Start week 5 tomorrow and I don't think crosses will be ready so I will figure it out. I mean, overall this was an extremely painless grow. The test of whether we should or shouldn't top autos is still TBD imo. Our topped candidate produced denser, frostier buds, but weighed slightly less, at 14 grams of bud total. And our lst plant produced 18 grams of bud, not as frosty, and almost as dense as our topped girl. I'll be topping autoflowers from here on out only under the circumstance I have 4+ to grow at the same time. Seems like it could be used to speed up the autoflower grow cycle if done properly, like with right. Since I'm doing a perpetual cycle, it's still a viable option for me in the long run. A few tips I have for anyone growing this strain in organics: Start feeding bloom nutes a little bit prior to flower transition - this makes the transition more seemless. From weeks 1-3 flower, I slowly dropped the grow dosage until I cut off grow nutes week 3 flower. Starting the flush around week 6 flower seemed to really bring out this plant's potential. But I think you could get away with starting the flush around week 5. I hope this helps anyone trying this strain out. It's a good one, I hope to see more journals of it, eventually. Cheers everyone! Was having quite a bit of difficulty with leaves yellowing, turning brown, and dying off. Couldn’t figure out what the deal was. Finally I ended up getting the ph up/down kit with the wide range PH tester. Learned that lesson the hard way. Mid way through the week when it was delivered, I put a bit of water through and tested the run off… 4.5 🤦‍♂️ Can’t believe I overlooked this. Used fox farms sledgehammer and added ph up, put water in at about 7.5/8.0 and tested the run off again and ideal ph was attained. Hopefully smooth sailing from here on out.

This is a test-grow of Barbarian, a cross of AK-47 from Serious Seeds with Barbara Bud from from House of the Great Gardener (HotGG) made by Mat, the head-breeder of HotGG, in Canada. I had the honor of getting three test seeds at the Cultiva-Tradeshow in Austria and could not wait to start them after I got home. The two test-plants were grown on soil under HPS and alongside my normal grow of AK-47 plants inside a big Secret Jardin tent and fed with Advanced nutrients.

Didn’t get too many pictures this time but they’re really starting to pack on resin now. They smell so good. Everything is going smoothly. Just gave them a flush with some SLF and Herculean Harvest. Runoff is already pretty significantly low. They’ll be getting the same flush again in a few days and then plain PH balanced water until they get chopped down. Planning on them fading super hard from this point on. All the buds are super dense. Can’t wait to try some sooner than later.

The plants have reached a stage where they have enough foliage and growth on them to begin training and defoliation. I cut most of the side growth and major fan leaves off. Using safety pins and twine, I started their LST.

I will be growing her again, as I feel like I let her down, by letting her PH drift so low.. Other than that, she grew beautifully, and fumes of potency as you gaze at her! She yielded more than I expected! She's not that far below my previously lowest yielding plant! :)

I started germination of 1 Gorilla Zkittlez bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get this lady situated into her home. Cant wait! Some Background information on my experience with Gorilla Zkittlez. I've grown this variety out twice so far. Once in a 15 gallon container which became a super branchy beast. That yielded a large amount and filled up it's own 4x4 tent with a little training. The second and most recent time was in a 1 gallon SOG grow. She also flourished in a fast flip SOG grow banging off a fat head frosty main cola, with a few satellite buds. Very adaptive strain and seems to flourish in any environment and any size space. Looking forward too my 3rd adventure with Barneys farms masterpiece.

24.10.25 When I look at the leaves I see them yellowing and fading which I thought was natural, however I think it is too early in the plants life cycle to be doing that. From my research online, it looks to me to be nutrient burn. At 1st I was thinking light burn. I'm a relatively new grower so if anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks. Reservoir change out today. I also reduced feeding by half recommended amount.
