Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Ladys Gets bigger

Week 5 | Day 40 Start Date: 9 May Veg Days: 35 Flower Days: 5 All plants are well underway in flower. They have reacted well to the flush and new nutrient volumes I put in. I will leave it for about two weeks before I do another nutrient top-up, planning on lowering the grow and increasing the bloom as the plants start sucking up more potassium. I took a series of clones, but they didn't even make a dent in the amount of nodes that have started stretching. Will have to clear up a few stems to get light in amongst the trees. The two strains are starting to show their true colours- the orange sherbert isn't growing particularly tall and the blur gelato seems to definitely be the strong er of the two strains, but only final yield will tell! The BG plant closest to the fan is thiiiiiic. Stem is looking amazing an cannot wait to see what it yields.

I have build a new lamp holder. Doesn't look reliable, but still strong enough to keep the lamp above the plant. I didn't want to change nutrients ration before I'd a real flowering, but she thinks different, at 4th day I found some sick leaves. Wasn't really sure why was that, I bet for lack of K, so I increased bloom and grow nutrients. And the next day I also decided to add bacterias. Also, since she wasn't growing fast, I bought vitamins (B52) to help her. I could've done it earlier, I just didn't have it at home :D Now, when she entering flowering, she becomes much less flexible and more fragile. So I don't really stretch her anymore, just sorting up some top leaves, so the buds would get more light. Also I continue doing defoliation as before. Idk, what to think, cause I was sure, I'd see some real buds this week, but I didn't. She's switching really slow, and didn't grow as much as I expected. I switched light time from 22/2 to 20/4. Previous time was experimental for me, and now I'm afraid that it might be a problem for slow growing, we'll see how it goes now. But, perhaps, slow growth is consequence of tops, that I've done and now she just needs more time and I shouldn't worry that much. Anyway, she still looks mostly healthy for me. What do you think?

We arrived in the third week the plants show good vigor and growth. Some cold days 17 Cº may have prevented further growth but we do not have to complain the plants demonstrate to be enjoying food and light. On the 15th the plants presented slightly wilted leaves as day 16 was the day of watering I imagined it was thirsty. But day 16 a few hours after watering the plant still had the same symptoms so I realized that the LED screen was 53 cm from the plant. I increased the distance to 65cm and the plant returned to normal both in force and I managed to correct the diagnosis. I am managing to apprehend some things finally putting into practice.

I did some barrier as is the last week i can do foliar spray as these bastards but furthermore is really a red flag as u can create the conditions for contract some fungi. By a lot of having still figuring out the perfection of both illumination & thermals , still trying to enhance the light spectrum , and doing the first interaction with uv exposition to check that plants dont stress or physically burn, as i want to do the uv shit for late flowering as i expect by genetics this shit SHOULD BE A QUICK FLOWERING so, im entering to late flowering and do it for entire 4 weeks and then consider if plants show that are ripe enough, considering there is a quick underdeveloped automatic at bottom on a 12/12 scenario, and thus that motherfucker will not be forgiven by it unstability of this batch. 👻 Also i noticed i had slight fox-tailing that was quite provoked by messed up outside weather, so i still may need to ellaborate on lights to prevent excess of generated heat as well, as can incur in some penalty . Still working on my canopy. I did some defoliation in order to encourage growth at the bud sites and improve circulation. I have 3-4 weeks until her sister is mature enough to flower. I took a gamble and germinated another seed two weeks ago because the one I originally planted with her turned out to be male. I hope it will be mature enough to produce a decent yield. Even though it will only have been growing for 4 weeks. By that time I expect most of the bud sites on the older plant to have grown through the trellis, and I should have a nice even canopy. The second plant will just be grown as is with very little training. I don't want to slow its growth at all.

The Mandarin Squeeze sisters are making good progress. I did a neem oil treatment on everything in the grow room 4 days ago. I am doing it again today. I have a pest but have not seen it directly. I find super tiny white clear sacs on the leaves. Might be eggs. Regardless I have everything on a treatment plan that I can treat. The video was done after all treatments, and training for the day. Plants are chilling, added in some bokashi and dry amendments, not expecting much more from this plant, just needs to finish growing and we can be done.

Growing this purple was easy Going most of the way, Only drawback was she grew so big it was hard anchoring her down in the basket from the tilts, but once she was down she put on a show. Her heavy Buds were thick, hard oozing resin was potent and sticky I quickly scooped up some falling Trichomes from beneath my tray Loaded my chamber 220c and 8hrs later I finished my day.Probably could have taken half that time had i not loaded that first bowl then the next....... 😎 Just a tad over 12 Oz on my quest to hit 1 pound per plant.
