and the solution; 🍔- Seedling blend: Hydro roots 0.5 ml/l + Hydro A-B 0.2 ml/l; ⚙️- Air extractor ON when I need to keep temperature (26°-29° C) and RH (60%-85%) in the right range. Air pump ON 24/0. No Humidifier during this run. 🔎 DAY BY DAY DETAILS [DAY 1] ⚡- Seeds under the lamp 24/0 (60 cm - 15 watt) to lead the seedlings to the light source; 🌱- Seeds in root riot after 10 hours in tap water. [DAY 2] 💧- Watering twice/day = 100 ml/day. [DAY 3] ⚡- Light: 60 cm / 50 watt; ⌛- 18/6 light cycle; 💧- DWC is still empty, I want to try this way this time; 🌱- Seedlings are here! [DAY 4] 💧- Still watering twice/day; 🌱- First root coming out from the netpots. [DAY 5] 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.6; 💧- 20 liters in DWCs. [DAY 6] 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.6. [DAY 7] 📑- PH 5.7 - EC 0.6; 💧- Fixed PH with Ph down by GHE. Stop daily top watering; 🌱- Couple of roots in DWCs.

🗓️ WEEK RESUME // DAY 22-28 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 40 cm / 100 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 18/6; 🌡️- 26° C - 70% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 1; 🌱- No big issues so far, really happy about both. ⚠️- Moved my two F1s (autoflowers) into this box, keeping the 18/6 cycle until harvest and then switching to 12/12. That would allow me to manage just one box in an already very stressful period of my life. That means also 10+ veg weeks for the Biscottis and it's suggestive to me. 👯‍♀️- They're sharing the box with: - MilkyWay F1 - RQS: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/181938-grow-journal-by-deepwatergrower - Titan F1 - RQS: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/181936-grow-journal-by-deepwatergrower

🗓️ WEEK RESUME // DAY 29-35 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 40 cm / 120 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 18/6; 🌡️- 25° C - 70% RH average; 📑- PH 6 - EC 1.6; 💧- 2° DWC change; 🍔- Veg blend: tap water EC 0.4 + Silic 0.5 ml/l + CalMag 0.5 ml/l + Hydro A-B 1.5 ml/l + Oligo Spectrum 1 ml/l + Fulvic 1 ml/l; ✂️- Heavy Defoliation for both on DAY 30; 🌱- Huge root systems, amazing! The #1 pheno showing some problem on leaves, maybe due the EC too high or due PH? Next week I try to lower PH first, then I'll reduce EC. Moreover I guess the lamp is too close to the plants but the F1s begin the flowering stage and they need more light, they have the priority. 👯‍♀️- They're sharing the box with: - MilkyWay F1 - RQS: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/181938-grow-journal-by-deepwatergrower - Titan F1 - RQS: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/181936-grow-journal-by-deepwatergrower

🗓️ WEEK RESUME // DAY 71-77 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 40 cm / 150 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 14/8. Still reducing the daylight hours, we're really close to switch; 🌡️- 20.5° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 1.4; 💧- 4° DWC change on DAY 75. Only tap water + 1.5 ml/l H2o2. That's a 48 hours flush to clean the root systems till the end of this week, then new change DWC with transition blend; ✂️- A new big haircut for them on DAY 75. Removed most of the leaves and a few lower branches; 🌱- I harvested the autoflower on DAY 74, after that the grow-box is focused only to these Biscottis. This was the last week in veg stage; 🔜- I turned off the light on DAY 76, now dark for 36 hours, then straight to 12/12 light cycle. 👯‍♀️- They shared the box with: MilkyWay F1 - RQS: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/181938-grow-journal-by-deepwatergrower

🗓️ 1° WEEK FLO // DAY 1-7 (from switch) // DAY 78-84 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 40 cm / 200 watt. Added a second lamp to support the flowering stage; ⌛- Schedule: 12/12. First week after veg begins, I hope that the gradual approach to the critical point helps to have a quick transition; 🌡️- 23° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 2; 💧- 5° DWC change for both after 48 hours flush; 🍔- Transition blend: tap water EC 0.4 + Silic 0.5 ml/l + CalMag 0.5 ml/l + Hydro A-B 1.8 ml/l + Oligo Spectrum 1 ml/l + Power buds 0.5 ml/l; 🥅- ScrOG-net mounted at 50 cm on DAY 4 FLO; 🔄- I reversed the position, the phenotype #1 is now on the right side; 🌱- Pheno #1 shows burnt tips since week 5 but I don't care, she has a great shape, is enormous and gorgeous. The lateral branches are long and strong, the main stem is very thick! Pheno #2, instead, is smaller and the lateral branches are not so long but she has the best root system I've ever seen!

