Started using a Canadian product, Hygrozyme, to ward off Root Rot and help my roots. After 24 hours PH went from 5.7 to 6.7. A bit of slime as well. Did a sterilization with H2O2, rinsed the roots, waited an hour, then re-inoculated with Hygrozyme and my Tarantula Tea. 24 hours later (today). PH is up the same but no sign of rot. RePHed and good to go. Day 70: Brain Cake seemed thirsty and wanting more nutrients: Topped off water yesterday, added +3ml of hyro A&B and +1ml of power roots & pure enzyme. EC went from 0.8 -> 1.0 Day 71: Brain Cake is showing symptoms, many top leaves have deformed tips and light interveinal chlorosis starting on opposite end of the tip and dark interveinal chlorosis at the end of the tip. EC is 0.8-0.9 (not very accurate meter :/ ) Not sure whether this is a nutrient deficiency or excess/lockout. The ph has been between 5.6 and 6.5 most of the time the past week, the reservoir change was 4-5 days ago. Plagron indicates to give more hydo A&B in proportion to their roots and enzyme nutrients in the first weeks of flowering (during veg these are given in proportion), so maybe these new problems are due to the different balance of nutrients that I may have times wrongly. Finally the problems may be due to the water reservoirs holding approx 12 liters in practice and the Brain Cake drinks approx 2-3.5L a day so maybe the water res is very unstable but after a day the PH usually remains in range and the EC usually drops a bit the first day after adding nutrients and stays pretty stable the rest of the week. Any suggestions are more than welcome! Day 72: Yesterday evening made an upgraded reservoir for the Brain Cake dwc (as we suspect the leaf problems may be due to instable water because of small res and roots nearly completely filling the res). Now the Brain Cake is in a 60L box with approx 32L of water, EC set to 1.0 and ph 5.7-6.5. She seems to be happy, nice and perky this morning. FYI the roots seem more orange in the video! They are on the white side though, just a bit of stain from the nutrients but looking very good overall.

Week 1 of my little bulb experiment. Plant is growing pretty well and the early structure seems sturdy. I don’t know what Im going to do for light once it out grows the Feit 9W. May just leave it in the window.

Hey now! So after 8 days of drying, and 6 days of curing, I just tried the Sour Diesel in a glass water pipe, and she is freaking amazing. She burns nice and slow, with thick clouds of smoke, and tastes exactly like she should, like a sour/citrus/fuel with a very nice aftertaste. I ended up with less than 20% of wet weight, but I am so ecstatic with the quality, I could freaking care less! I have a fantasy football draft on Saturday night, and I can't wait for the rest of my league to sample her! I had so much fun with this grow, from constructing the watering/draining system, to learning more about photography and video, to meeting everyone in this community, and finally to smoking Nugs that I actually grew! Until next time, be safe everyone, and Blaze On!!!

July 20: 31 inches with a 16 cola manifold 👍😎. Definitely growing fast and has now pulled ahead of the 16 cola Bruce Banner Fast which is at 30 inches. Hot again today so a bit more water and a couple of mistings with hose water to cool off a bit and provide some humidity. One tomato plant that I realized had a potassium deficiency responded well to a potassium silicate foliar spray. You can learn some cool stuff growing dope. July 24: still growing fast and maybe starting to pre-flower which is fine cuz I’m starting the force flowering in a few days. This is just 12 h of darkness to get this photoperiod to start flowering. Yes, it’s a photoperiod plant from Fast Buds. And it’s awesome. Did another lazy compost tea which is just 5 gallon pail of water that’s sat out overnight to degas, two handfuls of mature compost, some molasses, kelp and Humic Blend, and finally a couple handfuls of shredded coco coir to give the bacteria some where to attach and grow. Leave overnight, maybe stir a couple times, but that’s all. 24-48 h maximum as you don’t want it going anaerobic (and stinky). After tea, she and the other girls got a nice top dressing of barley and Power Bloom with minor amounts of oyster shells (for calcium) and Azomite for trace metals. These are bloom nutrients in anticipation of the start of flowering this weekend. This has been the hottest 90 day period ever here in Edmonton, and lots of other places too.

