Hey yall, Temps were high, but under control now. My girls were droopy despite having moist soil. After a good compost tea they bounced right back. Pistol hairs are showing, haven't grown this specific cultivar before so the bud structure is a but different than others I am familiar with. Let's see what she does moving forward. I am not a super fan of these genetics. Already have new seeds I am ready to start once these ladies are done. Over all the Strawberry Diesel from Beaver Seeds is not a noob grow, you need to have your grow dialed in. And really be careful with PM. I am keeping humidity as low as I cam while still maintaining a decent VPD. Challenges with this strain definitely turns me off. Looking forward to a new cultivar, already have some genetics from Michigan, those cats are really something else, they are hellbent on being better than the West coast. And they are in my humble opinion 😌 ☺️ Pure Michigan looks good, also Honey Sticks Genetics out of Maine is killing it, their Bananaconda 4 tested over 40% total cannabinoids. They want like 3k per cut, so that won't be my next, but looking forward to new genetics nonetheless. Anyways made some new ferments, remember to use equal parts organic sugar, Jaggery is best, that is the closest form of sugar to the sugar cane plant. Cover with paper towel, 2 to 3 days later let gravity give you all that juice, don't squeeze it to get more. Keep that juice in the fridge, that is your food. Then add water to the solids and keep at room temperature for 3 months to make a vinegar. That is your cleanser. Late update, ran into some issues with the roots but the end product is still decent. Will make some tweaks next time, the problem was my transplant. I didn’t put the plants down deep enough and the soil was compacted to add. Plants start tipping over and nearly derooted when buds got heavier. Also was using too much nutes, will be switching to coco. Don’t think I used too much, soil just retained a lot of the nutes and water. Hoping coco will solve that issue for me.

During the middle of this week I decided to stop the outward training of the branches & the allow vertical growth for beginning bud site formation . I don’t want to miss the beginning flower stretch kinda need it 😂. Decided to break the apical dominance of the main stem by LST’ing down . I noticed it was leagues ahead of the rest of the plant because it hung over the side of the pot so since I need to start slowing it’s vertical growth I figure now Is also time to get the rest of the canopy to catch up leaving me to space things accordingly later when/if necessary . Also decided to go ahead and do my 1st & last additional feeding since these girls where planted all I’ve had to do this grow was water when dry & train her to the best of my abilities. Last week for the 8 , on Feb 1st will be flipping them into bloom 12/12. I think I did well flatten em out like a table. If one tall than the other I’ll try my best to tuck em & if too many buds site to the side or nodes then Ima let em be…. Prolly have to get a 2 nd net trellis…

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. Bueno pues el sábado 4 y el domingo 5 de marzo realice las defoliaciones y el lunes 06/03/23 puse las luces a 12/12 para inducir la floración. Las autos ya estaban en prefloración hace 1 semana. Son 12 plantas en macetas de 7L con 44 días desde que se empezaron a germinar las semillas. Uso la gama completa de nutrientes, Boom nutrients Están bajo la luz del panel LED 780W ResinX de GBLIGHTING Pretendo poner una malla de scrog y en floración avanzada otra, para sujetar todo bien.

Medicine is expensive and, luckily, I am now able to grow my own where I live. I started growing in this 2x4 Gorilla Lite tent and "piece-meal'ed" my setup together. I started with one Mars Hydro TS1000 and was fortunate enough to get a second one before I started flowering. I used a 6-inch AC Infinity fan for exhaust and a 4 inch AC Infinity intake fan. Using a Gorilla carbon filter and it works great.. I added an Exhale CO2 bag at this time not really realizing that it wouldn't do much good for a few weeks still... It's impossible to find oscillating clip on fans where I live so I had to make do with some non-oscillating fans. Grew in 100% Purple Cow Indicanja soil and did not give ANY nutrients during the vegetative stage (they did just fine). I probably under-watered versus over-watered for quite some time as folks at the friendly local grow store kept telling me that I'd inevitably overwater at some point as a first time grower so I waited a long time in between watering fairly often...