We can definitively say that gradual approach to the switch doesn't make things faster; 🔜- Next week I'll make a new heavy defoliation.

Love it! 😍 ✂️- A new big haircut for them on DAY 15 FLO. Removed most of the leaves and a some lower branches, specially on the #1; 🥅- Still bending the #1 branches trough the ScrOG-net; 🌱- Flowering is ongoing, they're pretty fine. Both are not stretching as I expected, maybe due the gradual approach to the switch. That's a good info for the next time but I would have appreciated a bit more stretching, specially on the #2.

🗓️ 5° WEEK FLO // DAY 29-35 (from switch) // DAY 106-112 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 30 cm / 250 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 12/12; 🌡️- 22° C - 65% RH average. Unfortunately the last month has been very cold and this has slowed things down a bit, next month should be cold anyway so I don't expect an exceptional yield this time. I'm worried about the root zone: cold is good, too cold means problems; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 2.3; 💧- That's the 2° week with the same solution. I'm just doing some top up when needed. The phenotype #1 is drinking about 2.5 LT/day, PH is swinging between 5.9 and 6.2. The phenotype #2 is drinking about 1.5 LT/day, PH is swinging between 5.6 and 5.9; ✂️- A new big haircut for them on day 29 flo. Removed a lot of leaves and a few lower branches. Due the lack of stretching I removed something under the net but not everything, so I let at least 30 cm of buds. That's my goal, as always! 🌱- We are in full flowering stage, let's see how things develop. Pheno #1 is doing great so far, a way better than pheno #2. I think we need 4/5 weeks to harvest. 🆕- This week I got the TrolMaster TCS-1 (@TrolMaster_Europe) and I started to track my grow box data. I will add these info once I harvest!

Pheno #1 is continuing to swell its buds and it's starting to slowly fade. Pheno #2, on the other hand, is getting darker and darker and its buds are not as big as the other one; 🌸- According to the trichomes stage they still need 2 weeks. 🆕- On week 15 I got the TrolMaster TCS-1 by @TrolMaster_Europe and I started to track my grow box data. 🗓️ 8° WEEK FLO // DAY 50-56 (from switch) // DAY 127-133 (from dry seed) ⚡- Light: 30 cm / 250 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 12/12; 🌡️- 22.5° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 6.2 - EC 2; 💧- 8° DWC change; 🍔- Ripening blend: tap water EC 0.4 + CalMag 1 ml/l + Ripen 5 ml/l + Power Buds 1 ml/l; 🌱- Both are producing a lot of resin on their buds, the phenotype #2 is very sticky; 🌸- Trichomes are turning milky, some amber here and there. Harvest in 7 days; 🔜- We are almost at the end and I am already organizing my next two diaries, I really like this initial phase of organization and planning for the next four or five months. The "modus operandi" will be the same adopted in this cultivation, I will start with two very fast autoflowering plants and in the meantime I will give the two photoperiodic plants a long vegetative growth. I still have to decide on the strains, but I already have an idea. As far as the nutritional regime is concerned, there will be big changes, for the first time I will be using beneficial bacteria in my DWCs and anyone who has any advice on using them in this setup feel free to write to me and share some thoughts. 🆕- On week 15 I got the TrolMaster TCS-1 by @TrolMaster_Europe and I started to track my grow box data. I will add these info once I harvest!

Hi guys, I grow in DWC and I would like to take the difficulty one step further. It doesn't matter the brand, but I would like to know if you start using beneficial bacteria from dry seed, if I can watering the clay with it, if solution expired faster and stuff like that...

I have used Great White on my seeds and seedling plugs before (all plants are currently in my two big setups), all plants have survived and have an amazing root production. I have even applied great white directly to the root ball in my current epic buzz DWC run with no issues. If I use Orca in my DWC I usually add a little Canna boost to feed it and top up the Orca roughly every 3-4 days. As long as the aeration is proper in you reservoir there should not be any issues. (growdiaries.com/diaries/185718-grow-journal-by-salokin/week/1073905) here an example of what Orca did within a week in my DWC. If you are running only a DWC and not RDWC there is no equipment to clog up anyways. whatever product you will use make sure your solution is well mixed & aerated and you'll be fine!

