So far so good, starting to get a nice smell comin from the tent. Pheno 3 is still the frostiest n chunkiest but very leafy. Number one has the least frost but the colas are stacking nice. I think number 4 is starting to look the best buds are catching up to number 3 but not as leafy/ gonna b easier to trim

Nutrients completed on majority of the plants some smaller plants will remain being fed until Wednesday before flushing I rearranged the tents ready for drying purposes with 4 plants that were flushing in the dry room. I came gone to find one had collapsed. This is the heaviest plant (I am interested to see what it yields) Because it snapped at the stork I hung it up to dry and will be dry Tuesday 29th this week The rest will be ready after a successful flush. Earlier in my diary I did a test for which coco was the best. I can assure you that coco eco-thrive produced the tallest and most stacked plants Plain coco was the next which produced a medium yield plant of medium height. Last was coco with pebbles. I wanted this to win but believe me it has the worst growth and the least yields for this particular grow. So I would advise buying the eco thrive coco. It is such a good product if you can get your hands on it. It’s a very strong smelling this grow please note this when you start. But to be honest value for money I will definately grow this again. Week 4 of flower…gettin cheesy in here. Brought the nutrient strength from aggressive to medium as I started to see some tip burn. Amazing to see so many colas forming! Loving my first grow, such an addicting hobby!

A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Roots require a substantial amount of ATP for essential functions like nutrient and water absorption, as well as growth and maintenance of their tissues. The primary form of respiration in healthy plant roots is aerobic respiration, which is highly efficient, yielding up to 30-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule. Anaerobic Respiration (Inefficient): If roots are deprived of oxygen (e.g., in waterlogged soil), they switch to anaerobic respiration, which is far less efficient, producing only 2 ATP molecules per glucose molecule and also generating alcohol, which can be toxic and kill the plant. Therefore, a plant with healthy, oxygenated roots performing efficient aerobic respiration in addition to the rest of the plant's cellular respiration has a much greater overall ATP production and energy capacity. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Hey Guys! The last 2-3 weeks have been somewhat difficult. The “Load shedding” cut-offs has increased to stage +5 level which means 5 hours without electricity each day! 😒 🤢 Suck’s right? Well, that ain’t where my headache ends. To make matters even worse, due to all the on/off intervals our suburbs Sub-Station Transformer blew out - causing an overload & tripping the emergency leakage right after it gets switched back on. Then it’s a waiting game as City Officials needs to manually override the system, sometimes waiting up to 6 hours for them to respond to the call-out. Trying to keep things in check as best I can has taken its toll. Thus I’ve made the decision to harvest a little earlier than planned. I’ve noticed the flush taking affect underneath the leaves which is good enough for me at this point! (Besides, my smoke jar has been empty for almost 2 weeks now) - Thus why I’ve decided to harvest a little early than normal. I had started with the flush on 2 July after 8,5 weeks into reproductive stage. Initially planned to flush them down for 2-3 weeks until the flower period had reached 12-13th weeks total. ∴ 10 day flush done! She has been grow well. Quebec Blast did great with root pruning. I increased nutrition a little. Did my weekly solution change. Also changed light schedule to 12 12 today to flower them. This strain really impressed me and cant wait to start one in a 3 gal pot to see her full potential. For only being grown in a 1 gallon pot she produced a whopping 510 grams after being wet trimmed and should pull over a quarter pound once dried. buds smelly very sweet with a hint of some funk

Same this week. Some stretching and lst as it follows.In the second watering with 1L saw run off for first time. I think that I will lst again in (if necessary) the first days of next week and then stop.

As of day 14, I am happy (although a little worried) about how the grow is going. Growth continues to be somewhat strong and new growth seems to be healthy, but the issue that affected the lower leaves has left me a little spooked. It has continued to the second set of leaves to a limited degree. I have mostly eradicated the fungus gnats who moved in from some houseplants so that is a plus. Poor transplanting technique could have also damaged the roots, as the issues became most apparent after potting up to 1 gallon containers. Although I have been very careful to PH my nutrients after mixing, I realize I was not PHing at every fertigation and may have missed some early swings upwards in my watering reservoir so I am now being more diligent making sure the PH is consistently under 6.2. I am hoping that these actions will have fixed whatever issue was occurring, but if there is anything I may have missed please let me know! I have a expanded the timelapse to contain all the growth up to day 14, and will continue to re-edit it for every week. Thanks for reading, and happy growing! Day 16: began LST to expose/encourage the new branches. There has been plenty of healthy new growth, so I suspect that the leaf issues were due to temporary PH fluctuations in my watering reservoir that went undetected. Thank you to those who answered my grow question! 👍 Day 17: FIMed the Blue Dream'matic, which has been growing strongly. I went a little more aggressive because in the past I have messed the technique up by getting mostly leaf instead of the new node of growth. Hopefully it goes well this time! Day 18: more LST will wait as my smaller plant Staples do not have enough hold, when I transplant to 5g pots I will continue. Day 20: a few lower leaves continue to show the browning. I will transplant at day 21 which will give me a chance to check the roots, and I will be adding h202 to my watering bucket to prevent pH swings due to bacteria (which I believe has caused the issue). The plant is still growing vigorously and is branching well post FIM.

gave plant a good spray down with warm water to dislodge mites. Also treated with castile soap and vinegar wash under all the leaves. Applied predatory mites the next day. So far no sign yet, fingers crossed.

Getting better day by day, we did try to correct a small calmag issue which was observed last week, but not really a big deal as we are already started to provide bloom nutrients, at the moment the girls are doing great under the TS1000 😃🤗

Woche über haben sich die Blüten weiter entwickelt. Die Trichome wurden mehr und man fängt an erste Terpene zu riechen. Wir haben Donnerstag (BT 2) stark entlaubt und schauen jetzt wie die Pflanzen wachsen. Papaya entwickelt die dicksten Buds bisher und allgemein ist sie der OG G.O.A.T

Ich bin selbst etwas überrascht, die Seven Freeze scheint bereits in die Blütephase wechseln zu wollen. Das ist überraschend, denn damit ist sie noch um ein paar Wochen früher als die früheste photoperiodische Pflanze, meine Durban Poison vom letzten Jahr. Das passt aber insofern zu den Männchen, deren Pollen bereits gesammelt wurden und nun in Gefriefach lagern. Es geht also nun bereits los, als nächstes werde ich eine Stelle mit den männlichen Pollen frühzeitig befruchten, damit die Samen ausreifen können. Ich hoffe das funktioniert, bei der Poison hat es schon einmal geklappt. Für Stecklinge ist es nun etwas spät, hatte ich bei der SEven FReeze aber sowieso nicht vor. I couldnt expected the buds on some of the plants to be tbis big we around 2 weeks to harvest i have a few different strains growing in the same tent and the smells are amazing
