They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! I’m a week late posting on these as I was a week ahead in the timeframe for this diary because of the new Germination option. We are caught up now day wise anyway, and all is good. Finally got her into the flowering tent and into my 5 gal RDWC system under a 1000w HPS on a light rail mover. We flipped her to flowering as soon as we got her in because my DWC systems tend to grow big ass plants. Lol so I’ve decided to flip without much of my screen full and let the stretch fill it. I will also be hitting them at 1000w rite from the start instead of trying to turn it down and get it closer to save power consumption. I will be starting with the light already up as high as it can be at about 3 ft above the screen. I’ve also shortened the span of my rail mover and set my pauses shorter at about 10 sec. with the light at 1000w we get a better spread out on the light meter and don’t need to move the light as far. I’m also going to keep tucking till they completely stop stretching in an effort to keep them as low as possible. We also had some excessive nitrogen build up a couple weeks ago and dropped the ec way down to 0.2 for the next week. They responded quick and went in the opposite direction very fast and before I new it we had nitrogen deficiency. Lol so we got them sitting around 0.75 EC now and they are coming back around. Well that’s it for this week, Cheers! 💨

Smells sosweeeeeet 😜 Change Sunday

Starting to really be thirsty. Soon as I started the nutrients they started drinking almost twice as much water. Did some low stress training this week and probably continue tying back and levelling through the next two weeks. Since it’s an empty tent right now really letting them stretch out ;p

Day 57: Girls looking good and healthy. Got the HLG turned up 100% pumping 500 watt to em! We shall see. Still only given around 500ppm nutes. Day 58: Got mostly cloudy with just a couple amber it looks like. I'm thinking I need to start flushing. Albeit, only on one plant. I will wait a few days more until I make a decision. Day 59: Still looking beautiful! Buds are getting thicker! Decided I will give MOAB till week 10 and check the tric's at that time. Prob start flushing at that time. Only time will tell. Day 60: Girls looking good. 👊 Not gonna lie, getting nervous as I do not want to cut em too soon or too late. This is a tough spot. The one has a ton of red hairs. It looked as if there was just a couple of amber that I found the other day. I was looking on the outside of the buds, also. So I know the inside is where I need to look. Just not wanting to jack with them too much. I will check again at end of week. Day 61: Busy. No updates. Day 62: These girls are starting to smell amazing!! I don't see any noticeable growth here lately. I'm hoping they start to bulk even more though as I think I am still seeing some clear trichomes. Day 63: Welp, all is well and no new updates. I been feeding pretty heavy so I will back off and just water tomorrow.

Not much for this week to report. I was hoping to harvest it in 7-8 weeks of flowering but I dont see it happening. By the look of it in the end of 6th flowering week it will need 3 or more weeks. Almost all pistils are still white but the buds are getting fatter so will be worth the wait.

Week 8 is finally here! We changed up the nutrient feeding to the week 8 on the feed chart. I am diluting everything at a 50-40% rate to keep EC within acceptable ranges of 0.8 - 1.1 EC. I started adding Terpinator to the mix and I do notice a significant smell increase vs. without it. I am going to keep using this as I think it is a great supplement. I did figure out that even though on the bottle and on the specific feed chart, it says it is a light formula that will have minimal impact on EC and will not burn your plants at the recommended rates - it will! First time mixing up my nutrients with terpinator, I had to dilute it because the EC was too high. I put the recommended amount in my mix, and checked EC and low and behold it was high. The next feeding I did a 50% dilution rate and that seemed to be ok if you are diluting your other inputs properly to compensate. ALWAYS make sure your EC and PH are in check prior to fertigating your plants. I am watching the trichomes on a daily basis and am looking to harvest sometime this week or next. I plan to dry it in the tent it is growing in as it has AC and good airflow. Once they are done drying, they will get trimmed up, lightly vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer. Updates will be coming throughout the week!

Really starting to flower everywhere. Was hoping for some more height before flowering started, but now I just need to make sure the baby girl packs on as much flower as possible! Got a new camera so the pictures should be better as well! Let me know what you think…. About the height of the plant and the new camera!!! It gets more beautiful from week to week 😍. The buds are getting thicker and thicker and already smell very good :-). The time has come when she no longer puts her strength into growth but into the flowers :-). It was poured 3 times this week with 1.2 l each time. When watering, there was 1 g of GHSC enhancer per liter of water as every 2 weeks 👍. Of course, as always, the tent was cleaned every day and the humidifier refilled. The complete filter system was also checked again. I filled the tank with fresh osmosis water for the coming week. I wish you all a nice week. So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Well I found out what happened to the plant. Took forever to get the footage but I finally did. Windy Day + Forgot To Water = Plants Blown Over The Edge I also moved the other plant inside to see if it will do any better vs outside in the cold wet weather, stringed up some other lights and will update this soon. Just wanted to get the main pic of the missing plant up and my disappointment for the side by side contest. Given the outcome of the Dynomyco contest I will not be giving them credit for anything and will remove all branding in this contest. They have picked a diary that did not adhere to the rules they set in place then they arbitrarily changed the rules.... Sick of this shit from companies and grow diaries. The diary they picked as #1 is a joke, it does not showcase the product at all. Its a good looking plant but it does not tick any of the boxes for the contest. From the contest page. The selected growers are required to do the following: post updates of their plants to the forum – GROW JOURNAL SECTION - twice a week and tag "DYNOMYCO SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT " Upload your side-by-side photos includes: Your application of DYNOMYCO into your growing mediums At every transplant, you MUST snap root pics, General pictures of your plants (stem, leaves, and plant health) At harvest time we want to see those rootballs!! A minimum of 2 plants For your side-by-side you must use cuttings from the same strain Not once did the "winner" tag Dynomyco show us what you got as requested in the rules in the diary or any comment on the diary. Nor did they mention this was a comparative grow using Dynomyco. They called the diary side by side and that's it no other communication. They did not document every transplant, and the one they did do was one single photo. "pics" as in plural as per contest rules. They did not use clones/cuttings from the same strain as was the contest requirements, Over all a complete shit show and I would not recommend using this product if you use any form of phosphorous fertilizer It will not add anything for your grow. Zero application outside of soil based grows in the earth, not a pot. My strawberry pies are getting cut down on day 82, they all have some huge thick, dense buds and smell like strawberry cheese cake! By far my favorite strain to date I have grown can’t wait to give a smoke report! Thanks for following & happy growing friends!

Day 70 Bloom time checking trikes. Clear but think and long. Good head forming on trikes. I'll try to take some pics. Check em out. Day 71 Bloom. Day 72 Watered them because the pot seemed light. I also upgraded my grow room with a sensor that records humidity and temperature 24 hours a day and uploads it to my phone to see high low or potential problems. I checked the trichomes with a Jeweler's loupe in my microscope and they're still clear possibly turning cloudy. Maybe 10% cloudy Day 73 Same for trikes at day 72. The plant in the front left looks like she's suffering from some deficiency. So I'm going to give her some spot treatments of some quick nutrients. Day 74 I hope I don't burn her. But I feel I need more than a micro dose. Friend dropped off some Overdrive. I'm gonna dose them tonight. I keep thinking of the song should I cut or Let It Grow. If no cut tomorrow maybe double should I cut or Let It Grow now. LOL can you get the song Day 75 Bloom plants not showing signs of stress from feeding. Gonna hold off on pics for a few days to show a greater change. Day 76 The plant is showing nanners so I'm pulling her from the grow tent for 48 hours of Darkness then I'm cultivating her. The other plants are still fattening their buds with white stigmas so I'm going to let them go a few more days.