🗓️ 9° WEEK FLO // DAY 57-63 (from switch) // DAY 134-140 (from dry seed) 🌸 Below is a focus on the last four days of cultivation, my harvest routine: 🌸 [60° FLO] ⚡- Light: 30 cm / 250 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 12/12; 🌡️- 23° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4; 🍔- Ripen is done after 10 day. Flush begins; 💧- 9° DWC change, 20 liters tap water in DWCs; 🌱- Phenotype #1 is showing spots on leaves, not a big issue at this point. Looking at the trichomes, phenotype #2 is ripening faster. [61° FLO] ⚡- Light: 30 cm / 250 watt; ⌛- Schedule: 12/12; 🌡️- 23° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.9 - EC 0.4; 💧- 10° DWC change, 10 liters fresh tap water in DWCs. 🌱- I cut a small branch from the #1, very frosty and shining! [62° FLO] ⌛- Schedule: 0/24; 🌙- Light off until Harvest; 🌡️- 18° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4; 💧- 3° day flush. [63° FLO] - Harvest day ⌛- Schedule: 0/24; 🌙- 48 hours in dark done; 🌡️- 18° C - 65% RH average; 📑- PH 5.8 - EC 0.4; 💧- 4 days without nutrients in DWCs. I removed water 20 hours before the chop; 🌸- Trichomes: Phenotype #1: Milky 90% - Amber 10% / Phenotype #2: Milky 85% - Amber 15%. ✅ HARVEST - After 4 days flush and 2 days in the dark, I cut both plants on DAY 63 FLO; - Wet trim, removed fan leaves. 🔜- We are at the end and I am organizing my next two diaries, I really like this initial phase of organization and planning for the next four or five months. ⭐ TrolMaster tracking ⭐ I started to track my crop during week 15, when I got the Tent-X TCS-1 by TrolMaster. First impression was: this is too professional for me, I can't handle setting it up and using it well. Then I started reading some posts on Instagram, I visited their site and in 5 minutes my cultivation experience took a huge step forward with disarming simplicity, I couldn't believe it. I have uploaded tracking videos from the TrolMaster app for each week from the 15th to the 19th, as well as the two weeks of drying stage. ⭐ Controller Chronicles ⭐ Day after day I appreciated the clarity and precision for data, access to all settings and instant readings by connecting a WIFI router to the controller's LAN port. I loved the possibility to dim my lamps remotely, or even automatically based on the temperature in the box! 🌱 GERMINATION (2 days) Seeds in a glass of EC 0.4 tap water for 10 hours, then in root riots and under the lamp. They sprouted after 48 hours from dry seed. 🌿 GROWING STAGE (10 weeks and half) I decided to give these plants a long vegetative growth and this allowed me to do a lot of training on both. Starting from the 4th veg week I started with defoliation sessions every two weeks, for a total of four during the entire vegetative phase. The last defoliation was done a couple of days before the switch, in order to allow the lower parts of the plant to get as much light as possible. Furthermore I did Topping on week 6, cutting the apical branch, then on week 8 I did Topping again on several sites, as well as SuperCropping on the highest branches to make the canopy uniform. The light cycle I used is 18/6 and the last two veg weeks I lowered the light hours to 16/8 first and 14/10 then. During the veg stage I made 4 DWC change, PH was always between 5.5 and 6, about EC I started with 0.6 and was 1.4 on the last veg week. 🌸 FLOWERING STAGE (9 weeks) I started this phase after 36 hours of darkness, I then changed the DWCs solution (adding a flowering stimulator). Then I mounted the ScrOG-net about 50 cm from the base of the plants and I wove the phenotype #1 through the net occupying at least 60% of the available space; the phenotype #2 stretched shortly after the switch and I used the net only to widen the central branches. They showed the pre-flowers two weeks after the switch, then I made two defoliations on week 3 and 5 flo. During the last four weeks of flowering (weeks 6-9) I simply paid attention to the PH-EC levels to provide the roots with optimal conditions. I then kept the TEMP-RH-VPD-PPFD values under control and this also thanks to the Tent-X controller by TrolMaster which allows me to provide optimal conditions also above. I chopped them when trichomes were about 85% milky and 15% amber. During the flowering stage PH was always between 5.8 and 6.2, about EC I started with 2 and was 2.3 on the last week before flush. ✅ HARVEST - From dry seed to harvest: 140 days (2 days germination + 75 days veg + 63 days flo). - Chopped after 4 days flush and 48 hours in dark; - Wet trim, removed fan leaves. ✅ DRYING STAGE - Time: 14 days; - Average: 20° C - 50% RH. - After that I made a dry trim, removed branches and sugar leaves. ⚖️ DRY WEIGHT - Phenotype #1: 230 gr buds + 25 gr larf; - Phenotype #2: 105 gr buds + 50 gr larf. So, the overall dry weight is: 335 gr buds + 75 gr larf. ✅ CURING STAGE - Curing is done after 30 days with Boveda 62%.
