📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. Opium loves the outside sun, breeze, and frequent rain. Week 9 6/2-6/8 Now at the start of week 9, my outside gals, except L. Cake are now in flower. Several pics show the very narrow new leaves and small white hairs evidence of flower formation. 6/7 This is the first time I’ve had to add nutrients to her feeding. Some lower leaves were yellow. Since I’ve been using amended soil, this indicates Fractal is a heavy feeder. All are showing yellowing leaves so everyone is now getting nutrients with feedings. I saw a Japanese beetle on my Lemon Cake and some small holes in the leaves so I added 1/2 tsp neem to the feed solution 6/12. Also started using fish & kelp. I'm still watering 1 gal per plant when I feed 2x/week. With the heat and humidity, I water daily but do not feed daily. She is tall, incredibly vigourous, smells delicious and has potency levels which are off the hook. We had heard a lot about Gorilla Glue #4 and managed to get our hands on a cut of this super-strong and highly resinous strain which has being causing such a buzz. We then set about crossing it with our favourite Auto OG Kush until we had Auto Gorilla OG.  The results have blown us away… The trichome count is just out of this world with resin ‘gluing up’ your scissors when you harvest her and mountains of sift being produced when you are manicuring the dried buds.  When growing Auto Gorilla OG get ready for some explosive growth from day 1. This strain is really vigourous and pushes out branches and bud sites in all directions while reaching a height of up to 1-2 metres (4 feet). Once she has finished her stretch she will start filling out and the buds will become super chunky and resinous as the trichome production goes into overdrive. Dayc16 since flip: This little baby is doing me proud. Her stretch and flower production is going very well. At just over 2ft , she should be perfect now as she buds upwards and builds some stacks. Her node spacing is good and hopefully will help form the stacks quicker. There will be a lot of stripping out on day 21 as there is a lot of growth in there . We are going to need some airflow soon. Her flowers are looking like they will resemble the GZ In her genetics as they are nice and compact looking so far. Her overall canopy should be a great foundation for some upwards stacked baseball bats hopefully.She has a ice 6-way manifold to supply the goodies to the potential mains sonal should develop nicely now. I am excited to see how she smells as we go with her parentage. This strain is so far proving stable and no sign of nanners thankfully. Stay healthy and alert Growmies

so all the plants are up and looking good, the clones are flowering nicely, im about four weeks away from any chop , the strain is sticky and very nice

Beginning of flowering phase and they already stretched 7 cm in 3 days only. The topped one reached 38 cm and the LST only is 42 cm . The smell is strating to come out , smell quite nice. Not intense yet. Fertilizers Top Vulcan 1 table spoon each. No more repetition Plagron alga bloom 4 ml & power bud 1 ml power roots 1 ml , alga grow 4 ml and vita race 4 ml. I Will repeat the same every 4 days for the for 1st two weeks of flowering . As you can see I am growing other strains but the lemon orange stand out for now. They are larger, busher and smell amazing 😍

Plants are all doing amazing ! They are all growing in a very even and uniform fashion. Seems like quality genetics so far. Plants are on track to be transplanted by next week or one more tops Fed with very light dose of supplemental nutrients at 6.5ph Plants are getting 25k lux.

The gas tax x obama runtz is a disappointment so far just like my skunk apple runtz starting to realize how much work legit breeders actually put in to make a good strain. The plant liked being topped it just has not hit its stride yet it definitely going to be a skiny lady The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

Buds are very resinous, but due to the stretch they are very spaced between each other. Also I'm getting trouble to fatten them up. Seem airy and the tips are drying a litle bit.

First week budding. Definitely starting showing signs of female the first 2 days you can see the hairs com in at the bot of the stocks. Looking forward to next week

As you can see it's not a very photogenic plant at the moment, thats why i didn't took her to many pics with quality, but she is getting hugeee. The smell is like a strong mix of haze and something really sweet.
