7th week

Hi everyone, this week went pretty smoothly. She is growing well and she actually took 15 cm during this week. I'm pretty happy with that and I guess it's gonna be the same the coming week. I'm just adjusting the distance between the lamp and the canopy and that's pretty much it. I'm questioning if I shouldn't have taken the little branches from the middle out as they are now putting some lower bud sites on the main branches in the shadow. That's how it is now so I'll go along with it. Today I removed some lower leaves on the branches that are in the middle. They are pretty thin so it won't produce anything anyway. The coming week will pretty much be the same as this one I guess. I'm looking forward to doing the massive defoliation from the schwazzing technique next week. That'll be the first time I do it, hopefully that won't be a mistake! As usual, let me know in the comments if you have any advice or remarks. Take care everyone and see you next week!

Week 6 starts 12/31/21 but I happened to notice a weird leaf the night before. The Northern Light X Blueberry auto is very dark green and has sharp downturned tips. Which starts down the rabbit hole of google search to see the cause. I decide that is is Nitrogen toxicity caused by underwatering. At this time I was not really paying attention to when I feed them just whenever the pots were light. I watered them I later realize that while it may have started with underwatering it was so many other problems at once. I forgot to check the ppm or ph going in one day last week so I checked them going out. The run off was 2700ppm and I forgot to look up what that meant. I also doubled the strength of the nutes. 1/2 Saturday I flushed all the plants with 5 gallons of fresh water each that read 6.43 ph & 51ppm. I have Fox farm sledge hammer but for some reason I decided to use just water. The run off was consistently 6.2ph and I rinsed until the ppm was about 450 on NB. 250 ppm on Gorilla Glue and Pineapple express. I then decided that since it was nitrogen toxicity from underwatering that I should not starve the plant so I gave her week 1 of flower nutrients from the Foxfarm feeding schedule at 1/2 strength. I did not use Calmag since it's nitrogen was 2 and I didn't add the boomerang because that has nitrogen as a 1 and I thought since this plant has nitrogen toxicity I should skip the extra 3 nitrogen for now. I set each plant up on blocks so air could totally circulate to dry out the pots. Turned the fans on and waited. 1/6 There has been almost no growth since the flush. NB started off at a little over 9 inches and if I stretch her she is 10 at most.

17 Jan - 23 Jan 19 Jan Kush del Arriero: Looking good in color and size, planning to flush next week, hope those possible nanners don't develop enough, not removing due to harvest time being so close and this one being the one that will probably give me the best yield. Some buds and leaves getting purple colors. Choco Cookie: Still very small, hope they grow a little more before harvest. Some buds and leaves getting purple colors. Banana Cake: Small buds, decent trichomes. I hope that KDA won't cause much trouble to the other two plants, I hope I'm wrong about the nanners... Keeping my plans, finish with nutrients this Sunday and flushing for 7-14 days after that. I'll add a few more pics later today. Sat 22 Yesterday a friend with more experience in these things took a look at my plants, he seemed impressed by what I've accomplished on my first grow so far. He also confirmed that the weird things on the KDA buds aren't nanners... phew ! He also confirmed my plans for flushing tomorrow are good.

This week seems to have gone fine no major problems to document. Girls are growing strong. Wouldn’t say it been a speedy process going into flowering but I have done some extensive training so that could be the reason for slower growth. Going to leave them alone now let them do there thing this next coming week

Another week is over, and on the 12th it's time to harvest ✂️, it wasn't one of my favorite crops, the plant's growth was very irregular, but I hope that after drying and curing it will be worth it. I'll update as soon as I have my first impressions 🌱✌️🍁💨

***Sponsored Grow*** = Medic || https://medicgrow.com || Grow = ***Sponsored Grow*** This week has been interesting, I was getting some weird runoff numbers in terms of EC/PPM and PH, so I decided to try and bring the PH up with a flush of high PH water into the medium. I did not have any PH up on hand so I used borax, PH of 9-10 plus it will help kill off any microbes in the soil that I believe is causing the PH swings. After doing this and getting the PH I wanted in the solution I released that the amount of B in the solution was to high and would cause more issues down the road, It was late in the day so I left the next flush to fix the excess B till tomorrow morning. Morning came and when I processed to flush I added in a bit of peroxide to the water and a dash of dish soap to break the waters surface tension so it flows through the pots more easily. This was going fine till it started to not drain out at all. I think it was foaming up in the medium and preventing a normal flow, plus on two of the pots I lost my perlite that sits on the top of the medium. I had to massage the pots "like when you transplant" to make then start draining again and then purchased a Yucca extract to help it flow through. Everything is back to normal. The pots are really root bound and should be transplanted but its mid flower and that's not going to be happening. I also don't know if I'd even have the space for it. I added in a b1 vitamin as well on recommendation of grow shop as apparently their other lineup I purchased did not have any. No idea if its working well only first week in the feeding. The Cytokelp is fun, but the one hormone in it is similar to a PGR but its not a real PGR. I am skeptical of it and not using it as foliar, just root watering. I also added in a bit of CaMg supplement that gave the plants a boost in N and Ca. The mg of this product was lesser then others I have seen about a 5:1 ratio of Ca to Mg. after the big flushes the runoff was hitting 120ppm so I gave it a good feed at 1.8EC Time will tell If i fucked it up royally by doing all this, this Kannabia plant is still doing ok, its been having some issues with N and Ca, can see on the leaves some prominent signs it needs more Ca, so hopefully the addition helped this week of CaMg. Some of my other plants are also discoloured but not to the same extent as this one. All the plants are still stretching but it seems slow to me. Maybe it will continue going but it only put on about 4cm in the last week and a half. Feels slow. I may see more stretching in the next week upcoming and it just had a ruff start. Lights still running at 100% with V1 spectrum, everything seems to be working just fine, no light burn. here are the kids in week 4. man did they blow up! I have fed them 3 times so far. the last 2 times have been with big bloom and grow big. they seem to really like the new soil and nutes. I topped Ursula and started her on LST. I tied down the 24k" ruth" 7 days ago and she just filled the fuck out! so im hoping to have the same results with Ursula. ol Kathy skunk really started to fill in too. I germed the last seed I had and started it in ffof. I have read that ocean forest can burn seedlings ,but its doing pretty well in there. we will just have to wait and see.
