There is a timelapse of this past week! This plant, the blueberry, is in the background. Early this week I transplanted the rock wool cube into my DWC system. I pH'd the water, but otherwise did not provide nutes for a few days. The grow tent is now on an 18hr light period. Sometime in the middle of this past week, this blueberry started wilting! In response, I provided the nutrients listed above, with the addition of 1 gallon of (hard) tap water to provide calcium. Unlike my GSC, the nutrients did not fix the wilting, but the wilting did go away after 2-3 days. I had some humidity troubles, so I resorted to flooding the bottom of my tent. This does seem to help maintain humidity around 50% RH. This plant is growing asymmetrically! It's first set of "real leaves" is not even. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

The High intensity was to strong (clearly my fault) in the beginning which stunted her overall stretch, she however still delivered super dense, terpene and trichome loaded buds.

DAY 14 F: Hi all. I hope we are all coping and navigating this tumultuous time in the "other world" . It has been a really good week for the ladies this week and even the little chica has improved slightly from her attempted poisoning by hands yet unknown ????. Lol They have all been really productive in their stretch periods and i had to move the fc3000 up a fair bit to stop them reaching the panel. I want to avoid any supercropping to use the plants natural structures on this final auto run. The tip spreading has been effective at stopping them over growing the height restriction and has now used the stretch period to space all the budsites into good positions for light and air movement. I want to also avoid having to remove any of the powerhouse fan leaves that are going to help convert and store all those sugars and goodies for the bud development soon. Inwill tet to keep them from light blocking lower leaves and growth by tucking them away where I can. They are around 2ft in height with the Strawberry Pie being the taller of the 3 strains. All have fairly long node gaps whichb had hoped to avoid so they would stack the buds rather than grow in small clusters but I know from previously growing them all that they make some very nice harvested and cured nugs. I am still only feeding water but will be doing another tea of biosys and a top dressing of life-cycle too this week to give the biosphere a hand and the girls a boost from that. The light is really doing them justice with plenty of deep penetration to the soil bed in places too. There are no signs of hot spots or too much intensity so far so an even spread of those light ranges has fed them perfectly. With the convenience of the soil beds , In the tent I have from Mars being the perfect size for this light , it could be a match made in heaven for the upcoming photoperiod run with the FC3000 too. Just need to find a way to hang the tent with my horrible apex roof first..... lol With Bud Porn on order for next weeks update , I bid you all farewell or as we say in the UK, "tatty bye for now" growmies. This is my second grow. Started from seeds. 2 in big pots (I don't know the exact volume, around 30l-40l) and 4 in smaller 18l pots. I assumed that not all plants would grow nice so I thought it would be a good idea to start with 6 plants, and if they all grew I could give three away so that I have enough space (3 plants for 1 square meter). Problem was that the people that wanted the plants, could only take them in like week 14, and then they should already be in flower. Remember the word "should". So I sticked with 6 plants in a very confined space.. As described in the Video, this was before heavy defoliation. A few days later I flipped the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12. At this point I had already done LST and a combination of FIMing and Topping. The two big ones and one small are Mandarin jam and the other 3 in the small pots are Super Skunk. I think it would have been a better idea to put them in flower earlier.

📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. Start of week 5 today, everything seems to be going great! The Gelato OG is by far the biggest plant of the bunch so far but they all seem to be taking well to LST, HST , Topping & defoliation! Will be going in the flower tent as soon as the other ladies harvest so they will probably have atleast 2 to 3 more weeks of veg!

🌱 Day 43 - Beginning of the Third Flowering Week 🌱 Hello grow friends! 🌿 Today marks the start of the third week of the flowering phase. This week, I’m trying to adjust my nutrients a bit. I plan to slightly increase BioBizz Grow, as well as BioBizz Bloom, according to the feeding schedule. 🌱💧 I’m continuing to prune and thin out the plants a little each day, aiming to keep them stress-free. ✂️😊 The terpenes and buds are developing wonderfully so far, but I’m still struggling with very high humidity levels. 🌡️💦 Since my grow setup is on the second floor and we’re currently experiencing humid temperatures here in Germany, it’s been a challenge. I’m trying to reduce the humidity from 62% down to 50% during the day, but it’s proving difficult. 🌬️📉 I’ll keep you updated on how things progress! 🌿✨ 🌱 Day 47 - Everything is Going Well 🌱 Watering and Nutrients Today, I watered and fed the plant again. 🌿💧 Each plant received 1 liter, which is about 10% of the pot's volume. The plant is responding well to the nutrients, and growth is steady. Defoliation and Light Exposure I’ve done some light defoliation to ensure that every part of the plant gets proper light exposure. ✂️💡 My goal is to avoid any shadowed areas, allowing the buds to develop fully. Temperature Management The temperature is still quite high, reaching 27-28°C during the day. 🌡️🔥 I’m finding it difficult to bring it down, but the plant seems to be handling it well. To maintain a healthy environment, I keep both the fan and the exhaust system running on the highest setting, ensuring good air circulation. 🌬️🔄 Humidity Control Currently, the humidity is sitting at around 45-50%. 💧 It’s not perfect, but I’m monitoring the plant closely and making adjustments as needed. Careful Defoliation I continue to remove one or two leaves each day to minimize stress on the plant. 🍃🌿 This slow, careful defoliation ensures that the plant stays healthy while making sure all buds have access to light. Guard Dogs on Duty My dogs took a peek into the grow tent today and are now keeping a watchful eye over the plant. 🐕🌱 They’re doing a great job of “guarding” it! 🐾 I hope you enjoyed this update!
