******************************************************************** START OF WEEK Went to the grow store and wound up with an AC Infinity EVO6. It should be a nice light for the future, and when my warranty replacement comes back, assuming that won't be an issue, it'll be nice to have a decent back-up. That's the bright side, but I am a little bummed about laying down the cash with ten to 14 days left. That part is the kick in the nutes. Fine, moving on. As for the grow, it's plowing forward. These plants are doing all the things we want them to do right now. They're getting fat, they're getting sticky, and the fade is fading away. Some branches may call for some last minute support, but for now the sucked-in tent walls will continue to suffice. The feed is still at 1100ppm and pk boosted, but the plan is to finish this week around 750. ******************************************************************** END OF WEEK Day 63 of flowering has arrived. I've backed off the nutrients. We're now sitting at 850ppm with about 6-8 gallons in the system remaining. This should equate to a Thursday refill with no feed, and then a Saturday or Sunday chop. VPD has been running a touch high this week, but that's not a concern. It's staying in the ideal range for most of the lights on period, and then trailing up in the last few hours to around 1.7-1.8. No biggie. The new light is really nice, but it runs hotter than the combo of the S22 and S44 (500W total), and that's with the EVO6 driver outside of the tent. This also isn't a big deal. The max tent temp is around 84, and before that wouldn't get past 82. Not a huge difference, and potentially better for the plants with the additional heat. I've got two CO2 mushroom bags in there, so more temp should mean more production at that level. I'm excited for this grow to finish and I'm looking forward to sampling the variety. I'm definitely using half, if not more, to make bubble hash. I'm probably just going to run it all together, as opposed to having runs for each pheno. I'll sample the tops independently, and smash rosin by pheno, but I'm not sold on isolating the hash. Seems like triple the work, but I've got a week to make further considerations, so we'll see. This will be my last grow until I sell this place and move into my next place. I'm going to miss growing. It's brought me a ton of peace by giving me something to anticipate, study, and take pride in. It's such an enjoyable hobby. I'll miss it in the time being, but I'm grateful that I won't need to step foot inside of a dispensary in 2024. Big win there! Everyone should grow their own.

Day 22: Hey everyone! Update on the second grow: the plants are looking very healthy and seem to be growing much faster than the first batch. ๐ŸŒฟ I feel like we've already done a lot better with these plants compared to the first grow. What do you all think? Any thoughts or suggestions? Day 26 (Second Grow): Hey everyone! Exciting news: the plants in our second grow have names now too! ๐ŸŒฟ This will make it easier to identify and keep track of each one, especially if they get moved around. It should also help you all follow along more easily with the pictures we post. We've built a SCROG (Screen of Green) net for the plants in both grows. For those who donโ€™t know, a SCROG net helps to train the plants to grow horizontally, which maximizes light exposure to all parts of the plant and promotes more even growth. We're using it to ensure all plants get plenty of light and develop a uniform canopy. Additionally, we've placed a hygrometer among the plants to measure the humidity between the leaves. We've noticed that the humidity sometimes exceeds 70% in those areas. We're considering whether we need more fans, an intake ventilation system, or if a dehumidifier would be a better option. We're leaning towards adding more fans to improve air circulation, but we'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to watch both grows progress!

D11 - The start of the second week of veg. The girl isn't very tall yet but she is looking healthy and vibrant, and I think it is fair to say at this point that this soil is just fine. I just got unlucky with bad seeds. Oh, well. Upwards and onwards! D14 - The girl is growing along nicely. Still low but is starting to spread out. I also trimmed the cover crop. D17 - The last day in week two of veg. She is slowly outgrowing her cup, and I'm going to transplant her next week.

What a week !!! This was an absolute pleasure to grow , I don't deal with alot of sativa dominant grows, so having something get this much height on one week was pretty cool to see !! This one is about 6 days from going into flower, she REALLY liked to be plucked !!! Not very often do plants take so well from losing their large fan leaves like this one did !!

Update on the Durban Cookies lLineage - Durban Poison and Cookie F2 (PurpleCaperSeeds). Grow is looking strong. Think I should've lollipopped a bit harder, the foliage is just so thick. I have been removing fan leaves where I see them blocking budsites... and can reach. Raising the height continuously to keep it away from the Durban cookies stretch only have a few more inches left. Dehumidifier set up. Terrified of mold or anything that could hurt these girls late stage.

I'm too inexperienced to say for sure but to me, the colas seem to be thickening. The harvest will probably be more than I can smoke. Quality? I don't know anything about the strain. With naked eye, I can't see the snow/sugar like I could on my previous grow. Perhaps it's the color? Lack of contrast? Everything has a yellowish hue? Trying to use a magnifier, trichomes seem abundant though. Hairs are still mostly yellow so I'm still going on the assumption that until the hairs darken, I don't have to worry about trichome color because it's not even close? Although the plants have probably grown better, produced more than the autos in my first grow, I'm getting impatient.