Well week 5 of bloom is complete, and this week brought a few challenges. Humidity in my area has been through the roof, close to 100%. My heavy-duty equipment was struggling to bring my tent to acceptable late flowering levels, sometimes reaching over 60% RH, especially at night when the plant was respirating more. Additionally, her pale yellow color, and leathery leaves didn't excite me too much. If you remember, we had a severe heat wave a couple of weeks ago, which contributed to that. But also, since I messed up the ScrOG training, and regrettably decided not to super-crop her, a fair share of the leaf problems were due to light stress as well, as I didn't want to sacrifice lower colas, so I let it go. My biggest mistake this grow, was not paying attention to her the one day she decided to stretch nearly a foot, and was unable to be weaved into the net the next day without being snapped in half. My second biggest mistake is NOT snapping it in half, and letting it repair itself. I wouldn't have had nearly as much bleaching of leaves I think. This week, and I'm assuming because nearly all chlorophyll was depleted from her fan leaves, I didn't notice much of any change from last week. Her buds seemed to be about the same mass, and the stigmas still had the same ratio of red to white coloration. I suspected she was dead, or dying, or just...done. Not all genetics will transform all of their stigmas from white, and not all genetics will have their trichomes turn amber. So, I did a few things to confirm that suspicion. First, I looked at her trichomes on various buds closely with a microscope. They were almost all cloudy, with very very few amber. That told me that she was at an acceptable level of ripeness, even if she could have went longer, assuming she was still alive. Next, I removed the pea gravel mulch I was using in the raised bed, so I could get a closer look at the soil she was growing in, and more specifically, her roots. The soil, although moist a few inches deep, was not at the level I expected, and I think I have not been watering her enough. I don't think I'll be using a gravel mulch again. On the plus side, it did help prevent fungus gnats, as there was zero the whole grow, apart from an early week when I placed some solo cups to germinate on top of the bed, but after removing them, the fungus gnats disappeared with them. Also while inspecting the soil, I carefully dug down to inspect some of her primary roots. They were actually dry, despite the surrounding soil being moist. This could explain why she wasn't drinking much if any for the better part of the week. So, given her dry foliage, dry roots, and ripe-enough trichomes, I decided it was time to harvest her, earlier than expected. Let's also not forget that I was frightened this week with some high humidity scares, so growing longer, and possibly for no reason if she was dead or barely alive, was not in the cards. I've dealt with my fair share of bud rot before, and I would rather try what I have of her now, than to wait the extra week or so for her to be fully ripe. So, that is what I did, on the last day of the week -- I chopped her down, cut off some larger fan leaves, and hung her upside down. This, of course, was after removing the raised bed. It took me a while to empty about 45 gallons of soil so I could move it, but in doing so, I noticed a lot of beneficial critters, and nothing bad. Such critters included small centipedes, which feed on other insects, and soil mites which eat dead organic matter. I set the tent to dry at around 72F and 55 RH. And now we wait for about a week before trimming. One thing is for sure -- I am very proud of this grow, despite all these flaws. She smells incredible -- like pure citrus emanating throughout my house. This is a very strong-smelling plant. As a bonus, I've included a time-lapse video of the entire grow from start to finish in the last media above. Check it out and let me know what you think. This week is going great. The ladies are growing great and looking nice and healthy. They are about to start flowering and I am excited!! Happy growing y’all!

Tag 42 - Beginn der 7 Woche. Es wird so langsam. Der Blütenwachstum geht weiter. Für mich könnte sie zum jetzigen Stand etwas weiter sein, was aber glaube ich meine Schuld ist, da die Lampe etwas nah an der Pflanze ist. Im oberen Bereich der Pflanze habe ich hellgrüne Verfärbung an den Blättern entdeckt, was auch auf zu viel Licht und Hitze schließen lässt. Ich hab die Lampe nochmal etwas weiter nach oben verstellt und habe der Pflanze an Tag 40 der letzten Woche zusätzlich bisschen Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra gegeben, damit sie für die Lichtintensität gestärkt wird und ich einen Calciummangel ausschließen kann. Ich bin gespannt wie sie sich in den kommenden Wochen entwickelt. Der pH-wert wurde minimal von 6.5 auf 6.6 erhöht. Beschnitten oder entlaubt wurde nichts mehr und werde ich voraussichtlich auch nicht mehr. Gedüngt wurde an Tag 38 der letzten Woche. Nährstofflösung: 1 ml/l - Big Bud Advanced Nutrients 1 ml/l - Bud Candy Advanced Nutrients. 1 ml/l - B-52 Advanced Nutrients. 2 ml/l - pH Perfect Sensi Bloom Part A. 2 ml/l - pH Perfect Sensi Bloom Part B. 1 ml/l - Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra Advanced Nutrients.

Glad to see them start filling out. I started giving compost tea and molasses in between feeding and watering once a week. At this point I'm trying to slowly raise ppm without getting nute burn. They are barely putting put smell. I'm guessing the buds will be significantly bigger next weeks update.

Good start off to week 4. I did a 50 litre flush for pheno #1 and she bounced back real good. She is super happy and growth is really starting to pick up. A little more small in the tent now so I’m happy. I’ve also added bamboo sticks for both plants since I’m not using scrog so no trellis net to stop the plants from falling over once they start to pack on weight. Excited to see how the next couple are gonna go. Hopefully no more issues :)