Okay guys here my total review.🍭 I state that this is my first indoor plant so my skil ls are still basics, but i will learn 😇 Genetisc quality: IS TOP, Fastbuds is a guarantee of quality for autoflowering strains. (Goodjobs fastbuds❤️). The effects and the quality of the smoke is sometimg that need head processed, so let my some time😉. IN THE END, a valid strain.💪

Zum Start der 2. Woche wurde getoppt. Mal schauen, wie die Damen es verkraften. Läuft es wie geplant, wird nächstes Wochenende umgetopft.

The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil to be spread evenly on top of the soil. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 91°F. Skies were clear but it was super humid. I defolated some more today. I watered 3-4 gallons from the hose. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 94° with partly cloudy to clear skies. It was super hot and humid. I watered 3-4 gallons from the well. I'm defoliating a few leaves here and there and opening these girls up. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 94 with average humidity of 94. Skies were cloudy and we had thunderstorms that produced high winds and heavy rainfall. Several of my 7 gallon pots that hadn't rooted into the ground were blown over. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 83°F. It was super humid today and we had a very heavy fog this morning. I watered about 3.5-4 gallons from the well. Day 5 we had cooler weather today with a high temperature of 78°F. Skies were partly cloudy and I watered about 3 gallons from the hose. Day 6 we had cooler weather today with a high temperature of 79°F. Skies were mostly sunny and I watered about 3 gallons from the hose. I treated with Arber bio fungicide Day 7 we had a high temperature of 79° with mostly cloudy skies. The nights have been dripping below 69°F, creating an ideal environment for powdery mildew. I treated with Arber biofungicide. Lady bugs were released and are having an aphid feast. Overall this week was a success. The plants have stretched, but aren't finished. One of the plants topping at 8' 5". That height is measure from the top of the soil to the top of the plant. We have had very heavy dews, fog, rain, mist, and very high humidity the last few weeks. This week was very hard on the plants the cool nights really exasperated these girls issues with powdery mildew.

Day #24 I gave her some water although she wasn’t asking for it and did not absolutely need it . I will try and wait until she’s positively thirsty before I water her again. My tent humidity has been dropping as the pots dry out but when I check the moisture levels it shows “normal” also as my pots dry out the ph of the “medium” has risen to 6.8-7.1 . Deeeeeeeep at the bottom of the pot it is 5.5. I’m curious about the fluctuations of “soil medium” . Thought to check the accuracy of my ph pen today before watering & discovered it is out of calibration 2 weeks after initially setting it up . I think I’ll look for another PH pen that I can rely on however I’m glad I had the foresight to acquire ph solutions to be able check the accuracy of the calibration of my pen. I don’t want to feel the need to recalibrate before each use nor the desire to check the accuracy each time which is why I sprung for a more expensive pen this time rather than a “ super value “ ph . Back to the drawing board to find a better product . I am still happy with the performance , accuracy & reporting of my smart hygrometer. I am very glad I sent back the original one and replaced it with a competitor brand . I’m wondering should I be getting ready to give her a top dressed feeding in one week . Orrrrr will I wait until she starts showing hunger signs . I premixed more than the recommended amount of plant food when I transplanted her from her starter pot day #9. I’ll think on it a little more. Day 26 Update: She has EXCELLENT structure without any LST, Topping, or SuperCropping. Ponytailing has definitely brought out great growth. I’m a little sad. I believe that I’ve misused the total flower time of the 3 autos finishing in this tent. They have all been in flower since week 2 & 3 of their life . They are currently in weeks 7 & 8 of their life. I was thinking an 8 week flower but these look as if they can go 12-15 weeks. Sooo put simply, these autos may remain in my 5x5 the entirety of my 3 month vegging of “Cellie” Cereal Milk by RQS. The best shots will come once the tent gets harvested & she gets scrogged down . I’ve plucked 2 fan leaves finally although I really don’t want to defoliate any yet . Her lateral growth shoots are healthy and tenacious. I’m super happy with the number of arms & equality of height in the arms . I may eventually be interested in topping this naturally bushy plant . I really want a dramatic filling of this tent so I’m encouraging an over abundance of multiple branches. Branches that I will eventually tie down . Day#28 Update: she finished the week well & is becoming voluptuous . Given her majority indication indica leaning pheno is taking up this Gaia Green like a champ & I was questioning just how tall I think she’ll grow before growing/being trained to grow as wide as the tent . She may be a squat but wide bush 😂 . It’s too soon to tell, the lights are still between 40%-50% & watering is only sparingly as needed the last watering age received was day # 24. Give us a like. Week 5 has began !
