F35: growing well. Back left has has nearly all the stems flop over in the last week or so. They're just laying on top of each other on the net. Back right is slower but way more frost. Front right is getting thick and looks good. Other than the floppy one in the back they're all really nice so far. Still giving water nearly every day, feeding a little bit every second.

LST and defoliation goes on. Kush grows very compact.

I can't believe this was a emergency replacement seed, is one whole week behind the rest and still looks and smells super promising. This lady can drink liters per day, every day I find the top 5cm layer of soil dry. She usually receives about 1-1.2L water per day.

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds. She started to flower on August 3rd I have to force flower giving her total darkness because my house is full surrounded by the street lights and I wanna make sure that she flowers without any risk or problem,always have to do that with Photoperiods outdoors.

This lady is making me enjoy a lot her fragrance that come from her flowers, very good strain, the 3 phenos of ak420 smell exactly the same, very sweet and floral nugs, and they're starting to get very compact and dense, let's see how she keeps developing her beautiful flowers everybody! hi guys, although the plant was born at the end of summer it is growing well and fast, the vegetative growth lasted about 4 weeks

Environment + Pests + Setup This week (at day 31) I decided to end the battle against fungus gnats. Even after almost three weeks of dried-out soil, dozens of adult insects could be seen, which told me that there were pockets of moisture that I coouldn't influence. Accordingly, I went back to the original plan I had outlined earlier: bring the system into balance and use sand and nematodes. Since I should no longer have any problems with low RH, I have also reactivated the exhaust fan, which lead to the values you can see above. Nutrients + Environment From the outset, the plants showed a slight nitrogen deficiency, which was evident in their rather pale, light green color. This is probably due to the fact that the substrate (until now) did not contain enough moisture to allow metabolic and decomposition processes to proceed efficiently. Directly after watering I got reassured that my choice was right and the soil still alive, healthy, and ready to 'get back to work': look at those springtails! Plants On day 30, I topped the plants. Both had already formed three nodes and started to develop healthy side branches at all of these nodes. So, according to my plan, I removed the main shoot, leaving enough space for the stump to encapsulate without damaging the healthy plant. I also removed one shoot from each of the middle nodes, as I don't want branches that already grow towards the center (the branches will grow towards the light anyway, and this way I can ensure that there is enough air circulation and room for expansion). Day 77-84 (April 17th-24th) (Day 78) I honestly cant believe I’ve been vegging this long. The growth for almost 80 days of veg is laughable. I’ve compiled a little list of what has gone wrong so far. - I added too much glacial moraine which made the soil too water retentive - I’ve been foliar feeding too much kelp - I gave too many bloom nutrients for a plant in veg - EDIT: DID NOT WATER ENOUGH AT ONCE The plants have been drooping like crazy this past week and I’m going to try watering in a full gallon per plant. I first thought it was from the medium not drying out enough, soil compaction ect. and I’m sure those are definitely areas where my soil mix could improve but the bottom of the container is pretty damn dry. I could actually be under watering despite soaking the top with 500ml a day. I’m going to sit the pots on some plastic sheeting so they don’t evaporate as much from the bottom and water in a full gallon each making sure I get some runoff. I was going to wait until I get my air pump but fuck it, it’s coming tomorrow afternoon. The pots are so big that they’re not fully wetting to the bottom even with a gallon. I’m going to try to water in a gallon every 4 days while keeping the top soil moist with the sprayer. In hindsight 6 plants in 5-7 gallon pots would be the most ideal. (Day 79) Holy fuck did a full gallon watering make a difference. I should have been doing this the whole time. All 4 plants are praying and stretching upward like crazy. They just look more vigorous and happy within a day. I bet they will be even happier with that supplemental air. If things stay this smooth I should be able to flip around day 84, possibly earlier. Got my air pump in the mail today. This is kind of a shot in the dark so hopefully it works. It’s super loud and vibrates like crazy. First I’m going to try running it 24/7 and see if there is any improvement over the next few days. If it does work, I’ll try running it on my humidity controller so it’s not constantly humming and will only turn on when the humidity is high. I’m going to turn the night time temps down to 70f to prevent root problems now that I’m watering much bigger amounts less frequently and it’s getting warmer during the day. (Day 81/Day 1F) Ever since I’ve been watering in the proper amounts I have seen an absolute explosion in growth. I’ve decided to flip today, now that I’m confident my soil mix isn’t completely fucked. I might run into some N/mg problems during the stretch so I will make sure to give a final foliar feeding around the end of week 1. (Day 3F) So I’m literally seeing dwc growth rates now. Plants have grown more in the last 5 days than the last 3 weeks. If I had stayed at this pace of growth since day 1, I would have an 8 foot tall plant or I would be halfway through flower already. Oh well. Good learning experience. *grits teeth* I’m going to put up the second layer of trellis before these girls stretch out of control. Bbb#3 is seriously stretchy and will likely more than double in size in the next 2 weeks. The other 4 are all quite stout and bushy. I’m giving a light, preemptive defoliation each day and picking off some of the lower sucker branches. I will do a full strip around day 21F.

4/22/21 - I’m staying on the nutrient feed schedule above (Week 2). I will switch to Week 3 on the schedule next week. Something might be eating one of the leaves but we couldn’t find any bugs (see pics). I fed them both with nutrients. 4/23/21 - I think the “bug problem” might be nutrient burn from accidentally getting the nutrients on the actual leaves. The plants are looking good today. Lots of growth underneath. The plants have grown half an inch since last week! 4/24/21 - Watered with nutrients again today. Going to start doing nutrients every other day. Plants are doing great, might need to defoliate again tomorrow. 4/25/21 - Lowered the light today and adjusted the fan to hit the plants better. One of the plants is feeling a little wilted to the touch, going to keep an eye on it over the next few days. 4/26/21 - Watered the plants with water today. (Ph 6) The wilted feeling plant hasn’t shown much improvement. Did some defoliation this morning. *Gave both plants a one gallon flush with Sledgehammer* 4/27/21 - I did not water the plants today. I am going to let the soil dry completely before I water again. The plants seem to be doing well since the flush. 4/28/21 - Today I watered both plants with nutrients. The wilted feeling plant feels much better today.

So the end is here. Its time, only damage from this point on, in this case.. I chopped her. She is hanging... strong pine smell with a little lemon. Not my favorite that's for sure.

Got a new light this week, it's basically a HLG 260 R-Spec except locally manufactured using the same Samsung LEDs. Big Mumma got her 60x60cm tent today and will go in there under one Viparspectra 300W blurple (130w from the wall). I trimmed her, super cropped her main stem and added a scrog net in preparation of flowering her in the next couple of days. Because my other plants were getting up past 75cm after 7 days of flower (100cm is my absolute max) , I decided to supercrop the canopy back down to about 60-65cm - it was pretty scary and I definitely broke the outer stem on some of them. Also gave them a good trim. Fortunately most bounced back strong the next day which are the most up-to-date photos you see (17/4/20).
