Most of the week was spent setting up the hydro grow. Needed to build a DIY chiller since air temp in our grow room is hot, and water needs to be a good deal colder. Fridge from kijiji, garden hose, fittings, and submersible pump all in were under $100 but knowing what I know now I'd likely go with a thermoelectric chiller (DIY, with power supply and temp controller) next time around. Looking forward to tracking metrics and seeing how it goes :). Seems there's a lot of contradiction in terms of level of nutrients recommended, max water temperature, using H2O2 to boost water temp that can keep algae and rot at bay, etc. Got my hands on some Hydroguard via Amazon... despite local shops saying you can't get it in Canada... so I'm going to go with that instead of H2O2 to start, despite water temp getting up above 21 C (70 f) during the day. Fingers crossed. Update - keeping water reservoir tank under 20 C now by using reflective bubble wrap insulation on the reservoir itself and pipe insulation as well. It's a 10 C difference from the room temp, so I'm SUPER pleased with that.

Cytokinins stopped stretch so ima keep lights at current height given havent seen burn or bleaching. One pheno sharp candy getting sweeter n milder, 2nd pheno is similar to my bubba diagonal i grew here. I guess not bad for week 4 in 3 gallon bags but i hope they start filling in?

🗓️ Week 17: 3/23 - 3/29 📆 Week 7 of 12/12 🌄 The plant is starting to go into senescence and presenting some beautiful colors as she begins to fade. 💡 Received new lighting courtesy of Growers Choice. They sent me the ROI-E420 with the Master Controller. First impression is amazing. Looks and feels like very high quality build. The spectrum seems more blue than the 3000k lm301H Kingbrite bars I have been using. The bars are thinner and packed with a lot of diodes, so they do run a little hotter than the KB at full power. I adjusted and now running them at 90%. For now the Kingbrite bars are being used as side lighting dimmed to about 30-35% depending on Grow room temps.

I struggled with this plant the whole grow cycle. She still came out alright in my opinion. She did foxtail due to heat. For a first photoperiod grow in DWC I did good in my opinion. Learned a lot more, and been applying those techniques now. She grew under a Spider Farmer SE5000 light in a New Level Hydro bucket. I used hygrozyme during grow. Scotts OG de Rare Dank, nos esperabamos una OG Kush típica poco ramificada y con corta flora, pero nos sorprendió que era bastante mas Sativa y ramificada! Se estira muchisimo en el cambio de fotoperiodo. Cogollos no muy compactos pero muy dulces, terroso, kushy, pino, cookies.. Muy vigorosa y muy buena para hacer clones!
